One thing suneel seems to have missed is many of us have solar power systems installed in our homes and we sell our excess units to DISCO (Distribution Company) through net metering on a much cheaper rate than the price we pay for our consumed units. So, if that excess electricity is used to charge these EVs, the per KM cost may actually be cut to half of what suneel calculated (or even lesser in some cases). EVs is the future of automotive industry, sooner one adopts them better it is for his own good and that of the human community.

battery mein Lifepo4 k B grade cells hain, is waja se 3000 cycles hain. A grade cells k 6000 cycles hote hain. lekin jo battery ki cost batayee jaa rahee hai woh A grade cells k mutabik hai.
biggest question is lithium ion battery are very sensitive to hot temperatures so the batteries will deteriorate faster subsequently range will drop maybe in an year or two, even with 100% battery health the car is doing 130km max without AC so once the health drops it will not give more than 100km after 2 years which is very less.no wonder what will be the range with two passengers, AC on, stuck in traffic when car is idle but consuming battery. I don't think it's a wise option to buy this.Hybrids are still a better option for Pakistan.
Its charger load is 3200 watts. Like running a 2 Ton AC . So a bigger solar system may be required like 4KW that will be able to charge it alone with no other load. I have experienced Chinese EV, this will significantly reduce its range with 2 or 4 passengers and in hot temp range is also reduced and battery life is shortened and risk of battery explosion. So definitely Pakistan is not a market for Chinese EVs.. high end EVs like tesla with efficient battery cooling system can survive in Pakistan but also still risk of catching battery fire, if driven continuously hours
@@sasyedji Tesla uses BYD battery for about half it's cars globally so the Chinese are very dominant in battery technology as well as EV brands. BYD sold more than Tesla globally and in hot places like Southern China, Thailand, Australia all Chinese EVs perform very well. They sell in UAE, Israel as well. Chinese EVs will not only survive but take over the market in Pakistan over the next ten years or so. Exactly like China is all dominant in smartphones globally. Also the best selling car in Pakistan above 1 Crore is the Haval H6 , check PAMA stats for last month. China leads high end in Pak.

I don't want to act like a typical Pakistani who carelessly says: 'flop ho jye gi/ failed gari ha ye' This vehicle is a good alternative to economy hatchbacks. Personally I can see this car as a good vehicle for women in particular as it has funky colours, and many features as well. However! The fact of the matter is that this car just isn't what Pakistan needs. Yes, it looks modern and has all the bells and whistles, but: a) It's too expensive for a small car, 4500000 /-PKR for this is a big ask! Especially when compared to Economy sector king Suzuki Alto, you can easily get a new top spec AGS alto for 30-ish lacs, and although Alto is scarce in features, it's still more value for money. I'll tell you why. b) It's dimensions are odd. Yes it's tall and wide, but those awful rear seats and practically no trunk space means that this car cannot seat 4 people comfortably with Luggage. And it's not a 4 door either, so people in the back will have to use front doors to get out and get in, which is not ideal. On the other hand, the (15 lacs less costing) Suzuki Alto has 2 more doors, has excellent rear space (alto has really good rear leg room admit it) and has a decent truck space as well! Needless to say you can take the entire family shopping with utmost comfort. c) We are Pakistanis, we can make our car do things that it wasn't intended for. We have seen Altos on the mountains, on the motorway, in the city center. I personally have seen people doing severe offroading on Alto because it's just so capable! I cannot see this little EV outside the city as for starters, the terrible battery range will run out before you know. And even if you do find a charger, good luck charging for 6 hours and getting 140 kms of range when that equivalent, cheaper Suzuki Alto has it's tank filled in less than 5 minutes, and has a range of 600 Kms which is 4x more. I know that the CEO of this company thinks that people won't go outside of town in this EV and they'll use this as a city car ONLY. But that's such an 'American thought'. Americans have Civics or Corollas as daily drivers and they usually have a big Chevy Tahoe or an Escalade for all that highway driving. Pakistanis don't do that Mr CEO, we use one car for 10 things. d) and sorry to say, it will fail massively because it's simply a Chinese car. Chinese cars are still nowhere as near recognized as korean or japanese cars. Suneel himself just said that the suspension started making cranking noises after just 500 Kms driven. Imagine what will happen to it at 5000 kms let alone 10000 kms or 20000 kms. e) and lastly, we come to the biggest reason for the inevitable failure of this car, it's an EV. I can very confidently say that if you would throw that EV setup in the trash and replace it with a simple 660 engine, this car would sell like hotcakes. The comfort and convenience of an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) car is unmatched even today! I mean think about it, the puny range will no longer be an issue, the long charge time will be eliminated. That's like half of the problems fixed. I don't hate this car, infact I like it a lot. It's better than that Rinco Aria crap. But the Pakistani market is extremely one sided, and will never let this car survive. Well let's see, I wish to see this car to get record sales and I'll be more than happy to be proven wrong. Good luck.
I'm curious, what's the range of an Alto with an empty tank due to fuel shortages?! Zero?!? So I think that's where this car truly is in a league of it's own and presents are rather prosperous proposition to average Pakistani's. And because it's not a Tesla, because it's only a tiny little battery, it can be charged virtually anywhere. I could easily foresee chargers popping up at virtually every road side hotel in Pakistan...and not with on grid electricity sources but rather solar/wind. Also, two hours on Pakistani roads in any small car leaves one feeling a tad sore! So a chai stop every 80-100km's would be a very Pakistani thing to do, and why not top up at the same time?! I do agree with a lot of what you've raised though, while this has many fantastic features, it also maybe would need to be tweaked for Pakistani requirements. Then again, it's nice to see a car that isn't the typical little metal box on wheels, that doesn't have a noisy/smokey/ICE engine. And without painting all Pakistani's with the same brush or being stereotypical, there is a bit of a national "culture" to not really "think ahead". If you're a visionary, Pakistan's arguably one of the hardest places on the planet! Virtually every successive government gets money and loads up debt for "today" without any thought of "tomorrow". If Pakistan is to ever get out of its financial conundrum it needs to start thinking outside the box a little more. The dependency on oil/Saudi etc needs to end. Have cheap, abundant, clean electricity ought to be a government priority. If I'm not mistaken, from memory it would only cost less than 100 million USD to install enough solar panels in Pakistan to generate it's entire daily usage of electricity and more! The best part? Those panels wouldn't even cover the roof tops of a fraction of Pakistan's largest government buildings! In other words, no large solar farms are required. Simply spend a little doing massive solar installations on all government owned buildings, some of which would be extremely easy to do and could be done in a cost effective manner by the army even! And in so doing, create energy freedom! Imagine the economic benefits if the Pakistani government then offered free electricity to all it's citizens and businesses for the next five years! The innovation, the industries that would spawn, the debt and cost of living relief to many of it's poorest citizens! It's this long term thinking that is regrettably really lacking in Pakistan. The focus is always "it's 30 instead of 45" not taking into account that it's actually 30 + 8 years of fuel @6 lakh per anum vs 45 + free solar! Instead of taking the 45 lakh option, most Pakistanis would rather take the 78 lakh option of an Alto! And hence, Pakistan struggles. It could be argued that buying electric vehicles and installing solar is one of the most patriotic things a Pakistani could do! It greatly reduces the countries import requirements, improves foreign exchange, reduces the price of goods due to a stronger currency and more! But people just see the 30 lakh price instead of the real cost. Anyway, interesting thoughts.

