Then it slowly creeps in the Micro Transactions, after a week or 2 when you're really hooked, they start offering equipment sets that are Nightmare to grind or Crystals for their fucking Loot Box heroes. It's all a fucking SCAM, Pay to win, Money sink and I advise NOBODY to play this. People advertising it should know some SHAME for selling out their audience to these predatory wolves.
Super Mario World: Top Tip: On the very first Ghost House you reach, use a cape to fly to the very left of the screen until you get on the roof (like 1-2 in the original mario bros) and then run to the right. You will get 4 one ups plus access to the secret level that gives you all your items instantly!
Dude when i was like 15 I was at my cousins game and there was this 7 year old playing it on his gameboy and i saw him go into a level that showed him do that 👀 I was legit freaking out. I was like how the hell did you do that is that in the original 😂😂😂 that level would have made getting blue yoshi and cape soooooooo much easier when I 5 😭😭😭
Super Mario World Expert Tips: Movement Control Holding B or A will make you fall ever so slightly slower. Not as much as Cape Mario, but it's there. When swimming, instead of mashing B, hold up and press B a couple times to zoom upwards. Hold down and press B repeatedly to just barely bob up and down, allowing you to slip through gaps between enemies while moving forward. I found this out of curiosity by accident. Mario World's movement mechanics are still the most advanced in any 2D Mario game to date.
You can also reach Donut Secret 1 without the Green Switch Palace, you can just fly up there with the cape. A tip when flying with the cape is that you can take a hit while flying (NOT while rising) and not lose your cape.
Super Mario World, Zelda, Yoshis Island are my top picks. I hope they had Donkey Kong Country 2 in the future. That way, I’ll never have to bust out my SNES again 😂
Once they put out Chrono Trigger, I'll consider the online service an uncompromised success. That game is so close to perfect it's unreal that it's almost 25 years old.
It would really be amazing if they put super castlevania 4 in with those. I understand it's in a collection so it won't happen. But it's a nice thought

A bit of a generic wishlist for stuff I'd possibly like to see in the future -Kirby super star -Mario RPG -Earthbound (duh) -Fire emblem (one of the snes ones could get localised if they're feeling ambitious) -Star fox 2 -Super street fighter 2
Kirby Super Star is great fun, but I'm content with Dream Land 3. Mario RPG is also a really good time. Earthbound is a game I could not get into. So many small things about it annoyed me compared to other RPGs that came out on the SNES even YEARS before. And the quirky humor, while charming, didn't save it for me. If it came to the service, maybe I'd be compelled to try it again, but I currently have no desire to go back to it. Any Fire Emblem games from this era would be appreciated since they were never even localized before. Star Fox 2 deserves as many rereleases as it can get now that it is actually a full game. Games that I would love to see included in the service: Chrono Trigger Gradius III Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, and 3 Final Fantasy IV and VI Castlevania Dracula X Harvest Moon Pocky & Rocky Mega Man X, X2, and X3
@@jacobmonks3722 I know this might seem quite late for a comment, but I feel as though porting Mega Man X1, X2 and X3 to SNES Online would kinda make the X Legacy Collection rather redundant. It would do a disservice to Capcom which made the effort to bundle the series into a collection, as well as doing a disservice to fans who have already bought the collection only to see it end up being a free bonus title for a service. Otherwise, I say yes, yes! and YES! to Gradius III. The series definitely deserves more love, especially since the Switch is suddenly receiving increasing support for underrated JRPGs. The online service really needs to double down on its JRPG lineup. Breath of Fire is good, but many people who are being introduced to FF through the ports of titles like VII and IX should experience other masterpieces like IV and VI. Personally, my favourite is III. I'm genuinely surprised that Dracula X wasn't included in the Anniversary Collection since Rondo of Blood was already featured in Requiem. That would be a very neat addition. A Chrono Trigger port would be as heavenly as the Kingdom of Zeal, but I rather Square Enix give that game the Trials of Mana remake treatment and rework the game from the ground up for the new generation. DKC is a shoe-in at this point since most of the other major Nintendo titles on the SNES are already in the service.
When I was little I played it on the GBA and I loved it. Looking back, the game has pretty poor pacing and the fact you have to get all the collectables in 1 go is kinda frustrating. I prefer the SNES version now because the higher quality audio and the fact you can distinguish the red coins from the regular ones.
@@BassBoostingBrony definitely alot better super mario world almost all the Yoshis island levels are still challenging and the collectibles mean something. Smw has just become to easy for me to play for it to be fun like it used to we all just get the Cape now and fly over almost everything
Super Metroid is hands down, my favourite game of all time. I bought it for SNES when it first came out and have replayed it so many times since. Never gets old.
