    So glad to have these back! These race analysis videos got me into racing, and it’s been a long 2 years of reruns. Great result and solid insight. All during race season. This is my happy place ☺️

    Fat tire races are kids fun races that are very young...but this looks hella fun. Fat slicks and MTB means crazy corner speed. My rigid Ti MTB would fit right in here

      I like that they’re forced to ride a bike that was chosen for a race that’s pretty much the polar opposite. It really shows the talent and power the riders have.

    I live in Tucson, and Keegan has most of the KOMs around Tucson. No need to wonder why. Amazing power from such a relatively small rider. Always rooting for Keegan! Great job!

    I agree with Keegan open travel is faster in Blur TR.
    I am currently doing 2 race series in San Diego 16 XC races in 2 months. I race the blur in the TR setup, 34 fox fork 120mm. For some reason I improved in the series significantly with my travel open more, there are other factors that could apply, but I felt much faster even in the climbs too.
    I think the firmness of the 120mm fork acts as a lock out in itself, and only uses travel when it needs it. Im sure there is a physics law out there that explains it ;).

    These outputs are insane. If I can get 5 30 second 500w+ outputs in a multi hour ride, I'm squashed.

    WHY UNLOCK THE SUSPENSION on the downhill???

    • @TrainerRoad
      @TrainerRoad  2 роки тому +3

      As Keegan said, he A/B tested it along with his teammate and it helped maintain momentum over the small bumps/cracks in the descent and helped maintain control. Marginal gains!

    • @Red-ju4mi
      @Red-ju4mi 2 роки тому +1

      @@TrainerRoad does that mean road bikes with a tiny bit of suspension would be faster on downhill?
      I guess the question was about the science. I know why he did, just confused on why this was true

      I don't know if we could extrapolate an anecdote across different circumstances, but as a general principle, smooth is fast.
