This video reminded me of a interesting fact about Kit Kats: while they are globally manufactured by Nestle, in the US they're manufactured by a subsidiary of the Hershey Company, due to a prior licencing agreement between them and the original manufacturer Rowntree's in the 1970's before the latter was acquired by Nestle. This means that the US is the only country that doesn't have the Nestle label on any of its Kit Kat packaging.
Rowntree ! that's what happened to the their flavor, it got "profitized" for mass marketing, global market , which means how SO many foods get trashed. Sorry for us all, yet TY for your research.

LOL how you know you’re watching a good MRE video/Steve1989 video…. “Alright let’s get this out on a tray…” love it started my days as a Marine in August of 1989!
Excellent video. First time that I’ve watched your channel (and now subscribed 👍). I noticed it was about IMPs and had to see what improvements were made since my days with the Canadian Infantry from ‘79 to ‘87. When I first enlisted in 1979 we were issued the canned IRPs. 🤮 I seem to recall a horrid concoction called Vienna Sausage, I believe. Thankfully the “boil in foil” IMPs came out about a year later and we loved them (my faves were chilli and turkey stew). During training exercises with American units at Camp Grayling later that year they begged us to swap with them because they were still getting canned rations (I think MREs then came out a year or so later). Looking forward to watching more of your videos. ✌️

Best review possible, of a succulent Canadian MRE. I had my share of Canadian MREs, which I very much didn't enjoy in 1985-86. Peach juice was the typical "brought in" beverage of choice, not a favorite, bad mistake in those years. Now, tasty and full cunsumption is the goal. This MRE is a step above. I love it.... with Ketchup!!!! Thanks Stevo. #Blessed

Each time it's been a minute and a new Steve1989 vid comes out, it's like when you've not done laundry in a while and been wearing your whatever clothes and then you wash a load and put on your favorite comfy shirt. Quite impressed with the quality of the Canadian rations.
This man is a national treasure, protect him at all costs! Whenever steve uploads it makes my day so much better. Thank you Steve.
Steve is back at it. Thanks for the upload!
LOL how you know you’re watching a good MRE video/Steve1989 video…. “Alright let’s get this out on a tray…” love it started my days as a Marine in August of 1989!
March of 1989 Kilo Co. Plt. 3023 MCRD San Diego Semper Fi!
It is always a good day when lord Steve uploads a video or even better when it is 2 videos.
Nice!
Nice!
Im vacationing in tahiti and ate french paté. Was thinking of steve. Said lets get this out onto a tray. Accidentally summonrd steve videos. Nice.
Let me know when you see Dutch.
nice!
I swear Steve always uploads at the perfect time. Been a long week, got tomorrow off for Canada day, just sat down to eat supper and see there are two fresh videos~ Nice~
Nice
I like the resealable outer packaging. Looks like it would make for a nice make-shift pillow in case you need to catch some Zs.
Nice
Dude Steve out of all the hundreds of MRE's you have reviewed this by far has to be a top 5 fav of mine.
The quality of packaging with the canadian mre is spectacular
Let's goooo. Another banger!!! Thank you Steve, love your content!
Steve always comes in when is needed the most ❤
A kit kat in an mre is living luxury, there should be a military kit kat advertisement that would be bad assery at its finest
The Brit rations at one time included a Yorkie chocolate bar marked “it’s not for civvies”
Steve has some of the best unaffiliated content, full of good info!
Welcome back! Always fun to see a new ration review or two from you! FYI, just saw MRE Mountain is selling French Guiana Armed Forces MREs! Never seen those before.
🇨🇦 Canada Day tomorrow ... 🎉🧨
Steve1989MRE showing up early .
Nice !
nice!
There’s nothing like cracking open a new Steve video before bed
Nice.
Happy Canada Day from Canada!
Same to you 🍁

Best review possible, of a succulent Canadian MRE. I had my share of Canadian MREs, which I very much didn't enjoy in 1985-86. Peach juice was the typical "brought in" beverage of choice, not a favorite, bad mistake in those years. Now, tasty and full cunsumption is the goal. This MRE is a step above. I love it.... with Ketchup!!!! Thanks Stevo. #Blessed
If there's one thing that makes a day in this crazy world instantly better, it's Steve's reviews. Nice!
Steve looks like he just woke up from a nap. Nice to see you again Steve. I find myself wondering if he ok when he is gone so long. You got moms out here who worry about you Steve.
Hey thanks so much r.d! Gettin this hair cut soon, it was fun letting it go. Wishing you and yours all the best. alright cool, see ya
At least you can trust he's getting enough to eat.
Steve is the only guy I know that makes military Gatorade sound so sexy, LOL. Another winner found.

Thank you for continuing to be my lunchmate, Steve. Your enthusiasm with food makes anything become 10x more palatable. 😊
Been having a really rough go of things. Seeing this on my feed made me very pleased. Thanks, Steve.
Mom Steve is back 🗣🗣🗣
Nice
Steve my mom says you're my dad is it true
Love your videos 😊
Hey right on Javier thank you
Babe, wake up, new SteveMRE.
I almost cried when this popped up. Had a stressful month. I am also just watching this at the end of a stressful day
From one Steve to another, thank you for the great content over the years! You rock!
I’m glad to see we give our troops great meals. We may not have ammunition or weapons that work, but at least we take care of our people.
Great meals? It’s edible and has calories. No way it tastes good.
As someone born in Canada, that country could barely take care of a sick fly. Yall got doctors now who are straight up telling soldiers with depression to "just kill themselves" because it's a lot easier than providing them care.
@jason
bruh, nobody doubts Steve