I love Super Metroid but what almost ruins it for me on SNES online is the analog sticks. If you use 1 joycon, you don't have a choice but to move Samus with the analog stick, and it just feels wrong. I've played Super Metroid a dozen times, I can't play it with an analog stick at the same proficiency. And if you choose to use both joycons, sure you can use the directional buttons for movement, but now there's the problem that the RIGHT analog stick gets in the way of comfortably pressing the face buttons. I'm used to having my thumb hovering over 3 buttons at once. With a joycon, that's hardly doable. The SNES style Switch controller would fix this issue in its entirety though, so it's more of an inconvenience than a straight up problem. But it still hinders the experience quite a bit for me.
Don’t let the graphics turn you off of pilot wings. It might be frustrating at first, but once you get the controls down, it’s hella challenging and fun to play through, to unlock all the different flight types, including the combat heli. Was one of my favorite snes games back in the day.
Man how cool would that be to be able to play N64 games like Majora's Mask and Oot using the original source code and not the 3DS versions. Imagine it having rewind features making speedrunning these games way more easier since you can just keep retrying and retrying over and over. Or how about Mario Kart 64 or the original Smash online with friends? Nintendo sitting on a gold mine here and I can't wait until they decide to dig into it.
They should add N64 or DS and if Mario 64 gets added, it would be cool to switch from the N64 version to the DS version at any time. They could also add Game Boy and GBA games

I remember playing Yoshi's Island and enjoying it. I recommend it to anyone who likes platformers. Also Breath of Fire is okay, if you like JRPGs you can give it a try. I don't know if I want a specific SNES game to be released on the switch online, most of the good ones already getting released in the switch eshop, like Mana series or Flashback. Chrono Trigger would be good, but it's a Square game so I think it would be released on the store if it's released on Switch at all, like Final Fantasy series. Edit: I've looked top 100 SNES games, and from the whole list I can suggest Nintendo two games that could be played multiplayer as well: Sunset Riders and Super Bomberman. I've played both of these games with my siblings and especially Super Bomberman's multiplayer was super fun. I don't know about the licensing issues though, I think both license under Konami and I don't know if they're okay with Switch Online or not. There are many other games on the list but they're either licensed games like Aladdin or Lion King, or games that already released or planned to be released on the eshop, like Contra or Street Fighter.
It's really refreshing to hear someone talk about these games like games, and not some holy ancient relics. I love these games to death but I'm so tired of the hyperbole of some UA-camrs
I like the fact that you openly admit you are the Mario-Guy and so cannot be trusted to review it faithfully Sincerely - Another Mario-Guy PS: your level on Mario Maker 2 is great! Followed you in hope of getting more awesome levels
Pilotwings was the first game I got on the SNES. It blew my mind at the time, and started my flight sim craze. Okay, so it may not be perfect, but it was a good game.
Demon’s Crest was one of my favorite SNES games along with Goof Troop. I thought I would never get them for the SNES Online, but I’m glad they gave us at least Demon’s Crest for now. I hope to see DKC Trilogy as well
Fun fact. The Demon's Crest game is a spin off of the Ghost and Goblins series. You are actually playing as the winged demon you keep encountering throughout those games.
@@goodalmondman3732, Nintendo owns the rights to all the Donkey Kong Country games, they even released it on the SNES classic mini. Along with all 3 parts on virtual console etc.

I’ve been following wood hawker and RGT and they’re great, but your review cracked me up with its honesty and bleeping using Nintendo sound effects. Most of these games definitely show their age, but also show what kind of innovation they've added to the gaming world. I feel that Super Metroid, Kirby's Dream Course and a Link to the Past are the only ones of the set that really hold up (some design aspects are slightly dated, but nothing a couple of small quality of life improvements couldn't fix.) Oh, also Puyo Puyo is actually incredible, but we really should have gotten the translated version, Kirby's Avalanche. Most of the others have some value, but cannot compete with the games that have come out since their release. Yoshi's Island was super cool at the time... but the collectibles that defined it are now commonplace. Super Mario World is also considerably worse than Super Mario Bros. 3, and none of the 2D Mario games are as good as any of the 2D Megaman games (I may need to re-evaluate Megaman X5, X6, the Game Boy and Game Gear Megamans, but the statement may still hold true.)
@@Spicy_Riker It was but the frame rate was an issue even back then. Some of the later courses chug! The fact I just didn't have access to that many games meant I played the hell out it anyway.
I remember back in the 90s I had an Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine that had a full article on Demon's Crest. It was the very first article on a video game I read and i did so so many times from beginning to end. I wanted so bad to play this game but none of the stores that sold SNES cartridges had this. I'm definitely gonna play this once i get the 1 yr subscription for Nintendo Online. My favorite game of all time is on there, Super Metroid. I still have my SNES Original from 1991 just no RCA jacks on my 2 TVs to play it
I love Breath of Fire it's actually really good. If you're an old school rpg fan I'd highly recommend it. The second one is even better imo and since the first one was a snes online release game I would say it will be added eventually as well.
