tommy has Always been my fav, he was like my first boy crush, im 16 years old and i follow these guys since i was 7, seeing them without jani and marco hurt me, i don't mind elias, but give us marco back, (and tommy's hair too ahah, he's still sexy)

I think that that stage was a bit big for'em... Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this band! I saw them in my town and was awesome, but was in a smaller (veeeery smaller) stage, and I saw them more comforable than this... I don't know, they almost move. Elias is always in his place, Henrik and Marko moved in some way, but... Well, the only one who dynamized a bit that show was Tony. In addition, the sound was frickin' awful! The drums sounded so bad, the guitar was very low, and that distortion... I really like Elias, but Jani... Man, how I miss him. I wish they could play both XD. Tony's micro was just ._. What kind of shit was that?? And we gotta say, Tony wasn't in his best moment. I repeat that this isn't the right stage for them, they look very unconfortable. Otherwise, For the Sake of Revenge was awesome, and the stage was also huge. I don't know. This Wacken wasn't the best concert of Sonata, and I really wish the FTSOR days come back because it would be a shame!
Luckily, the whole thing improves with Replica/Fullmoon. But what's with Tony's voice? Maybe these 14 years have affected him? XD
Anyway, Sonata forevah!
The best analysis, in my opinion...this is certainly not their (mostly Tony's) best concert...the sound is really bad and the voice sounds without power...
Let's hope their old power and feeling come back!!
Idk man, my theory is that Wacken makes everyone sound like shit. Never seen/heard an actually good wacken concert from my favourite bands on youtube

Samuel Kurttio I dunno, man - Type O Negative 2007, Celtic Frost 2006, Triptykon 2011, Amon Amarth 2012 - some really good Wacken sets, just to name a few. Unfortunately I don't think any of Sonata Arctica's Wacken appearances have ever sounded nice, in fact it pains me to say they've mostly sounded bad.

PrinceMarcus William First of all Jani wrote one song, and wrote two songs with Tony, that makes three songs. Second, yes i'm sure i know that without google. And finally, Jani brought his own spirit to the band, a band can change when one member leaves, even if that member didn't make so many songs.

I'm pretty sure they used HD cameras this year at Wacken (at least at the main stages, not so sure about the Party stage), yet this performance was only broadcasted via webcast, so this is as good as it gets unless the band will release the footage a DVD or sth. Pro Shot means it was captured professionally and not by a drunken headbanger in the crowd, which is at least something I guess.

They became famous playing Power Metal... and Tony says they wanted to play more rockish and proggy from the beginning? They why didn't they?!! Why acquire a massive following and then shift genre? Unia was a sign to STOP! Reckoning Night on the other hand, incredible. They CAN do prog.. but, include the POWER
I think he does. I read something about it, but I don't really remember where. He said that he used to scream a lot and that he hurt a bit of his voice. If I remember correctly, Tony said that he was (and still is) a big fan of Timo Kotipelto from Stratovarius and he wanted to do something similar to his voice. That's what they did on Ecliptica and others, but now he has some troubles with former songs such as Fullmoon... I'll let you know if I find this again and I sincerly hope I'm wrong :/
i support what you are saying about the shitty setlist, they have much better songs than the last album three album songs, and still donde play them, i already lost my faith in them, but what you say about nobody wants to hear shitload of money sadly its not true, apparently the new fans of sanata prefers the new songs, so, dont expect to hear the fast songs again

I've seen them play so much better. And it does not help the new songs are boring as shit either. Lost my interest quickly after Reckoning Night which was still a great album.

Ganz ehrlich. Das Konzert war der Hammer. Die Band war mein persönlicher Favorit 2013 auf WoA. Aber bei der Quali hättest du dir den Upload auch schenken können. Das macht echt NULL Spaß zuzuschauen. Wo ist das Problem, Das Video zumindest in 720p zu rendern?
Und welchen Sinn soll das Upscaling bei einer Quelle mit derart niedriger Auflösung haben? Statt Bildmatsch in 480p hat man dann Bildmatsch in 720p, ganz toll. Ich hätte auch lieber einen Mitschnitt in besserer Qualität, aber man muss eben nehmen was vorhanden ist - oder alternativ, no offense, halt mal wegklicken.
Wie gesagt. Dann besser garnicht uppen. Ich finde so macht das Video einfach keinen Spaß und zerstört die Atmosphäre.

metvelle "Pro shot" might stand for "promotional purposes" or it might stand for "professional recording". But it doesn't stand for "high resolution". In fact it means that it is shot by an official camera team, but not for official bandrelease purposes. That's what we've got here.

I watched 2 sonata arctica's concert in the same year and Marko was really boring live (indeed he is a great bassist), but he was bored with this all imo.

Love this band, but their set is becoming stale especially the new songs they selected to play. And I enjoyed their last album but grew tired of it quickly. Miss the more techy stuff.
Yeah, some friends told me I looked like Marko, and I was really happy because SA is my favourite band, but now he's gone and I don't look like any member of SA hahahaha Oh, I'm broken.
Marko looks bored as f@ck... I´m gonna miss him but clearly he wasn't enjoying being on the band anymore. I hope he's happier now.
What Jani needs is to get drunk with his good friend "Jack Daniels" crying for not being in Sonata, is what he is doing for this last 4 years
