I think your idea that drifters threw the radio brackets in the trash is likely. I had to source a used set for my S13. It was a prior drift car. Those brackets screw into almost every aftermarket head unit, and it makes it much easier than the plastic dash kits.

I think the radio brackets used to be unpainted and get rusty just from the humidity.
Also the screws that hold the radio to the bracket are practically welded on there so sometimes you have to do questionable things to remove them.
I'm glad you asked, so I need a heater core for an 89' 240, I think the later models came with removal metal necks. Also the center vent on my dash is impossible to find, do they make replacement dashboards? These older 240s also have issues with the electric drivers window module. I resoldered mine and it's good now but it would be nice to have a replacement option.

@josechavarria121 they have it but it doesn't come with a flow valve like the oem one does, im retaining my ac and don't want it to move hot air in the summer
some new chuki turn signals would be awesome because I only have one right now lol, and it didn't come with the pigtail to get the running light to work. I can't seem to find them on your site though, are they discontinued?

I miss my 89 S13. It wasn't much to look at, but it was hard to pass those prices they were going for... Now they're worth even more 😢

I still have 2 sets of the radio brackets but yes you need them to use the storage that's under the stereo. I NEED them lug nuts!! and the valet key, it wont open the trunk and glove box.
I honestly think that I was given a valet key as my main key tbh
Need a special on windshield molding. My recently “restored” 240 just cracked the brand new windshield and molding and while you can pull those out and put new glass in they will be…eh

Radio brackets? Did people toss the originals in the trash or something? Maybe I'm a packrat, but I don't throw anything I pull off my car away... I hang on to them Just In Case... even with a newer car. Funny you mentioned taking the whole headlight "cage" out. I just did that a couple weeks ago, cleaned up all the rust (mostly just surface), and spray painted 'em black. I just bolted them back on the car today after work as a matter of fact! I don't have the headlights or the covers back on yet but still... progress is progress!

I feel like the golf bags are designed to fit into s chassis for a reason...
The only reference the designers used to create the first golf bag was based on an s-chassis. For sure.