You have compared the pricing and fuel milage of Alto with this EV, but not considered the mechanical wear and tear and regular servicing such as oil change and filter. It will make significant difference to overall cost.
I think Gasoline vehicle kay sath isko compare karne ka koi tukk nahi banta agar karna hi hai tou kisi Ev vehicle kay sath karain like "Rinco Aria" or "Nur e 75".
Lets see. 1- About 6 hours charge time. 2- Distance anxiety of about 140 -150km as per this review. 3- Mediocre suspension considering our local road structure. 4- Above 4 million price tag. 5-Dealership limitations. 6-Passenger and luggage space limitations. It would be a very brave decision to buy for some common usage and city rides.

One more factor to be considered is that these cars can be charged through solar energy produced at homes, so cost and impact on environment can be reduced.
Precisely what so many overlook! And no fear of fuel running out! Being under 18kwh's of storage, even a small system of 3-4kw could probably charge this in a day throughout Pakistan. In otherwords, 145kms of free travel every single day! That's something an Alto can't do!

18 units x 30 days= 540 units/ per month. 5 kw net metering solar system provides 600-650 units/ month, so car will run free of cost for the whole month. Batteries are becoming cheaper year by year in international market, research is being done on sodium ion batteries and more alternatives. After 5 years batteries that will provide with the same driving range (150-200km) will be much more cheaper than they are today.

Great calculations. Another thing to consider is that if you try to sell this after using it for two three years. This will probably have much worse resale value as compared to a Suzuki Alto. And in the next 2-3 years, there will be much better electric cars available in the market, this will also greatly impact the resale value of this car.
You forgot about maintenance cost like oil change, filter change etc for alto. You've added 1rs for maintenance costs same as the ev which is unrealistic. Plus you didn't mention how the AC performance is which is vital for people living in Pakistan considering how hot it gets in summers

For Fast charging need Thermal management (Heating-Cooling of battery) Its good option for people who have solar power. Alto is manual & No displays , so many other features in this car. No oil changes etc. As a Tesla Y owner, after 25k miles/40233 Km, I have never been to any Petrol Pump or Service or Dealer. Smooth Quiet Drive

mera bhi yehi sauch tha aur LFP ke 6000 cycles ke mutabiq battery ka life 16 saal sei zeyada hei...voh be satr fecede tak.

