Agreed. The same goes for me, because I didn't like Lake Malawi or We Are Domi in their national finals, they were both my 4th place. This means that Lenny will win, because I ranked her 4th.

objectively, mydy is czechia's best option. they have that eurovision type of iconicness and they can really be a televote magnet!! songwise i prefer aiko and elly but their performances aren't quite it. hope that czechia chooses correctly!

I really loved the Cornelia Jakobs-like depth and rasp of Lenny, she was probably my favourite. Although MYDY likely has the best chance at eurovision so it’s a logical choice. Even though I know it won’t happen, I did toss a vote for Lenny. Also shout out to Elly, her voice was the best on the night and her song was quite good.

Updated top 7 - changed a lot!
1. MYDY (=) Just win please.
2. Aiko (+2) ah yes tragic performance but I must say the song itself is a banger and is growing so hard on me, and its just fun to watch the performance just because of how imperfect it is.
3. Tomas Robin (-1) also amazing, but kind of a let down when I saw the live but banger alert nevertheless!
4. Lenny (+1) Not the most original song ever but the sound of her voice is beautiful and I LOVE THE VIBES I get from this song. It just gives me chills of the good old times, I can’t even describe it better but you probably know what I mean.
5. Elly (-2) fell down. Why? Its just a well produced song but its boring to watch and kind of lacking originality. While others are very futuristic and fresh, this women is just standing as a candle singing a pretty average song, would’ve fitten in swedish NF.
6. Tom Sean (=) The song is quite cool overall but there’s just missing something. Theres just not a Wow factor and thats all you need. Lyrics go nowhere but beat goes hard.
7. Starlet (dreadful performance its awful to watch this, even I feel awkward by just watching this. Karaoke in its highest form (not).

You may think that most of the songs were not well sung. I'd like to tell you something. It was the production. Everyone who performed tonight can sing live. But what the Czech Eurovision team is doing with their REALLY LOW BUDGET is something everyone should appreciate. Yes, they could simply decide and choose the song for us. But they are trying very hard to develop Eurovision in our country even with the help of the national final. There are countries where Eurovision is in the first place (Iceland, Sweden), they also have a huge budget and they decide on the participation in the next edition after the previous one. Then there are countries like the Czech Republic where Eurovision is not so successful yet, they don't have a big budget and because of that they have to decide on participation at the last minute. That's why you can't ask the Czech Republic for NF on the level of Melodifestivalen etc. The Czech Republic is trying very hard to develop their format and they are succeeding. They have gone from only online selection based on video clips to live TV NF in a few years (yes this year's ESCZ was broadcast live on CT).
Well, I think Czechia has its own sound and it's great! I liked most of the songs but MYDY and/or Tom Sean would be quite a treat for Europe (And the World) ;)

Me! I didn't need to be vocal about it. If the internet has taught me anything is that usually you'll see only the vocal minority while the majority will just remain silent because of how toxic social media is and how people can't accept different points of view. The sound was pretty terrible for everyone, and anybody who likes rock with pop vibes knew Aiko had the right attitude to at least have a good try. I kinda liked other entries as well, but honestly for Eurovision I want an over the top performance with a nice and catchy (but not to the point of getting tiresome) song.

Hmm, I don’t think it‘s a bad selection. Aiko and Gianna Lei were not good at all, but the others all had something to them. Elly‘s song is an emotional banger (with low qualification chances), Mydy very funny and iconic (but could easily become too trashy if they don’t do a good job at staging and revamp!), Tomas Robin has an interesting yet somewhat boring song (vocals need a lot of work, this song will get lost without good singing!), Lenny has a quite gripping voice and an emotional song (can do well if performed well), and Tom Sean is not the best singer, but he’s a very good performer, and the song is a banger. If I had to choose, it would be Lenny or Tom Sean.
If elly give us a Phenomenal performance (if she is Czechia representant) i dont think Czechia would NQ, she has the vocals and angel share is such a bop

why is no one talking about elly? she was by far the best. such a eurovision bop and her vocals could do with a little improvement but she already nailing some of the high notes. i could definitely see this qualifying but everything else not so much

@@Beckford4000we always see many acts each year improve their vocals after winning their national performance until eurovision. literally vesna last year for example. elly already has a strong voice to work with and there’s a lot of potential to further improve.

