The cherry on top would be to call for a price check from the slowest worker possible
@@EmunahFL Damn the throwback with the verb "to summon"!
I was on the edge of my seat for it but mental hub just edged me so hard lmao
Or someone who isn't working that day.
Or call a department that isn't staffed.
Thats EXACTLY what I would do every 3rd or 4th item....
When someone else controls the speed you are currently going at, stay on their good side.
This stress off working with the public usually doesn't come from the work; it comes from the public.
I used to hit them with the “oops, i gotta type this barcode in” on every single item…i get paid by the hour, not by the customer shorty
That's epic!
This scanner seems to be acting up. I better call someone to come help, but they might be on break...
@@DaninMaine right😂😂😂
That part💯💯💯💯
😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 oh, this is the speed you deserve. Who is in control now just learn how to respect others.
When customers are verbally abusing the staff they should be escorted from the premises IMMEDIATELY! These are human beings NOT slaves! They are not be compensated to tolerate abuse!
I believe all people should be required to work a few years in retail before they can be classified as full citizens.
Want to vote? Need to work your retail requirement.
Need your benefits? Please provide documentation of meeting the retail requirement.
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Or national service
That's funnier than shit! I've worked about 8 years of customer service, and I won't do that to myself again 😂
Maybe not retail specifically, but at least a job that is frequently referred to as 'menial.' Custodial, customer service, food prep...
Passports should also need retail requirements. Bcuz ameriKKKans. Go over seas and try pull that privilege sht over and end up needing a lawyer from the embassy, getting caned or beheaded.
“I don’t have all day”
“But I do”
Bro threw down the gauntlet with that one ☝️
I used to do this. If someone pissed me off, I'd scratch the barcode with my nail so it wouldn't scan. I'd have to call for a price check. I once had a woman at my register for 30 min. She almost had an aneurysm 😂😂😂. I will also drive the EXACT speed limit if someone is riding my ass. I'm retired now (not from retail that was a high school summer job) and live in a town where all our roads are two lanes and you can't pass for the hills and curves. If there's more than the jerk behind me, i won't hold everyone up. But if it's just one jerk, then 35 mph means 35 mph😂😂 I'm petty, i know.
The pettiness!!! 😅😅😅 sounds like what my husband would do
I love the petty! 😂
I prefer 5 miles under 😹
@@babytruth3522 bahahaha
Haha!! I do the exact same thing with someone who is on my ass on the road. “Oh you wanted me to go faster? Haha no thanks!”
I used to work at Walmart as a cashier/people greeter and I understand that cashier to a tee
"Greeter" is the upmost useless position ever invented, even bag packer have more use and I'm not very fond of that position either.
Not meant to put you down, cashier is an important, necessary and hard position for putting up with all the annoying customers.
@@griffinhatchlingDon't get confused. Walmart is all about profits. They didn't create the greeter position to make you feel good. It was likely an earlier attempt at reducing loss.
Yesssssssssssssssssssss!!!! I did the count cash super slow when people gave me one bill at a time... Like i was a stripper.. working for one dollar bills. Let it rain...while i reign. 4 years at Safeway does things to you.
What if they counted it out fast. Like they were counting for themselves as well?
Oh. Wait. You meant they HANDED it to you one bill at a time. URGH.
I'll count it out fast, then hand the stack to the cashier.
This made me actually laugh out loud.
Lol ive been in this exact situation and had the same reaction. Sometimes theres stuff going on behind the counter ppl dont know. Systems break down, computers dont work. Its fighting uphill just to do your job. Hit ppl with an attitude on top of that and you will discover what slow is 😂
I worked at Home Depot and the more sh*t you talked the slower I scanned the grand finale I hit the reset button and crashed the register good times.
I love it!!!! 😂😂😂 I dont respond well to negativity. I try to keep quiet and not say things like "God don't like ugly and neither do I. Feel free to go elswhere" or "You could get out of my line and shop somewhere else but, put the stuff back EXACTLY WHERE YOU GOT IT FROM before you go. Thank you! Have a nice day! Gotta 🙏🏾 for patience dealing with public daily.
where is the barcode on this one is the most relatable thing ill see this week
I only scanned 50 of these in the past hour, now where is that thang?!... 😂😅
@@xVibeChecked I wish these things had emojis instead of the thumbs up thumbs down I definitely put a 😂
Never have I ever nor will I ever speak to another human being this way.
