P0174 P0171 P0496 P0442 FIXED FAST & EASY CADILLAC CTS COUPE! VACUUM LEAK FOUND!
P0174 - System too lean bank 2
P0171 - System too lean bank 1
P0496 - Evaporative Emission control: EVAP FLOE DURING A NON PURGE CONDITION.
P0442 - Evaporative Emission control system leak detected (small leak)
All of these codes were triggered due to a vacuum leak in the car system.
Check these 2 main components I show in these video and should help clear your codes!

Should the vacuum hose from the from leading to the back terminal connection suppose to more at the terminal .. it’s swivels? It’s loose… I expect it’s not supposed to more.. 2014 CTS coupe .. halla

So I JUST noticed the 2nd hose u mentioned which is why I found your video. Haven’t checked the purge canister valve but I did notice that the line next to it on my car is missing completely. It looks like a spark plug goes to that center hole. Is that what that is?

I had mine replace by dealer before seeing this video. Everything is fine but its still not passing smog test. He said I'll need 15 cold cranks letting it run 15mins before it can reset. Is this true? I'm @ 13 now. He's nice enough not to charge because I've paid before.

orale" i get excited just the same when i fix anything that i think is a major problem, and ends up being something simple like this. The boot that you said was cracked, does that boot connect the long vacuum line from the air filter duct to a short wider line coming out of the engine? or is it supposed to be all one piece? So basically right where yours was cracked, is that vacuum line supposed to be all one line? I noticed mines had a lot of play in it so took the longer part of the vacuum line out then i took the boot off and there is a really short bigger in diameter line coming out the engine. What is that boot and vacuum line called? thanks for posting the video.

Yeah that line is one whole piece it was like $25-$30 at the dealer I don’t remember

I ended up not needing that tube ( it's called PCV Fresh Air Tube) I just needed the purge valve canister. It came out to $55.00 something after taxes. Thanks for posting. About the PCV Fresh Air Tube, it is not the PCV Valve tube that goes to the PCV. They are on opposite sides of the engine and perform two different functions. Just incase anybody on here gets confused.

Yes it's most likely a broken plastic vacuum hose or connector.