I just would like to point out that Czech Republic itself gave only 5,7% of its votes to Aiko and yet she has become the representative of the country. She was literally at the bottom of the Czech results (Elly received 58,5% (!) of Czech votes, MYDY 15,3%, Lenny 10%, Tom Sean 7,9%, Aiko 5,7%, Tomas Robin 1,7% and Gianna Lei 0,9%).
Personally, I find it weird that international votes have 70% of weight while Czech votes only have weight of 30%. That caused the final score to be 46,27% for Aiko and 24,93% for Elly. But keep in mind that even without this rule, due to the massive international support for Aiko she would still be the winner, the score would just become very tight - 36,3% Aiko vs. 33,2% Elly.
Anyway, considering only 5,7% of Czechs wished her to represent their country I really doubt she will have their support now. The world voted for Aiko, not us. I hope that in the final round, international audience will gave her this massive support again when they literally forced us to send her to the competition. Show some loyalty and let the girl win then.
They should region lock the votes then like the Eurovision semifinals and final. I voted for Aiko. Elly and many other artists have good songs, but Aiko imo has a good and different enough song to compete, while Elly falls into a slightly generic ballad trope, and MYDY isn't over the top enough to be a joke-ish entry like Let 3's Mama SC! and also not serious enough to be a pop perfection entry like Chanel's Slomo.
Oh finally MYDY thank you for the best live performance of the bunch.

Nemohu si pomoct, ale me skoro vsechny ty pisnicky prijdou falesne zaspivany (vcetne vitezne Aiko). Nejlepe to odzpivala podle me Lenny (hodnotim interpretaci, ne pisen). Napred jsem si myslel, ze to je spatnou akustikou prostor a ozvucenim (castecne asi ano), ale zrejme to je tim, ze to zpivaji nazivo a proste to nezni u vetsiny ciste. Osobne jsem z letosniho vyberu pro rok 2024 zklaman a nevybral bych si zadnou pisen. Narozdil od vyborne skupiny Vesna a jejich pisnicky My Sister's Crown, ktera skoncila letos na 10. miste, podle me Aiko v roce 2024 nema sanci na umisteni v prvni desitce.

Ach jo😢. Doufala jsem, že po loňském roce naším hudebníkům KONEČNĚ dojde, že fakt není nutné spívat jen v anglině, aby měli úspěch. Podívejte na Finsko, většina lidí mu nerozuměla nic než refrén, ale přesto jeho vystoupení mělo takový grády, že to většina lidí ocenila. Hudba je totiž o emocích a ty jsou univerzální pro všechny. Za mě letos jedinej song, kterej mě zaujal byl od Toma Seana. Sice na live vokálech to chce ještě trochu zapracovat, ale se zajímavou choreografií by to mohlo uspět. MYDY live vystoupení bylo asi nejlepší, ale ta písnička až moc připomíná Maneskin. Za mě největší zklamání Lenny, má tolik super písniček a do Eurovize si zvolí dost nevíraznou skladbu.

@@davidace5444 To je mi jasné, ale pokud chceš zaujmout zahraniční publikum, které toho dotyčného interpreta nezná a je jim fuk jak je slavnej doma, tak pošlu písničku, která má náboj a dobrý rytmus jako měli třeba skladby Hello, nebo Enemy a nebo v nich nechat víc vyniknout její krásný hlas jako v písni Letter to you. Současná písnička bohužel nemá ani jedno.

Pokud NEMÁM silnou skladbu (ať už s chytlavou melodií, dobrým poselstvím, nebo jedinečným přednesem) tak se nehlásím do soutěže, kde se vybýrají ty NEJLEPŠÍ písně z celé Evropy (a Izraele a Austrálie). Pak si o nás v zahraničí myslí, že jsme se tu asi zbláznili.

The Czechs always bring it! 🇨🇿 I honestly think any of these songs could go to the eurovision stage and do well (with the help of the Czech team's great staging game) But I am leaning towards voting for Red Flag Parade. "the Czech team's great staging game" most people agree that the staging was what killed off Vesna's chances last year. They took an amazing song, with top 5 potential, and destroyed it with terrible staging. Benny Cristo's staging sucked as well. That said, We Are Domi and Lake Malawi's was pretty good and elevated weak songs.

Why was the sound so atrocious, they mostly sounded out of tune half the time and like they didn’t know what was going on
No musím říct, že je to slabé.. Na Vesnu ani jeden zpěvák nemá a rozhodně se většina nehodí na Eurovision.. To má maximálně tak MYDY, ale obávám se že na finále to není :/
