These dogs are so bonded to their humans they're showing separation anxiety when they are left alone. Nike keeps going to the door to check if you're coming back for him. He's more concerned about that than the treats.
I thought he was just making sure he did not get caught.

its the difference between puppy/very young dog and full adult.
The fact he went for the turkey as soon as you were in your car and probably looking the other way and that he made it back in time for your car to appear where you could see him is awesome. Great timing.

He was scripted to find the food for content. Owner is just using him. The dog not wanting to be qlone is the only natural part of this

One the top humble brags I’ve seen.
I lost my precious Lab, Abby, about 2 years ago - she was VERY food motivated, but as she got older, she wouldn’t even eat her dinner if I wasn’t home - my boyfriend would put her food in the bowl & it would just sit there until I got home - she would then greet me & race to her bowl to eat her dinner ! Labs are the best- I miss her so much

Wow. Just amazing. I rescued a gorgeous golden, gave it to my handyman, he dropped her off the next day for me to babysit. That dog was suffering and in agony all day she was already so in love with him.
Unbelievable.
The Husky I had would eat when I ate. But usually she would eat some when I put fresh food in the bowl.

@@kimberlyrainey771 Thank you so much - sorry for your loss as well - it’s just heartbreaking - I still have a Pekingese from my parents when they passed, so at least I have him, but Abby was the dog of my heart - April 1 will be 3 years & I still sometimes tear up thinking about her & looking at her pictures - she was just the sweetest, most loving, loyal pet

My lab just goes to sleep when we leave, but I feel that's a good thing.

Yeah, I adopted my border collie at the beginning of the pandemic. Worked from home, never got to leave anywhere due to quarantine. And now when I leave, she's beside herself. She's capable of sticking her nose to the door and waiting there for 3 hours straight, poor baby . We need to work on that.

New sub here! I’m so happy this channel popped up! We had a yellow Lab, Zeke, who was a complete goober! I miss him so much! They are incredibly smart! He would literally lose his mind when he heard fireworks. He would run through the screened in porch, bust open the screen door onto the deck barking his ass off, standing on his hind legs at times and absolutely loving it! His fave gig was dropping one of his pool toys into the pool and look as us like, “Oh no, well I GUESS I GOTTA JUMP IN A FETCH IT!! 😂🤣 He would do this even when we WEREN’T in the pool! He LOVED diving for toys, completely upside down, swim to the ladder and get out of the pool. My crazy boy. 😢 He was pure joy and brought so much love and life into our lives. I know he still comes to visit us.🥲 Much love to you and Nike!

LITERALLY ME when left alone for whole days as a kid 😂 first super happy, running to eat anything tasty & forbidden (eg chewing gum). then waiting looking out of the window, then wining a bit when it gets too boring already 😂

He was probably going at it like a beast because he could smell the cheese! If he REALLY liked it- he wouldn’t have left any behind! My lab loves meat and cheese, sweet potatoes and green beans.Mostly gets dry dog food the other things are treats.
@@debbietramundanas6518 My chocolate lab Kelly (who passed last March 😭) also loved fruits but mostly veggies! Labradors are known to be very very voracious dogs that’s why we humans have to be extremely careful not to give them everything we eat!
its ok when ppl give veggies to dogs that really like them like nike but i saw a karen who forced her dog to eat it then when she was gonna show her dog rather ate veggies than meat the dog just ate the meat

My lab brings all treats to the door then lays on my bed to watch for me out the window. When I get home she eats them after I have acknowledged her. She won't eat unless I am right there with her.
Mines the same. Come home 3 hours later, she's laying on an uneaten Greenie, until she sees me and inhales it.

The minute Nike noted that being "home alone" was for real he went like crazy straight to the turkey 3:00. He saw and checked the fruit four times and dismissed it, and only ate it until you gave it to him, smart fella. So funny! Nike's so cute, goofy and so active. Nike kept on running non stop most of the time, showing us the whole house, lol.

I have a same aged lab pup shes same as Nike spunky,galloping around but a bit aggressive for strangers, Nike seems to b friendly dogu love his active moves and sniffing food sorry for his anxiety moments when he s looking for you to come back ,lov the clip..stay blessed you two ❤💛💜🧡
I cannot believe you don’t recognise separation anxiety he’s not going around the house looking for treats he’s looking for you his anxiety building until he ‘vocalises it’ you have to start with leaving him alone for a minute building on it every other day and making sure he’s got enough toys to keep him from getting bored please don’t leave him like that again 15 mins is nothing to you but seems a loooooong time for Nike, you can see how much you both adore each other. ❤

You got him so excited when you left like you were taking him for a walk !He really is struggling with separation anxiety...the panting pacing looking around the house for you. Bless him need to work on that. A TV or radio on can really help. Just waking in and our of a room shutting the door and working up to leaving helps. And dont make a fuss when you come home just rewards the anxiety
I was looking for this comment. It’s not sweet to for a dog to be this keyed up, poor dog. They should definitely work on only leaving the house after tiring him out and ignoring him for a while before leaving. I know it’s hard to tire out an f1 lab but yeah this is how you end up with a trashed house

It's a very new experience to see the view from a dog's back. It was like I was riding on the back of the dog.