Breath of Fire on its own was enough to convince me to buy a Switch. I already have the GBA port of Breath of Fire 2, so I'm not in a rush to play it on Switch, but Nintendo was smart to include it because it's awesome. I hope they start adding games from the Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior series. Dragon Warrior Monster is my favorite Game Boy Color game.
I randomly came across Demon’s Crest on the Wii U EShop, looking for a game to play around Halloween. Holy shit, guys. That game is fucking amazing. I was so happy to see it on the Switch. Everyone PLEASE play it. You won’t be disappointed.

Demon Crest is the 3rd game in the Gargoyle Quest Series. In Gargoyle Quest you walk around the map like Final Fantasy. They are all really good games.
Demon's Crest is related to the ghost's n goblins series, I'm glad to have it. I picked a perfect time to buy a switch - extra battery life, GuliKit Bluetooth adapter is amazing with aptx sennheisers and the split pad pro ships tomorrow 😎

Pilotwings has one of the weirdest endings of any game I've played. It's definitely worth a play through.
Is that the one where you end up stopping thieves or some spy ring?
Steven Mahl I loved the soundtrack on that game😇
I like the fact that you openly admit you are the Mario-Guy and so cannot be trusted to review it faithfully
Sincerely
- Another Mario-Guy
PS: your level on Mario Maker 2 is great! Followed you in hope of getting more awesome levels
A Mario guy who hadn’t played Super Mario World until recently 😂
SEGA!
Sorry, just saw 89 ads in a row for the Genesis Mini.
I just saw one, so disappointed they didn't say Sega does what Nintendon't
T Bone I’ve seen 2 in this video lol
yo same lol
GeNiSiS dOeS! gEniSis DoEs! GEneSiS DoeS! GEneSIS doESa
Same lol
The Pilotwings disrespect will not be forgotten
Pilotwings was the first game I got on the SNES. It blew my mind at the time, and started my flight sim craze. Okay, so it may not be perfect, but it was a good game.
Aside from the sports games, I’d play about all of the snes games so far.
Demon’s Crest was one of my favorite SNES games along with Goof Troop. I thought I would never get them for the SNES Online, but I’m glad they gave us at least Demon’s Crest for now. I hope to see DKC Trilogy as well
And Earthbound
I now really need to rebuy my switch,
Kind of glad I did cause I wanted a better battery cause I work.
Used to play MAC & JOE and SUPERMARIOWORLD when i was young (34 now). These games are so good
🤔 Watching a SNES Video while there’s like 100 Ads of Sega Mini
😂😂😂
SEEEGAAAAAAAA
I just muttered some about "garbage company grumble grumble"
Been busy playing Super Mario World 😃 all this week ever since it dropped on my Nintendo Switch
Hey Martell!
@@Octo4533 what up daigo
@@MartellThaCool Just playing SNES online! Zelda Link To The Past is really good!
@@Octo4533 same here with Super Mario World. You're on Twitter?
@@MartellThaCool Sorry, but nah. If you wanna play some Kirby, my FC is 7959-6678-9555.
19:04 Super Tetris! Nice!
wait, where's the T blocks
Fun fact. The Demon's Crest game is a spin off of the Ghost and Goblins series. You are actually playing as the winged demon you keep encountering throughout those games.
I want BattleToads, that game was amazing
This video was very enjoyable. Compared to others of the same subject. Keep up the great work
Bruuuh, super tennis is the shit.
Bit of a learning curve and feels clunky in the beinning but i had loooots of fun with it back in the days.
Best Tennis game ever made.
Super Soccer's really fun, too. Me and a friend had a blast playing that last week.
Skeptical Caveman rip Wii sports tennis
@@COOLMCDEN Wii sports tennis is not that good. Table tennis on the other hand is amazing. Golf and bowling are also great
@@SkepticalCaveman I got up go the champion for table tennis but I haven't beaten her yet. The sword games in Wii sports resort is also great.
Hey I grew up playing Pilotwings on SNES. It was iconic.
Is donkey Kong country gonna be on there, it’s my favorite snes game and if it’s not Ima cry
4 bars music it’s a rare title so I don’t know but they did put banjo in smash and he is rare so Maybe
I'd imagine it has a strong possibility
@@goodalmondman3732, Nintendo owns the rights to all the Donkey Kong Country games, they even released it on the SNES classic mini. Along with all 3 parts on virtual console etc.
Prepare to get more tissues. For now, at least,
I’m still waiting
Super soccer is actually an amazing two player game. Y’all should try it one day.
A LttP is the best game of all time
A link to the past is pretty much one of the top five on SNES.
