Don’t tick the Skip MD5 generation option, as this ensures the integrity of your backups and guards against errors when restoring them

Folder problem when you want to see or copy the backup TWRP folder to External SD or PC...and the solution.
After backup my phone, i wanted to copy the TWRP folder (with the backup) from internal memory to SD Card or PC, to save space and to be safe. The problem was that phone unrecognised the folder, it just show a file named TWRP with 0.00Kb in "My Files" inbuild app...neither to delete it. No results.Using USB cable, the PC wasn't even seen it near the other folders like Alarms, DCIM, Music, Movies ...
I know that Teamwin recovery have buildin file manager but i was unable to copy neither ....
I installed Root EXPLORER that saw correctly the folder and files, and i was able to copy on my SD Card and delete the folder from internal storage.

Thanks Max for the very informative and even entertaining video! I messed up my Zuk Z2 Plus trying to factory reset because of a WiFi issue and now I'm stuck in the TWRP menu. :(
No matter what I do, whether selecting Recovery of any of my Backup Roms on hand in my internal storage or reinstalling zips of latest updates, (aicp_z2_plus_n-12.1-NIGHTLY-20170922.zip) after it reboots it brings me back to the main TWRP menu without the typical ACIP logo displaying and oc loading as I'm accustomed to seeing. I'd don't believe the phone has been bricked but just stuck in limbo and completely useless. I'm desperate for help with any suggestions. Thanks

if you restore the backup without Wipe options, your data and ROM should be just the same. If I ran wipe data and restored backup I just had a fresh Custom ROM that I had backed up even happened to me once I forgot to wipe before restoring my stick ROM backup over Superman ROM and all my apps off Superman ROM was also in my recovered Stock ROM backup after recovery

Hey, I have a question, maybe for you it's stupid one that any advanced android user should know but im not, so here's my question, This backups only the ROM? and if it does so, when i restore it, will i lose all the apps that i have installed since the backup? because, if it doesn't delete them what happens if my android bootlooped or bricked because of an app that with backup won't delete? how can i repair it?

What are kernals? Just rooted my note 3 everything worked fine but didn't like the rom my s pen didn't work. So i did a recovery to my stock rom and it gave me errors unfortunately all my apps are not working.

Hey Max! I have problem backuping my data. When i start backup, it backups system very fast and then it gets to backing up data then it goes to 50% and after that it stops. I've waited like 15 mins now and it didn't move from 50%

Why have you only backed up the main two options in twrp? I made a backup exactly as you did so I unclicked the option for efs. I'm just wondering what these other options are though and if I might need them later?
A rooted phone isn't stock any more, is it? Surely rooting means that what you are backing up, and any subsequent restore will include the root mod??? Is there no way to do this with Odin or some other tool on the PC to get 100% stock as it was the day the phone left the factory?
