Awesome video. Thanks for the info. I have 2 Zodias rods. 7ft and the 7’11” you featured. Love, love my 7ft for medium depth and square bills. I would like to try these others rods to compare these to. Too bad there isn’t a program to try before you buy with rods. I’d pay a subscription for that privilege. On another note, I really think it’s counter productive for people in the comment section to say the rods each individual use are the best out there without truly trying all the others out. Maybe there are a few anglers who have truly tried all the options but I believe they are few and far between unless they are a pro. I love my Zodias rods, but like this video shows, there are others possibly as good.
Appreciate the support! Zodias glass rods are incredible, we have a ton of guys at the shop using those this season! We love when u guys share your input, it's always good to get advice and opinions that might improve the sport!
What lb test are you throwing on the 806cb? I’ve tried 10lb fluoro but have issues with it breaking when I bomb a cast. I don’t have the same issues with the 805cb.
something to consider: the 805cb has a much softer tip than the 806cb which means the rod is going to load up much more and will inevitable put less stress on the knot or line when casting.. maybe try going up in line weight! We prefer to use something around the 20lb flouro marker!
love the 300 size for deep cranking and glidebaits! perfect amount of spool size for this heavier line options when throwing larger baits! For frog fishing the standard spool size will work great! around the 100-200 size reel!
Question for anyone: I’m thinking about getting a p5 Dark Sleeper, but am wondering if there’s a comparable rod at a cheaper price like an Expride. Thanks
@tylerharrison5189 These are NOT in NO Particular order.......Take a look at Dobyns Champion XP 7'6" Medium Heavy Crankbait Rod $270 or The G. Loomis IMX-PRO 906C CBR Casting Rod - Crankbait $390 In the Expride line... Shimano Expride B Casting Rod 7'6" Medium Heavy Glass | EXC76MHGB or Shimano Expride B Casting Rod 7'6" Medium Heavy | EXC76MHB
So I still fish from my 1996 Ranger. That means a 7' rod is the longest rod I can put in my box. Does nobody make a 7'6" medium fast action rod that's retractable, or whatever it's called, I have 3 heavy action flippin' sticks that take up no room in my rod locker?
Good info, new sub
appreciate the follow!
Great selection on all of these rods, and I hope you slay those Kentucky Lake LedgeHawgs by the way 🍀🎣🍀😎😜💯
LOVE these rod series videos!
many more to come!
Love those Falcons
Dobyns rods by far are the best on the market IMO 👊👊

How do you like the 300k for deep crank? What about glides and frogs?

You will be really happy with the dark sleeper but the Expride 7'2" Medium Heavy is a tough rod to beat for the cost savings.
How about a swimbait rod video? I 5-6" Magdraft and the Freestyle version..
coming very soon!

The Japs does make travel rods for that specs bud
unfortunately the industry standard now is one piece rods and they no longer make the telescopic rod options for most manufacturers!
The audio is only playing from the left channel.
we will look into this and correct on future videos! thanks for the feedback
I didn’t spend $300 on my deep crank Megabass rod I spent $600 lol Megabass Evoluzion White Python lolol

Cb804XP
