- This is an universal video tutorial for backing up Stock or any (custom) ROM of any android device having TWRP recovery installed. This is also known as Nandroid Backup. It's the most important thing before installing a custom ROM or modifying any system file on stock ROM. So, don't delay and do it right after installing Custom Recovery and if you face any difficulty during the process feel free to comment below this video.

No, no problem if u revert from a custom ROM. And It was symphony i10.

I had used xposed framework quite a long ago. Thats y I can't tell u surely that wheather restoring TWRP backup will fix messing up with xposed framework or not.
But as far I can remember Restoring TWRP backup will fix everything if u stuck at boot logo.
And if it doesn't then u have flash whole stock firmware from pc.

This is the one step I missed / forgot.
Now, I have twrp, magisk, magisk manager installed and all was working good. I installed titanium backup and it was good. I checked with root checker and it was good. But I was messing around with some backup setting in titanium backup and now -- I'd really like to start fresh with a completely stock ROM (Galaxy S7 SM-G930W8).
Can I do this with TWRP?
Or do I have to USE ODIN?

If u don't need to have root anymore, then flash stock firmware using odin. And if u need root and u have backed up stock ROM from TWRP then u can simply restore the backed up stock ROM from TWRP. Hope all will be fine.
@@TechInquisitive I started with Stock ROM runing 8.0 latest. I removed google account, did soft Factory Data Reset from settings. Flashed TWRP with Odin. Flashed no-verity-opt 1.0 with TWRP. Flashed latest Magisk with TWRP. Rebooted. Installed Magisk manager app/apk.
1) So, I guess.. I missed making the "system/ROM" backup with TWRP. Right?
2) I'd like to just use TWRP to flash a stock, latest samsung ROM file [from a legit/official site]. Would this work/be proper?
-If so, after that would I need to flash the magisk .zip again [because it's a root that's located on the "system", right?] ?
3) Also, before flashing new ROM, I should always wipe data, cache, dalvik, system and internal storage, to have a clean, safe install, right?
4) Is there a "Stock Recovery" in a Stock ROM that's going to cause an problem/try to overwrite TWRP by trying to do this?
*I don't mind starting at the beginning, flashing the stock ROM with Odin, and starting from there with TWRP, magisk etc etc again, if that's the proper or safe or thorough way to do it. But I didn't think people used Odin to flash ROMs much anymore, do they*.

Ans of no 2) No, u can't flast any legit official stock ROM using TWRP. U have start from the beginning with flashing official stock firmware through odin. Then if u want root again, u need ro flash TWRP using odin. Then no verity, Magisk etc etc from TWRP like first time u rooted.

So, TWRP only safe to flash "moded" ROMs, which I guess are also modified to be safely flashed from custom recoveries?

U have to backup apps data using titanium backup & restore them after installing new rom.

U definitely have system. U might went to any other option than backup. And if u can't find system partition then check✔ mark backup all the partitions going to backup option & take backup.

No need to backup system image.
Exactly I don't know any use of backing up system image. But I guess system image is used to make flashable stock rom zip file.
can you put your backup data to your PC?
Yes, u can copy to PC or in a cloud storage after taking the backup to internal phone storage or microsdcard or in an OTG Drive. But u can't restore directly from PC.

Which backup u r saying about?
To unroot(uninstall magisk modules) just flash(install) this file from TWRP: github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v21.0/Magisk-uninstaller-20201003.zip

Sorry to say, I don't know any way to save ur data in this situation. U can try hard reset or flash firmware to get back ur phone booted to system normally.

Try 1by 1. First try XUI. According to the users feedback XUI is the best. Anyway every custom ROMs has some bugs.

system image is part of stock firmware & system backup is backup from a custom recovery which can be restored from recovery mode & system image has to flash using pc.

Is there enough free storage space available to save the backup file? Generally 1-2gb free storage required to save ROM Backup depending on different phones.

But it will increase the backup file size significantly.

U may have to sing in to google accounts. And u can backup & restore whatsapp messages within whatsapp settings.