@@jojokeane I already love you and so your neighborhood cashier Thanks you.
@@arielterr You are welcome. One can get the same thing done with kindness as they can by being rude. I choose kindness.
That would be me, tell me to go faster and I slow down - just shut up and next time, 🗣️ USE THE DAMNED SELF-CHECKOUT!!
I would have did same thing😂😂 rudeness is not an option for you😊
Yeah… that’s definitely how it should go… every time… personally I don’t even need “nice” or “polite”… I’d just joke decency and common respect. I’m definitely that cashier when people want to get stupid on me… just be decent and show some respect and everyone can get along. It’s just that simple.
"I get paid by the hour."
Love the pettyness
I lost it at grocery gopher...😂
Pretend the scanner isn’t working and type everything in. Double check each number before you press enter. 😂
Should have hit her with the "hmmm the barcode doesn't seem to scan, I'll have to type it in."
Hand her an application !!!LOL
I love it when I get customs like that. It's amazing how bar codes can't scan, price checks needed, aswell as "I need a manager"😂😅😊
"Price check in aisle 7" should have been the next words out of his mouth
"Self check out was very much an option for you"
Did this working at the home depot , had customer buy nuts and bolts and wanted me to individually bag each one separately 1600 pcs , then put in one bag
Excuse me??! 🙄
😂 man wtf
I hope you told them no.
Bagged each one super slow
@@Grimreaper45705that's next level petty!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
Was anyone else waiting for the "I need a price che-" 😂😂
This is exactly why I refuse to work retail because I would be getting fired or suspended with a customer like that
Love that level of pettiness 😂❤
OMG! THIS IS EXACTLY MY REACTION TO THAT DEMAND!😂
"At the bottom!" had me cackling!
Help packing! Nothing more annoying than a person standing there doing nothing
@@jimo1150 isn't that the truth! Do you still work at TJ's and customers used to stand there staring at you with folded arms. huffing.i don't say a word.
I had that lady in front of me at the grocery store yesterday. The clerk did exactly this, and I tried so hard not to laugh. I just ended up hysterically laughing anyway.
I definitely identify with this clerk. I did this job most of my working life. People really do behave like this.
I literally grew up in retail. My family had a store and I was there a lot. There is a very good reason why anyone who has worked retail will call it “retail hell”. Most people are jerks to employees. Whether it’s because they look down on retail employees or just think their time is far more important. I usually am very nice to retail employees. I know how hard their jobs can be.
As a cashier at a supermarket in my town...I do this all the time to Karens. I love my job. 😅
I can go through the self-checkout much faster with a full cart than have someone ring me up. Logistically it makes more sense. Plus I want to get out. The employees are there all day and aren’t in a hurry. Unfortunately, the Walmart I go to closed all of their self-checkouts, because of theft. So now I’m forced to interact with a cashier 😫
I hate the way checkers bag things. Self checkout all day!
My mama had a forman who once complained about her speed. She told him "I have two speeds. If you don't like this one you sure in the hell aren't going to like the other one".
I used to work at a grocery store, and I can assure you that this is EXACTLY what is going to happen if you screw with the cashier.
Be super nice to the people who make buying food possible.
Everyone should be required to work in customer service as their first job, imo. It teaches you how to hide what you really think.
This one actually scared me. Upset me. I'm going to hug my cat , getva bag of potato chips and make a martini. Bye bye.
As a cashier I can say some people actually act like this thinking it is okay. I'm happy to say they are few and far between 😊
Its the speed you deserve 😂😂
Maybe she's not a Karen, just a German in a bad mood?
I'm German, I live in Germany, and the cashiers here are trained to be speedrunners. In scanning.
However, that's a group effort, you gotta put your shopping cart right before the cash register so that you can put your goods in your shopping cart FAST.
We even have dividers at many registers in big grocery shops like Aldi and Lidl, so that if you didn't manage to get your groceries back in the cart in time, the cashier turns a handle, and the next person's groceries go on the other side of that table next to the cash registers.
If you're a speedrunner, come to Germany.
