In today's adventure, I found myself in a bit of a predicament on the beautiful Isle of Man. 😅After an amazing day riding through the island's stunning landscapes, I realized I lost my motorcycle keys! With no spare key in sight and the sun setting fast, I had to make the tough decision to leave my beloved bike alone overnight.
In this video, you'll join me as I retrace my steps, search high and low for the keys, and navigate the challenges of being stranded far from home. From the initial panic to the unexpected kindness of strangers, this experience taught me a lot about the ups and downs of motorcycle travel.

I lost a bike key when I was camping once. Looked for it for hours without success. As it happened the bike was limping along anyway (turned out I'd put a hole in one of the pistons!) so I just got recovered home. Started using a spare key and completely forgot about the lost key.
Ended up buying a better tent (a Khyam quick erect tent - absolutely brilliant and highly recommend them btw) so didn't use the old tent again for many years until I had a family.
First time I put the tent up again about 10 years later I found the keys hidden in a small pocket on the inside of the tent! 😂

I hate that your most engaging videos are the ones where bad things happen. But i love that you document and post these. They help me and other riders not make the same mistakes. Also, brutal honesty is endearing! I hope you do well and continue sharing.

I lost my motorbike key only yesterday and searched all my pockets in panic only to discover I'd left them in the bike which was still there in the street and amazingly it had not been stolen. That was my wake up call. Phew!

I love your honesty. I always keep my keys in the zip up pocket of my trousers when touring, I would never put the only keys to my motorbike in my backpack. Glad you found them though!

As someone that has been doing long distance motorcyle riding for many years I learned the hard way years ago to always carry a spare key somewhere secure. I often keep mine on a lanyard around my neck so I always know it is there just in case. Love your channel.

Saffy, ALWAYS carry your spare key with you EVERY TIME you go for a ride. The weirdest combination of things can cause you to either temporarily or permanently lose your primary key. Take this advice from someone who has "been there, done that." Good luck, and I am sure I will not be the only one to make this suggestion/recommendation.

Saffy, when i was a kid my mom used to stitch my mittens into my jacket so it would be impossible for me to lose them, well yeah, you know where this is going 😂 I swear you simultaneously have the worst and best luck of anyone I've ever heard of. Glad you found them though, that would have been a pain in the backside to try and sort out. Well done to that girl and her dad for finding them. Have a good week Saff, take it steady

Oh Saffron...!! May I suggest you get a hi viz keyring so that if, (when) you lose them you can easily spot them. Or, get into a routine, gloves off, helmet off, then do what I do and straight away put them in an inside jacket pocket, then you know where they are at all times

Remember riding home one night and big 800 mile round trip starting for that weekend the following day and went to turn off ignition and no key as it had vibrated out. Luckily had spare in house but old bike with worn ignition switch. Imagine how bad that would be when you stop to refuel as same key did fuel tank lock as well. As we get older we can arrive home put bike away put lid and gloves and bike gear away and spend hours looking for that place you absentlly minded put the key. Retracing your steps again and again sometimes even the next day its still hiding. Blaming the cat or dog whom obviously must have took it. Then just how good it feels when you find it. Thinking if it goes missing again that's the first place I'll check but to no avail as the magic fairies hide it elsewhere. 😂😂

You should probably get a Tile keyring tag to attach to your keys. They work with an app on your phone so you can track it down to within a few yards & then make it ring an alarm so you can find it easily. They cost just a few quid & last about a year before you need to replace them.

This is why I have a spare secreted in my jacket 😉 though normally when I’m panicking they’re either in the seat lock or top box 😃🍻
My house keys fell out of my motorcycle jacket while I was riding . Thankfully an AirTag on my key ring traced it back to a round about where someone had put them on a wall. So happy you found the keys in the end ! An AirTag would have made for a duller video 😂
Wow ,you must have been so relieved when you got your keys back ,🎉 it happened to me last year in Spain ,but I was not so lucky in getting them back .I had to get them sent to me which took over a week .so my biking holiday turned into a walking holiday 😂

Your record matches mine for losing them. Worse now with contactless fob as if you drop them engine keeps going. I used to keep them on a bunch and a couple of times I’ve ridden off with them in too box lock. Separate clipped in belt loop now
Bought a leash for a trials bike yesterday. Slightly different as it's to kill the bike engine if you come a cropper.
Similar to a surf board leash that gives you freedom to fall off but not kill someone else with a stray board.
Strap it to your wrist or belt and your keys to the other end.
You can't lose them ever again. Except in the shower I suppose. 😅

tile tag or the apple one is worth getting. Lost my house keys riding home would usually ride back slowly trying to spot them but opened the app and it told me they were outside my work. Raced back and there they were. I also have a reward tag with my phone number on both sides cost £8 in brass on amazon

I've sewn a length of lanyard into my lesser used pocket.the sort that keys on rings can clip onto.i got mine when donating to poppy appeal.keys can't be dragged out of pocket by accident.

I saw the good suggestions others made in the comment, so I'll try to fit in by adding my own: Me, I keep my keys in a pocket where I feel them. There's a silly effect to that. You get so very used to feel an item that is always in some place in your clothes, you don't really feel it anymore. But you feel when it's not there! Over all the decades, I had to search my key exactly one time. A very stressfull extremely long day at work had me in such a fish-brain state at the end that I forgot the keys in my working clothes.

I always carry my spare bike key and spare lock key in a jacket pocket which i allocate specifically for them just in case i ever lost my main keys
I have heard of that local legend. Bikers who lost their keys got lost in the woods. Then they started to proliferate. When you are very silent sometime you can spot them. Not the keys, thou.
Maybe those lost keys are starting their own forest adventure. 🌳🏍️

How are you even still surviving your adventures - top tip, pick just one zipped pocked to always put your keys in - if not in your ignition then in the dedicated pocket straight away and no where else. Same with your money, cards wallet etc - pick a home for them and stick to it - I’m amazed how unorganised you are 🤣

I really find some of your content quite frustrating and ridiculous in the amount of trouble you find yourself in on all of your adventure, please don't be offended by my comments but I must say you are on dangerous ground with some of the situation you get yourself into, it seems to me you bounce from one disaster to another, or is that your intention ?, on quite a lot of your videos I find it difficult to understand what you are saying ,you sometimes ramble on at a high rate of notes and it's difficult to understand you, hope you don't mind my comments as I also must commend you for getting out there and giving it a go 😊
