    Jose will win now but the time control should be 3 minutes with 1 second increment to match Title Tuesday. That’s the claim after all, that he’s cheating in TT. If it was 1 second increment Jose might just have won all the online games.

      Makes sense. But I doubt that if Jospem is supposed to win 80% with 3+1, 3+2 is supposed to make it 40%.
      According to statistics, he should still win hugely.

      They should just have told Kramik that the same laptops will be used, that the arbiter will keep them under lock and key when they aren't used and if that isn't good enough for Kramnik's paranoia he should get therapy instead of acting out.

    • @backslash8874
      @backslash8874 Місяць тому

      The issue here is not with the laptop and Kramnik is NOT demanding new laptops. The issue was with ChessCom server lagging and showing Kramnik much less time than he had and the time suddenly increased at the end by a great margin, this happened 2 times and was confirmed by the arbiter, so Kramnik said that he couldn't continue in ChessCom as he couldn't trust his time and suggested playing on Lichess or any other platform.

    • @danieldbdb
      @danieldbdb Місяць тому +1

      @@siddharthmulherkar8910Exactly. Kramnik can't use the mouse properly. He loses a lot of time online by double clicking instead of drag and dropping the pieces.

    • @blogattacker
      @blogattacker Місяць тому +3

      It is the psychological factor. Kasparov says that you need to beat your opponent before moving the pieces, just for your presence. That factor is lost in front a computer, it is just a nickname, you don't have a World champion looking into your eyes. And also pattern recognition by images. People can be better at online or at OTC depending how much you play in each format

      @LionKing-qp1lk Місяць тому

      VBkramnik: I don't make premoves by principle, not because dont know how. Simply violates rules and spirit of CHESS, and I want to play chess,not cybersports

  • @vik24oct1991

    so jospem crushes kramnik 9-1 online and losing to him now otb, kramnik is onto something, you never know when someone uses engine as consultant for some moves appearing to be stronger than they really are, that is why online chess is pointless as its too easy to cheat, not saying josepem has cheated maybe nerves but its surely interesting thing to look at.

    • @journeytograndmaster
      @journeytograndmaster  Місяць тому

    • @bluedragon4sho
      @bluedragon4sho Місяць тому

      You can be used to online play as opposed to otb. I can attest to this when I play otb, I tend to not do as well if it's been long stretches of me just playing online. On top of when it's online, Jospem has the advantage with the mouse speed, Kramnik is hella slow and loses a lot due to running out of time, so nothing here is "interesting" or surprising.

    • @journeytograndmaster
      @journeytograndmaster  Місяць тому

      Okay, but they play here 14 games online. So Jospem is supposed to win with a huge margin to confirm the previous statistics. If he doesn't, it would be super weird, wouldn't it?

Argue with online accuracy just like Kramnik and forget about all the differences that random online games from home have with a match like this which is hybrid OTB, where theres a completely different atmosphere and such. This whole match proves nothing no matter which way it goes. What is a good indicator though is that Jospem used to be 3100-3300 before and during pandemic, yet when stronger players came in he settled around 3000 nowadays which is exactly whats expected. He is no Magnus or Hikaru but occasionally he can have great games. Kramink suspects everybody left and right even when he plays horrible games.
