So I JUST noticed the 2nd hose u mentioned which is why I found your video. Haven’t checked the purge canister valve but I did notice that the line next to it on my car is missing completely. It looks like a spark plug goes to that center hole. Is that what that is?
Should the vacuum hose from the from leading to the back terminal connection suppose to more at the terminal .. it’s swivels? It’s loose… I expect it’s not supposed to more.. 2014 CTS coupe .. halla
I had mine replace by dealer before seeing this video. Everything is fine but its still not passing smog test. He said I'll need 15 cold cranks letting it run 15mins before it can reset. Is this true? I'm @ 13 now. He's nice enough not to charge because I've paid before.

The boot that you said was cracked, does that boot connect the long vacuum line from the air filter duct to a short wider line coming out of the engine? or is it supposed to be all one piece? I ended up not needing that tube ( it's called PCV Fresh Air Tube) I just needed the purge valve canister. It came out to $55.00 something after taxes. Thanks for posting. About the PCV Fresh Air Tube, it is not the PCV Valve tube that goes to the PCV. They are on opposite sides of the engine and perform two different functions. Just incase anybody on here gets confused.

I found the left side hose disconnected at the valve while changing spark plugs. I had no symptoms and no check engine light.

Yeah that line is one whole piece it was like $25-$30 at the dealer I don’t remember

Yes it's most likely a broken plastic vacuum hose or connector.