And thats me! f*cking with you without having to be rude back! lol
😂😂😂 i would scan so slow she could come back in the morning 😂
Lmao
"Where's the barcode on this one..."
"IT'S AT THE BOTTOM!"
"Are you sure that's a barcode?"
😂😂😂
Oh no the scanner has stopped working. I'll have to enter all the codes by hand now, oh my. 😂
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
I have watched this so many times. I'm can't stop laughing. The face expression
Lol - Grocery Grofer.... 😂😂😂😂
You're killing me😂😂😂❤
Love this!!!! Hilarious!!!
The shopper is in need of prayer. The worker too.
A soft answer turns away wrath.
I'm so glad I work in an environment where I can just choose to not serve the customer if they're rude like that.
"But, how am I gonna--"
"Shoulda thought of that before you copped attitude, shouldn't you."
It is okay to FIRE YOUR CUSTOMER!
thank God, someone mention it, some customer are treating retail employee with no respect and very demanding.
That's right people we don't want to hear your in a rush. 😂
Even if I'm in that line I'll be telling him he's going too fast.
When i worked at a grocery store, i wished i could do this so many times, but management had software that kept track of your scanning speed, and there were consequences for being the slowest cashier each month.
"GROCERY GOPHER?!" 😮😅YOOOO!!!
This happens to me constantly. It's usually the "bus" people. You came in a bus and you know exactly how much time you have to shop and get out before the bus comes again. But the first thing people will say is I'm in a hurry I have a bus to catch. Not my problem you fill your cart and then expect us to check you out within 2 minutes of the bus coming.
I also get annoyed when they come to self checkout and say will you do this for me I'm in a hurry. I couldn't help but snap one day and tell a customer it's called self-checkout for a reason!
I swear to god, if I ever see someone being treated this way while I'm shopping, god help them.😅. 💕
Hahaha!..
This just made my day ha ha ha
😂😂😂😂
Had some lady accuse me of being high one time to a manager because I had an issue with processing a return. She came back a few days later and had to awkwardly apologize lol.
The annoyance that people give to people trying to do their jobs is unreal
Payback!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I hate self check out. They are taking away people's jobs. Even if I'm having a bad day it only takes a few minutes extra and I meet the cashier with a smile. Hopefully the interaction will brighten both our day. Everyone serves someone else so what makes you think your any better than the next person? Be kind, it only takes a minute and could change someone's day.
I love petty!😂😂
I aspire to be this petty 😂😂😂
Don't fuck with people who handle your food😂
Call for a price check for an item that is as far away from the register as possible.
We cashiers would not be able to get away with that but we could call for a manager and the manager could get away with that.
It Doesn't cost a Cent to be Kind to Retail Workers and I can tell you from experience that If you make them Laugh , ONCE , they'll bend over backwards to help you from then until the End of Time!!!!!!!
Dude that's so me.
if you're in a hurry be polite about it had this same situation so went super slow and typed in every single product code was so funny
Trader Joe's
Hahaha! I approve of this reaction as a Former cashier.
Lady have you heard of delivery, curbside pickup and there's self scan, slow your roll br😅😊o
Imagine life will be like this everywhere during the Tribulation
I did this at one of my jobs it was so funny. My boss saw me and thought it was funny too because that customer always complained about everything.
Ha ha ha, this would be something I would totally do if I was in this type of work.
“The customer is always right”
No. Sometimes the customer is an a**hole.
I do not miss retail work.
I don't like waiting and I don't like the way checkers bag. Self Checkout all day Ba-by!
Lmao, that's what you get for being rude
Well, self checkout is an option for you!
Pays to be nice to customer service workers
😂😂😂❤❤
Why would you ever ask a person doing their job at an optimum speed and precission to go faster and with that attitude?
Me: " and I hope you have the day you deserve"
Bieee
Sooo fucking nice almos never have to wait for someone else to scan your items.
“Oh dayum! It looks like everything here double-scanned, so the total is twice the amount. I can void the transaction and start over…but I'd have to use a different register. Are you paying by cash or card? Cash? Oh, double dayum, I'll have to get a manager override…and I have to count out my drawer. Can you wait? No? Well, self-checkout is open! 😁” 😏🤭
I would price check ever other item until she shut up.
I did this when I was working at super market
