I'm noticing when adding clips they don't have to be on the same time line, seems to make things after and easier to edit.

I have followed along, but don't see the "smart reframe" under my inspector tool after I change my video to vertical in the cut tab. Do you know why? Help. I'm stuck. Lol. Is that only available on Davinci Studio, and not the free version?
Looks like it's only in the Studio Version. I checked the free version and I didn't see it either.
I don't have "s mart reframe", is it for pro version? And yes mine is updated to last version.
Yeah, Its a studio only think I think.
What If i need to change the frame position for multiple clips?
I tried using in and out points but reframing just seems to effect the whole timeline.
Is there a way i can just make the whole timeline 1920×1080p and adjust it for each clip?
Sure, just create a new timeline and in the format section, make the timeline the size that you’d like.

Just switched from Mac to pc. Is their anything as quick and efficient as airdrop to upload video from my phone for pc? Dropbox is too many steps and slow, snapdrop was really glitchy I just need something fast 😢
I don’t know. I use a Mac. Macs are better, especially with iPhones. 😜 I think the process on a PC is more involved but I don’t know how to do it off the top of my head.
The two vertical settings I use the most is 608x1080 and 1216x2160 ...the reason being taking cuts out of 1080p/4k footage this retains original pixel detail without resizing. Retime and Scaling> Scaling > Fill stretches the smallest dimension to the edge of the view while retaining proportions... try it if you haven't yet.

Is Smart Reframe a paid pro feature? I'm not seeing it under Transform on the Cut tab (v 18).
I think it’s in the free version. Go to the edit tab and look in the inspector.
I have the same issue, I think it might be a pro setting, as I have followed exactly what Jason did and don't find it either.

Hello Jason, I shot my original video in vertical 4K format. Then imported it into DR. For some reason it thinks that its only HD. When I render and export, it introduces black bars on all 4 sides. Did I have the wrong project setting?
Hi! You might have the wrong project setting. I'd check the timeline settings and make sure you have the correct resolution in a vertical format.
For rendering? It works OK when I render out 4K vertical.
When I try to lower audio it does it super fast. Is there a way to make it so that. When I move my mouse down it lowers the volume slowly instead of very fast even if I move my mouse so it basically mutes it 🤣 and no my DPI is not that high.
Yes, hold the shift key while you hover your mouse over the gain line on the audio clip and try to raise and lower it. Then it will move slower.

You made one on how to make shorts/tiktok resolutions easy to navigate and even set up as a preset 😍 just GOLDEN!

@JasonYadlovski thanks, good to know. Also, that was not exactly what I was trying to figure out. It looked like you used a hot-key or trick to adjust the speed of the clip, and that was what I was trying to learn.
Got ya, you can change the clip speed by using CTRL + R on a PC or CMD + R on a Mac. Is that the one you were looking for?

No option for Smart Reframe
Its only in Studio.
I don't see that vertical video check box.
It’s in the deliver tab right below the resolution options. In custom settings.
i will never use motion array i got id claim on a music, i did dispute it but it was rejected. 😢
I’ve gotten claims as well, but if you submit the claim with both the statement MA states to use as well as the license, when you dispute it, it should be cleared. Mine always have been cleared.
