the idahoan mashed potato cups actually have a "four cheese" flavor, which is my personal favorite, and would also allow it to score even higher than the regular buttery homestyle mashed potato cups on this scale because the cheesiness score would increase.

The idea of a single, universal time zone isn't about the ability to tell where the sun is in other people's skies, but about being able to clearly communicate a time. That wasn't important in the past since you couldn't really do such a wide variety of things across vast distances instantly before, but nowadays, that's far more important. It's not about whether it's day or night for other people, it's about being able to set a time and stick to it, without having to worry about stupid stuff like different DST dates, fractional time zones, and more of that nonsense.
Of course it's an extreme measure, and probably more trouble than it's worth, but timezones are waaaaaaaay more complex than most people realise. It's certainly not simple addition. At the very least it'd be incredibly helpful if everyone could use a time that's in some way derived from a global time, because that is _not_ the case right now. It might somewhat look like it if presented neatly in a timezone graph, but they obscure all the horrifying details of how timezones _actually_ work.
I like to use unix millisecond timestamps to mark times. ...But only in logs and filenames and so forth. I don't actually UNDERSTAND them really. I think absolute time system would still need some connection to the day/night cycle, because that's how most people track the overall passage of time, just perhaps offest by some local value you just memorize. Maybe we can ditch the 60/60/24 thing while we're at it and do something in nice factors of 10.

But 60isn't actually that bad. 24 has the factors 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24, and 60 has the factors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, and 60. That's a lot of factors. There's a reason base 60 is as old as history, and that's because it's easy to split up into smaller parts, so nearly any amount of time it makes sense to talk about can be a whole number. People do in fact seem to be able to make sense of the 60/60/24 system easier than metric time.
Unix timestamps, however, aren't easy to make sense of, and that's intentional. Or rather, they purposefully decided not to care about it. That's because Unix timestamps only need to be machine readable. They're only really intended for machines and programmers to lay eyes on, and the programmers usually don't need to understand them either, they only need to understand that they're an integer representation of time. Even the start date of the Unix epoch is fairly arbitrary. There's nothing particularly special about the year 1970. But it does make sure that the most useful range of dates for the foreseeable future is easiest for computers to store.
I don't expect to take my hard drive out of my computer and stare at it until it makes sense to me either. Hard-drives are purpose-built and that purpose isn't human legibility. Unix timestamps are the same way.
Honestly, I fully agree with this. The only barrier that would show up is that some people will work at what seems like "odd" hours due to where the sun is in the sky on their part of the world. But the time will be consistent. If someone says you need to go to the meeting at 22, then that's when you go and all clocks would be synced.
We could use Greenwich as the universal clock. Or if there is a better one that people like. Doesn't really matter in actuality.
Also, daylight savings is stupid. And the day is not a perfect 24 hours anyway.
Also, if we switch to 24 hour clocks, there is no confusion for am/pm anymore too. 22 might be morning for someone else and night for another or afternoon, but it's still the same time everywhere. Sun is just in a different position. Time doesn't exist anyway (as a force), but it's a good way to measure change, such as rotation and ageing.

This was outstanding, you should get a degree just for making this presentation. But, you would then lose your degree for not doing Mac and Cheese right. Get a 'quality' mac and cheese like Kraft, make it, and then dump flavors into it! Put Flamin' Hot Cheetos INTO the mac and cheese. Fry up some bacon and put it in the Mac and Cheese. ;) - The world's your oyster Therm! P.S. My best friend puts Habaneros in his Adult Mac and Cheese, so flaming hot is nothing. P.P.S. if you haven't tried it, find a great pizza place, and if they have it, try Mac and Cheese pizza (add Jalapenos)!
