- European countries are rushing to investigate mystery leaks in two gas pipelines at the heart of an energy crisis on the continent. Danish authorities had discovered a leak in the Nord Stream 2 pipeline on Sep 26. Shortly after that, Sweden reported two leaks in the nearby Nord Stream 1 pipeline.

Former Polish foreign minister thanks US for damaging Nord Stream pipeline.
Radoslaw Sikorski, European Parliament member and former Polish foreign minister, insinuated that the US had deliberately inflicted damage on the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
On his Twitter account late Tuesday, Sikorski shared a photograph of gas leak, saying "Thank you, USA."

If you understood physics, you'd understand why. An analogy: is you built a house and after installing the plumbing left all the faucets/outlets open when you turned on the water main would you find any leaks? No, only when you shut off the faucets/outlets would leaks appear, maybe not immediately, but eventually any bad joining would make its presence known. Therefore, it was the incompetent shutting down of the pipeline combined with its non-depressurization that caused the leaks. The opening of a competing pipeline on the same day was not a coincidence either, since it was driven by the shutting down of the Nord Stream pipelines i.e. it was cause and effect.
Honestly, NATO benefits from this the most. Russia needs these pipelines to maintain its bargaining with Germany. The destroyed pipelines forces Germany to go all in with Ukraine. It could be Poland, they have capable special forces and assets. Could also be Americans.
If we were to go with sabotage for a purpose, this is most likely a NATO sided op. Could be any of the countries with interest in supporting Ukraine and stopping the Germans from negotiating with the Russians.
Now Shultz has no reason to not back Ukraine. Chances are they the Germans were still getting gas.

If Russia can switch off their gas from their source, it only creates headaches to damage or halt the rest of the transport network. They can't use it if they need it again.

After a year of delays, the Polish commissioned underwater gas pipeline from Norwegian gas fields into Poland was declared operational at a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The next day the pair of out of service gas pipelines NS1 & NS2 suffered 3 explosive ruptures off the coast of the Danish island of Bornholm.
Reports of a US warship operating in that area northeast of Bornholm island, three days prior to the explosions, could point to American operatives as the cause.
Equally possible is that Polish operatives are the likely saboteurs. Poland has been cutoff from Russian gas, and have been buying natural gas via Germany at a hefty premium.
This unfortunate situation cuts off Germany, and makes Poland a major source of Natural Gas for Germany. Unfortunately for Germany the premium will be even higher.
And Poland gets to poke Putin in the eye without losing a single soldier. Priceless for Poland.

It seems to have been forgotten, that Norway is the 2nd largest pipeline gas exporter in the World, and the Russian Nordstream 1 and 2 blew up on the exact same day Norway's new gas pipeline to Poland was opened and went online. A coincidence? ... hardly .. what most people seem to miss, is that gas is still very much flowing in the pipelines to the EU, and will also do so through the winter, but now only from Norway, and Norway are able to sell more natural gas than they usually would, the final figures for July 2022 (in the summer when there are obviously no people freezing) show that the volume of gas Norway sold was 5.7% higher than the volume of what they sold in July 2021. So, they are increasingly selling and pipelining more gas and with their new pipeline to Poland, will easily be able to adjust its gas production to more gas for exports, instead of just re-injecting it back into the ground, as they usually would have done with their surplus gas. So, no reason to randomly pointing fingers at the USA.

Major gas and oil pipelines are equipped with "Pipeline Pigs" which are remotely controlled robot type devices inserted into the pipeline to clean and inspect the interior of the pipe. It would be perfectly possible to adapt one of these devices to carry a substantial charge along the pipe and detonate it at a predetermined time/location in the pipeline. With no need for submarines or divers. Of course this would have to be done by whoever controls access to the pipeline.
This is worse than a movie..truly scary stuff..

As someone who has "pigged" pipelines, there's a few things wrong with that idea. 1 pigs are used for crude oil pipelines 2 pig launch and pig traps are not exactly what you're imagining.
I thought both NS1 and NS2 are shut down (no flow). So what's leaking and why?

would gas ignite under water, think about it ,for fire you need heat fuel and oxygen, there is not enough oxygen in water , the water would put any fire out, it should rush into the pipe unless the pressure of the gas is more than the water, there is a lot of pressure at those depths, i wonder what will happen if they turn the gas of, will it flood the pipe
