Wii is a home console from Nintendo. Launched in 2006, it introduced motion controlled gaming to a wide audience of Nintendo fans and people who didn't traditionally play video games. A value model of Wii, Wii mini, was launched in 2013, allowing a new audience to enjoy Wii software.

@definity_j0rd4n it's a first person shooter that also has you wielding a katana, it takes place in a western/japanese setting and has really immersive combat.

In case you didn't know: the reason why the Wii has GameCube backwards compatibility and the reason why the Wii U is backwards compatible with both is because they all run the same type of processor, each generation simply being more powerful than the next. In essence, it's like upgrading your PC but still being able to play PC games from ten years ago.

Limiting the scope of one's rom collection is key. Dump titles legally when you first feel like playing them and then keep them around to be picked up again. Otherwise you'll get super overwhelmed. Have an organisational system for it on your computer so you can easily search titles, categories, etc.

You forgot the complete sets of games for NES, SNES, GBA, and Genesis. Just need to install the emulators plus channel forwarders and the game files can go on either the hdd or the sd card.
What about PS1? I heard that most games are running perfectly in the newest updates

My favorite part about the wii usb loader gx is that you can still play wii games with gamecube controller support, where as the wii u you cannot use the adapter no matter how much you try. Somebody should do an update to the vwii to make the gc adapter work on wii games for usb loader gx.
I've never tried it, but I will. Maybe it's just that the Wii game has to be compatible with GameCube controllers for it to work?
So Im able to use the adapter on my Wii u for GameCube games. I even have the games on the menu on my Wii u. It's a pain in the ass using a virtual console injector for it tho lol. Before you launch a GC title, disconnect the USB adapter and wait till game starts to plug it in. It's weird and a pain in the butt work around but it works for mine. Hope this helps some how.

I bought a Wii off marketplace last year and modded it. You'll probably need to take a day to mod it. It is somewhat time consuming but in the end it's worth it. You'll be able to play ANY Wii, GameCube, PS1, SNES (and more) you want! There's weeks where I play my Wii more than my ps4 and switch. Tbh it's just nice to have
I love talking about home brewing so sorry got 3 of my comments. None of my friends are into modding so I just have to keep it all to myself 🤣 it seems complicated but think of it like this. You're modding your Wii so it can read games from a USB Drive, that's it. You can also add emulators and more. Hell there's even Wordle and Flappy Bird on there. So there still is currently a dedicated home brewing fan base. If you're a retro gamer and don't wanna spend hundreds of thousands of dollars then I recommend going a wii. It can play just about any system except PS2 and Xbox.

You have to put the disc in and dump the game.
Vimms lair is pretty trustworthy. for wii games make sure its in wbfs format. Game cube in ciso format.

Retroarch next. There’s a specific retroarch core for neo geo that works great and makes the whole library playable.
I’ve tried that. Retroarch is the only way I’ve found to play Sega 32X games. I like Retroarch, but I find it temperamental on the Wii. I’ve messed it up and reinstalled a few times. I’m finding myself playing the Neo Geo CD emulator more because I prefer individual channels Apps. I use the GameCube controller.
@@jimjilliker2890 yeah the apps look cool on the homepage. I don’t really use my Wii so much anymore but I had setup wiiflow to make games launched from retroarch look cool. It’s also a tedious setup though, but a really nice interface once finished.
The lack of Conduit 2, or Red Steel 2 in that library makes me very disappointed. Absolute hidden gems.

same i had the same mod he has too since a long time ago. I never knew i had a mod because my uncle had set it up and he knows alot about tech, so i thought he just set up a normal wii but all this time i have been playing a mod.
Few questions if anybody can help
1: how do you get the cover art to show up on your games in usb loader like that, mine have grey question marks
2: how can you get GameCube games as well and can you store them on the same usb as your Wii games
Push the boton 1 and dowload your covert art
If you press on the cover it will prompt you to download the covers. You will need an internet connection since it‘s an old console it will only work with an 2.4Ghz wifi connection or hotspot from your phone. You can store wii and gc games on the same hard drive with the correct folder namings.
Are you using a harddrive or a flashdrive? When using a flash drive I noticed it only allows you to look at one group of games from that kind of menu and I had to do some additional coding to get it to even read the wii games, and on top of that it won't let me burn my own copies onto it. I'm still able to play my Gamecube Roms, but only from a separate menu.
