    • @daedalron
      @daedalron Рік тому +182

      To be fair, running your clock down is just good sportsmanship. And Magnus has been on the receiving end of this a few times, when he was late to a game and started with a time deficit, and his opponent wasted his time to adjust the clock for an equal time for time.

    • @ilyaalexeev7845
      @ilyaalexeev7845 Рік тому +117

      @@daedalron Yeah, but at the same time not adjusting your clock when the opponent is late is not "bad" sportsmanship. If you're late to a game it's your problem. Still, it's nice to see when people do it out of respect

      It wasn't because of sportsmanship, it just took him a minute and a half to decide, h6 or a6 first. It's the most important decision in life of any gentleman.

    It's actually quite disheartening to see this unravel. I remember my grandfather was a huge chess fan, starting to play and watch WCC at around 1991. His favorite player wasn't Kasparov (it was Tal), but he actually rooted for Kramnik to dethrone Kasparov in 2000. I guess he got tired of Kasparov beating everyone and switched to the underdog. He embraced some of his play style quirks (adapted mainly d4, c4 lines). To see a man that beat a chess legend, regressing to an infant child-like behavior simply because he isn't as good at chess as he was at the beginning of 2000's is just numb. Hopefully he embraces the fact that no man can be at top of his chess shape forever, even Kasparov wore off as time went by 90's, but did he act like this? Obviously not, because the man has manners and ego in line according to his IQ. Hopefully Kramnik changes not because I want him to but because I would like my grandpa to be proud in heaven by supporting this guy when he was still alive.

    if agadmator or gotham covered a game first, i usually didn't watch it a second time. Now I'm watching the same games twice. I like that each channel focuses on slightly different things in the game and a few different positions in the same game get highlights. Very nice for a better understanding of a single game

      I really don't get these comments. If you're a commentator/creator/personality covering any game/sport and the literal GOAT (or at worst top 3 of all time) of said game/sport is active and at his best....of course you're going to make a lot of content covering them.
      It'd be like if Michael Jordan was playing today and in his streak with the Bulls and then criticizing a youtuber for covering him a lot.

    2:04 I think Kramnik is taking the position that his cheating accusations is (or will become) a geopolitical extension of the Russia vs The West conflict. And Levy is sorta in the middle since he is of Russian descent and speaks Russian so that is why he is neutral towards him
