I started a few seed varieties about 2 days ago, with a 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 3 parts water. Let me tell you it's fantastic! I'm doing straight 8 cucumbers, spinach, kale, broccoli, sunflower seeds, tomato's, tomatillos and a few peppers.
I did the same method but until now my seeds haven't sprouted. It's been more than a week already. I think the hydrogen peroxide solution only works best with seeds that has a high germination rate. It doesn't work with old seeds. I guess mine was.
Well it’s hard to tell if it had any effect on the germination rate because all of those seeds were probably super viable. I think the only way to really tell would be to try germinating some seeds that are not so good and see if hydrogen peroxide revived them or not.
What if the seeds are so darn tiny you can barely see them . Wouldn’t it be easy to lose them while trying to do this ? Thank you for the video. So nice to see some experiments. I just planted around 40 seeds almost 4 weeks ago with only 2 germinating so far . And I’ve had moss issues. I have them indoors under grow lights . I used 8 hydroxyquinoline sulfate for the moss growth . I had great success last time growing lithops this way . But the sedum suaveolens , greenovia and pachyphytum don’t like me this time . I used all inorganic mix for the lithops. But this time I used half organic and half inorganic. My inorganic part is fine pumice . The organic part is sifted Coco Loco potting mix. Its coir based . Maybe too nutritious? Maybe plain coir and pumice would have been better.
I’m not well versed in succulent seeds but basing from what i’ve learned before, the need to undergo seed stratification inorder to germinate. It’s a process where the need cool/ warm treatment. Mimicking their normal habitat
Can I pour a hydrogen peroxide/water solution on seeds that are planted in soil (outside)? The seeds were not put in Hydrogen Peroxide before planting.
I think you should have soaked the control batch in plain water filor 24 hours. You basically gave the treated batch a day early start. At the last stages of the experiment the un treated seeds are following behind in about one day.... So.....

how long did it take to germinate?
The other batch should be soaked in normal water for the comparison to be valid
Someone pointed this out earlier. I'll try to remake this experiment using gymno seeds soon!
@@srpsecosphere4965 try using boxwood seed like Japanese or Chinese and see

Spoons and cups vary in size a lot!
You said two tablespoons of H2O2 per cup of water, but your measuring spoon looked more like one teaspoon.
It’s 1-2 teaspoons, at least that is my usage.
Paper towel and sand which bag method
Can this damage the plants if you soak them a day or two longer?

Try using Chinese or Japanese boxwood seeds
Excellent organ performance.
Can not hear what you are trying to say!
2:05: "Hydrogen peroxide can speed up seed germination but did not affect the germination rate...."
What?
It means if 8 out of 10 seeds grow naturally, adding it won't make the other 2 grow. But it will speed up the 8 which grows naturally.

👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
How many percent the hydrogen peroxide need to germinate the seed
3%
Gunnera seeds take forever I’m in this dilemma right now does this work for all plants
Thanks
Try mo nga sa lavender yan di ko mapagerminate yung akin eh.
Please turn off the music. Can't watch. Sorry.

You can but it will serve a different purpose.

A friend of mine pointed that out. It was an honest mistake. I might redo this type of experiment soon 😊
were these watered originally with H2O2 or with water after they had been soaked?
Just soaked with h2o2
100 percent legit
Which h2o2 is that? 3% or other?
3%
THIS IS REALLY DANGEROUS. PLEASE USE GLOVES AND GOGGLES. especially if you show it to the internet.
Savety first!!!
And yes ist just 3% but maybe someone else buys it with 12 or 30 percent??
He SHOULDN'T be talking while the orchestra is playing. Very rude.
What about strawberry seeds. Can I soak them too?
Yes you can 🙂
Why background music louder than your voice thump down its a waste
