- In July 2019, we completed our Valley of Flowers Trekking and Hemkund Sahib Yatra. This gem of nature's beauty is located in Chamoli district, about 4 km from Ghangharia village. We reached Haridwar by Train, and from there took a bus which took 10 hours to reach Govindghat. From there we started 10 km trek to Ghangharia. Next day, we started the trek to Valley of Flowers.

About Valley of Flowers -
Valley of Flowers National Park is an Indian national park, located in North Chamoli, in the state of Uttarakhand and is known for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and the variety of flora. This richly diverse area is also home to rare and endangered animals, including the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, musk deer, brown bear, red fox, and blue sheep.
Valley of flowers is house to over 500 different species of flowers. It is a UNESCO world heritage site. The place was little known to the outside world due to its inaccessibility. In 1931, Frank S. Smythe, Eric Shipton and R.L. Holdsworth, all British mountaineers, lost their way while returning from a successful expedition to Mt.Kamet and happened upon the valley, which was full of flowers. They were attracted to the beauty of the area and named it the "Valley of Flowers." Frank Smythe later authored a book of the same name.

Is it advisable to book hotels online or there are sufficient hotels in govind ghat and ghanghari and we can find hotels after reaching there
you're free to book at any time. if you book hotel prior, you must adhere to your schedule otherwise you're free from time bounds. We hope it helps🙂.

River bed tak jaatehai log kyuki wapas bhi ana hota hai shaam ko 5 baje se phle, upar stay karna allowed nahi hai. To aap usi ke according jaha tak jaa sakte ho jaao. Buses early morning, haridwar and rishikesh dono jagha se chalti hai.

What shall be the appropriate time day wise to explore the valley to the fullest ?
Are 4 days enough to cover everything ?
As per our experience, we would recommend you the best time to visit this place to be mid Of July to late August. Four days could be enough if you explore all the spots with hastiness(not considered Helicopter Services being availed) otherwise 5 to 6 days are enough to cover Valley of flower and Hemkund conveniently.

Tanya ji , vof in its fullest depends on all nature condition,, ie ,, winter snow fall,, and mansoon arrival,, but July August , is the best time ,, vif is home for some 530 wild flowering species,, but they all not grow at same time , at every week it changes ,, and you can see some 50-80 species ,,,,,, Pratap chauhan ,, a local guy

of course you can, but if you plan you trip in late July, you may get best glimpses of valley of flowers.
Please elaborate How to return back to haridwar from ghanghariya in one day to avail train ???.
I mean while going forward to ghanghariya u r using whole day to reach there from govindghat & then u r going for valley of flowers next whole day. But how can us assure me to come back to haridwar from ghanghariya only in one day to avail train at night ? Please tell us about the return journey elaborately , about timings of vehicles.
Buses from govindghat or joshimath runs early morning from 6 am to 8-9 am. After that only shared cabs are available. You can start your trek from ghangariya to govindghat early morning and then catch bus or shared cab. DO REMEMBER THAT BUS or cabs take around 12 hours to reach haridwar. So plan accordingly.

visiting VOf during the span of mid of july to mid of august is considered to be the perfect. Make sure before you visit this beautiful destination, you have checked weather conditions. Heavy rain fall could devastate your plan.

So We believe you will not face the issue of over crowding !! actually july last tk aate aate almost bheed hoti he nhi h, and sorry we don't have any detail regarding our stay there!! hope it helps🙂.....thanks for praising our content
For going to velly of flowers perhaps dolis are available. But u have not mentioned anything. We as sinior citizen can't pain to walk. I shall be glad if you inform me the correct position.

During returning why you came from ghangaria to joshimath? As during start you went from govindghat to ghangaria.. so can we go from ghangaria to Govind ghat and take bus from there ?
Ghangariya se to trek karke Govindghat aaye the fr wha se hum shared-taxi se joshimath pahuche the, govindghat se rishikesh aur haridwar ke liye buses milti hain pr early morning sirf. hum log Govindghat late pahuche the. Hope this helps 🙂

After reaching gobindghat, can we go direct to ghangaria on same day
whatever time you reach Govindghat just add at least 5 to 6 hours more to reach Ghangariya. I hope it helped.🙂

4k(per head) to 5k(per head) for the people who do not enjoy expensive facilities otherwise you may add up whatever amount. Its peak season lies in monsoon. but be sure to check weather forecast report before you visit this place. I hope this helps.

Around 5000rs per person is sufficient but another point is that up to some point, travel cost remains almost fix and beyond that it depends on individuals and other contingencies.