I would highly recommend Demon's Crest. It's a really short Metroidvania style game.
I've actually been loving Super Mario kart! You're absolutely right, Bob it plays super strangely but for some reason it's scratching an itch.
I never click the raid Shadow legends stuff but I definitely will for the effort you put into the ad
Kirby's Dream course is one of of my favorite games of all time
7:45 I turned myself into a hamster Kirby! I’M HAMSTER RICK!
WULFF DEN you are hilarious. I love the New York bravado to these reviews. I’ve been following wood hawker and RGT and they’re great, but your review cracked me up with its honesty and bleeping using Nintendo sound effects. This was a super insightful video as I’m starting to play through these. Thanks again
Earthbound, but I realize now you don’t like turn based rpgs
Harvest Moon and Mario RPG being added would make me very happy.
I wish the hardest SNES game was on it... Lion King
There remaking it so you will get your chance
you clearly never played Super Empire Strikes Back on SNES
Doran Bollman correct
@@doranbollman5268 god super star wars was such a pain in the ass, ugh nightmares
@@kmilli0313 Star Wars trilogy on SNES is for champions only
I love how Zelda games leaves you to just 'figure things out', it makes it more rewarding.
Just want gamecube man. Or a ratchet and clank trilogy remaster like the spyro and crash onez
That would be an issue for people with low storage. (Like me.)
The game i want on SNES online is kirby super star
18:55 really tripped me up because I was watching on my Switch
"I've never played Super Metroid"
...Okay, got it. *stops watching*
Stunt Racer has a special place in my heart.
"Just been released"
Bruh I've been getting ads for Raid shadow legends since may, and I'm still not installing.
Super Mario World is the best 2D Mario game. Nothing will ever beat it
The only game I know that beats Super Mario World is the GBA version.
Hipster reviews games he hasn’t played.
Wow, great. :/
Lol

I wanted Demon's Crest so bad when I was a kid. Now Nintendo just hands it over. Love it. Hope they add Breath of Fire 2 eventually
17:13
I don't agree, this game is total sh*t. I would be very disapoited if I bought it back in the days...
I bought it back in the day...
And loved it! Now not so much.
@@TheHabitual77 I guess the FX Chip was impressive back in the 90's
@@Spicy_Riker It was but the frame rate was an issue even back then. Some of the later courses chug! The fact I just didn't have access to that many games meant I played the hell out it anyway.
I want a goofy game. I was born in 2000, but I loved playing it as a small child.
This is a really solid lineup, really hoping for the Donkey Kong games, and maybe secret of evermore (with added multiplayer functionality?).
Also super tennis is like surprisingly actually really fun tbh
I still have and play the Wii U virtual console games That's my favorite way to play. Can save anytime and the emulation is PERFECT.
Subscribed. Because I need to be told stuff in a funny entertaining way, I just bought a switch, and I'm a Mario/nes guy. Keep up the good work!
Super mario world is my favorite mario growing up. I’ve spent so much time on this game!
Anyone else hopeful that since Nintendo and Microsoft are playing nice and we got Banjo on switch that maybe we can get DKC on this?
Top 5 snes games I’d love to see are
1: Chrono Trigger
2: Super Mario All Stars
3: U.N Squadron
4: Donkey Kong Country
5: TMNT Turtles In Time (Have My Fingers Crossed)
Reydel Sandoval chrono trigger for switch would be fucking amazing
Tmnt turtles in time is GREAT I might even pick up 1up mini arcade cabinet when they release it
I'd love to see Earth Worm Jim. Loved that game as a kid. I'd really love if nintendo released a N64 player on switch.
A Link to the Past is honestly a masterpiece and to this day my favorite Zelda.
I like Links Awakening more.
I’ve never played link to the past but I would count my self as a Zelda fan because I know a lot about the Series and watch a a lot of videos about it and listen but I still love your channel
I'd love to see secret of evermore... And super Bomberman for sweet old school multiplayer!
Just found this, I was responding to your comments on Link and Zelda with the lack of direction. lol Very funny love the content . Thumbs up!
As soon as they release Donkey Kong Country, Im picking up SNES controllers and play it with my brother. Oh, those are some real childhood memories.
Yes dude thank you for making this video on my day off perfect timing I was actually waiting for this one
Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island and LoZ: ALttP were absolute masterpieces, and STILL fun today! ^^
I'm super happy they added Demons Quest to this collection, that game fascinated me as a child but I never got around to beating it back then. I had long forgotten about it till this collection came out actually so super happy to have some of my childhood memories coming back here.
Yes A Link to the Past is one of the greatest Zelda Games and I’ve played them.
Great video, man. Thanks for the shout: I hadn’t heard SNES games had made it to Switch.
I didn’t even realize this was an option and when I saw link to the past I cried! It’s everything I ever loved and more in my childhood
