  • Oleksandr Usyk has already written his name in history by collecting all the cruiserweight belts. But he didn't stop there and soared to the very top of the royal division. Now is the right time to take a closer look at his boxing journey in both the amateur and professional rings.

    I had a temper problem as a teenager and so my Dad took me to a boxing camp . I wrongly assumed that it was so I could take out frustrations on other competitors. I discovered that to lose your temper in the ring is going to get you beaten , at least if you are untrained and boxing someone who isn't. I learned something about discipline. Aaron Pryor came to the camp and told us about his life in boxing and on the streets, which was pretty awesome. He taught us so much about boxing and about life , how making bad decisions will ruin you no matter how talented you are . He was almost blind but he was still pretty young so watching him move around the ring was very cool.
    I hope Usyk continues to have success. He is an incredible athlete, a good man and he deserves all the praise in the world

      Its called adapting wtf. The statement also makes no sense, if a knockout would have occurred then of course you don’t need to revise the actions unless you can time travel and want to win a different way? If he was saying he had to change tactics during fight then thats simply adapting. This is seriously one of the goofiest quotes I have ever heard.

      The win against Wlad, in a fight that neither threw a punch, and he's beaten Wilder, who has beaten nobody.
      He also has two very dubious 'sins' on his resume. John MacDermott got robbed, and there's a case to be made for Otto Wallin. I'm not saying he deserved to lose to Wallin, but I am saying that he is not this amazing superstar that he spouts like he is. Him and his Dad are salesepeople, and just like that salesman Trump fooled millions by just saying words, there's no substance beneath the words. Fury ducked AJ twice, he's a fraud. Now he's waffling about fighting Usyk. It's a shame, because maybe he is great, but we just don't know yet, cos the guy is so risk averse.

    I feel like Usky hase more skill than Fury overall as a boxer over Fury and I'm not trying to hate on Joshua, but I feel like he needed more time as a boxer. I always felt his speed was a weakness, same as the bronze bomber. In sure I would get my head taken off if I faced them so again I'm not looking to demean their work.

      Obviously, 99.9% of men would get their heads knocked off by any elite Boxers, including Lightweights. There is an incident where Joltin Jeff Chandler, who was the Bantamweight Champion (118 lbs.) of the world got into a brawl at a nightclub and knocked out over a dozen bouncers. Usyk has had over 350 amateur bouts in addition to his 21 pro bouts, plus innumerable rounds of sparring. That's why he has so many great accomplishments, including winning his first World Title after just 8 bouts. Usyk has an undefeated pro record against mostly top-flight opposition. Usyk has had more than enough time as a boxer in the ring since the age of 15.

    • @SKa-tt9nm
      @SKa-tt9nm Рік тому

      @@NewarkBay357 actually, spending too much time as an amateur is a massive minus in the pros. Plenty of hall of fame amateurs stayed at that level for too long and it stunted their growth as pros - Ty Biggs, Henry Tillman and Jorge Luis Gonzalez come to mind.
      The rules and training are just vastly different and one has to un-learn a lot of habits that worked as an amateur but would get you killed as a pro.
      Clearly that hasn’t happened with Usyk, but there is absolutely no cause and effect relationship between Usyk’s 350 amateur fights and his success as a pro.

    Marius Bredis was the toughest match Usyk ever had. I think Olexandr Usyk will be considered the greatest boxer in history after he defeats Tyson Fury. Usyk's skills are unmatched. He is also quite the dancer. Without question, Usyk could be a professional dancer. Usyk wins over Fury in a tough bout, but there is no doubt that Usyk wins a Unanimous decision.

      I don’t think he beats a Tyson Fury who takes the fight 100% seriously and puts himself through a very hard training camp coming in at tip top shape. Fury is too big, too strong, has such a reach and height advantage, and moves extremely well for a big man. He would be unlike anything Usyk has ever faced.

      With an a. In Russian for example ''Denisenko'' would be pronounced something like ''Dyinisyenka'', I don't know how close Ukrainian is to Russian but I guess fairly close, so the ''o'' is said like an ''a''. In Russian and Ukrainian vowels can change pronunciation depending where they are in a word, same as in English. Contrast with Spanish where vowels are always phonetically the same, no matter where they fall in a word, somewhat reducing the difficulty of learning Spanish.