Americans have Civics or Corollas as daily drivers and they usually have a big Chevy Tahoe or an Escalade for all that highway driving. Pakistanis don't do that Mr CEO, we use one car for 10 things.
d) and sorry to say, it will fail massively because it's simply a Chinese car. Chinese cars are still nowhere as near recognized as korean or japanese cars. Suneel himself just said that the suspension started making cranking noises after just 500 Kms driven. Imagine what will happen to it at 5000 kms let alone 10000 kms or 20000 kms.
e) and lastly, we come to the biggest reason for the inevitable failure of this car, it's an EV. I can very confidently say that if you would throw that EV setup in the trash and replace it with a simple 660 engine, this car would sell like hotcakes. The comfort and convenience of an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) car is unmatched even today! I mean think about it, the puny range will no longer be an issue, the long charge time will be eliminated. That's like half of the problems fixed.
I don't hate this car, infact I like it a lot. It's better than that Rinco Aria crap. But the Pakistani market is extremely one sided, and will never let this car survive. Well let's see, I wish to see this car to get record sales and I'll be more than happy to be proven wrong.

I'm curious, what's the range of an Alto with an empty tank due to fuel shortages?! Zero?!? So I think that's where this car truly is in a league of it's own and presents are rather prosperous proposition to average Pakistani's. And because it's not a Tesla, because it's only a tiny little battery, it can be charged virtually anywhere. I could easily foresee chargers popping up at virtually every road side hotel in Pakistan...and not with on grid electricity sources but rather solar/wind. Also, two hours on Pakistani roads in any small car leaves one feeling a tad sore! So a chai stop every 80-100km's would be a very Pakistani thing to do, and why not top up at the same time?!
I do agree with a lot of what you've raised though, while this has many fantastic features, it also maybe would need to be tweaked for Pakistani requirements. Then again, it's nice to see a car that isn't the typical little metal box on wheels, that doesn't have a noisy/smokey/ICE engine. And without painting all Pakistani's with the same brush or being stereotypical, there is a bit of a national "culture" to not really "think ahead". If you're a visionary, Pakistan's arguably one of the hardest places on the planet!
Virtually every successive government gets money and loads up debt for "today" without any thought of "tomorrow". If Pakistan is to ever get out of its financial conundrum it needs to start thinking outside the box a little more. The dependency on oil/Saudi etc needs to end. Have cheap, abundant, clean electricity ought to be a government priority. If I'm not mistaken, from memory it would only cost less than 100 million USD to install enough solar panels in Pakistan to generate it's entire daily usage of electricity and more! The best part? Those panels wouldn't even cover the roof tops of a fraction of Pakistan's largest government buildings!
In other words, no large solar farms are required. Simply spend a little doing massive solar installations on all government owned buildings, some of which would be extremely easy to do and could be done in a cost effective manner by the army even! And in so doing, create energy freedom! Imagine the economic benefits if the Pakistani government then offered free electricity to all it's citizens and businesses for the next five years! The innovation, the industries that would spawn, the debt and cost of living relief to many of it's poorest citizens!
It's this long term thinking that is regrettably really lacking in Pakistan. The focus is always "it's 30 instead of 45" not taking into account that it's actually 30 + 8 years of fuel @6 lakh per anum vs 45 + free solar! Instead of taking the 45 lakh option, most Pakistanis would rather take the 78 lakh option of an Alto! And hence, Pakistan struggles. It could be argued that buying electric vehicles and installing solar is one of the most patriotic things a Pakistani could do! It greatly reduces the countries import requirements, improves foreign exchange, reduces the price of goods due to a stronger currency and more! But people just see the 30 lakh price instead of the real cost.

Count the cost, not the price. In Pakistan, it seems, only the price is important not the cost. You have compared the pricing and fuel milage of Alto with this EV, but not considered the mechanical wear and tear and regular servicing such as oil change and filter. It will make significant difference to overall cost.

One more factor to be considered is that these cars can be charged through solar energy produced at homes, so cost and impact on environment can be reduced.
Precisely what so many overlook! And no fear of fuel running out! Being under 18kwh's of storage, even a small system of 3-4kw could probably charge this in a day throughout Pakistan. In otherwords, 145kms of free travel every single day! That's something an Alto can't do!

Batteries are becoming cheaper year by year in international market, research is being done on sodium ion batteries and more alternatives. After 5 years batteries that will provide with the same driving range (150-200km) will be much more cheaper than they are today.

Great calculations. Another thing to consider is that if you try to sell this after using it for two three years. This will probably have much worse resale value as compared to a Suzuki Alto. And in the next 2-3 years, there will be much better electric cars available in the market, this will also greatly impact the resale value of this car.

You forgot about maintenance cost like oil change, filter change etc for alto. You've added 1rs for maintenance costs same as the ev which is unrealistic. Plus you didn't mention how the AC performance is which is vital for people living in Pakistan considering how hot it gets in summers

For Fast charging need Thermal management (Heating-Cooling of battery) Its good option for people who have solar power. Alto is manual & No displays , so many other features in this car. No oil changes etc. As a Tesla Y owner, after 25k miles/40233 Km, I have never been to any Petrol Pump or Service or Dealer. Smooth Quiet Drive
