- This is my first-ever 24 hour race and the longest mountain bike race I've done to date. My husband, Tony Hase, and I raced it in the co-ed Duo category. Our goal was 8 laps each, but as you'll see, I ran into an issue before I could achieve it. Still, we finished the race with 13 laps and a ton of great memories.
You can check out the race details here: epicrides.com/...
Epic Rides did a fantastic job with the course and cultivating a fun and welcoming race atmosphere.

Great share, looks AWESOME. good content -- subbed!
Great job, on the video and the race Katrina!
Thank you, Ray! Great job to you as well-you looked awesome all the way through your last lap!
Rib fracture- ouch! Hopefully your are feeling ok and here’s to a speedy recovery!
Thanks….yeah that’s a first for me!
Awesome video!
Thanks Kathleen!
Wow. I have never heard of anything like this before. I sure would not be comfortable riding a bike on that terrain in the dark. Very lucky there were no cactus where you fell. Great job, I love the teamwork aspect of this whole race. It looks like it would take a toll on the body with all of the vibrations for that many hours in a row. It was great to see you both again too.
I like the team work aspect of the race too…it was good motivation to keep going! Riding at night isn’t for everyone, but I love the challenge and focus of it!
@@katrinahase Yes, a tremendous amount of focus for sure. I will stick to riding on the streets in the daylight haha. You both ride so fast through that terrain too. It was very impressive to watch. Thanks for sharing the video.
Well done!! 6 laps is more than none!!!
Well thanks...I can't argue with that!
I've now watched four videos showing this years race...looking for you & Tony, and Dave & Traci, and Scott & Charlie, and Malcolm & Ian :) . Yours undoubtedly gives the best commentary about the course itself, as well as showing most of the course...thanks for that, it was a very enjoyable video to watch. You're also the only one who showed a crash, that rock drop looks a little intimidating, glad you weren't injured too seriously. Oh, and also congrats on a job well done!!
Thanks for watching and for the nice feedback, Jeff! It was a bummer to crash on such a fun feature, but at least I didn't hit a cactus!
This is the first I've heard of this. You captured it really well!
Thanks for watching!
My brother did it too, and it was so dun. I'm hoping to do a solo next year, and im 11, so we will see how it goes
A solo! Wow, that’s a lot of miles…good for you!
I guess i don't understand the competition end of things like this 😮
Some races I think are all about the adventure!
