McGeoch. Their most iconic work was done while he was on guitar. Kaleidoscope, Juju, A Kiss In the Dreamhouse........

Imo, their best line-up with John McGeoch on guitar, Siouxsie Sioux later said "John McGeoch was my favorite guitarist of all time. He dealt with sound in an almost abstract way. I loved the fact that I could say, "I want this to sound like a horse falling off a cliff," and he would know exactly what I meant.“ RIP John McGeoch

Saw them twice in 1985 in the SFX Dublin and once in Munich late 80's but as much as I love the banshees there is always a rawness to the early years that cannot be replicated. This performance and another on the German show Rockpalast encapsulate the pure tingling euphoria that were the Banshees. Thanks for posting such a treasure. Everything about this performance is just perfect, setlist, visual and sound just so uniquely superb. Acknowledgment must also be given to the unsung heroe Severin whose bass lines were always so appropriate and flawlessly delivered. We were all lucky to grow up in such a golden era, wealthy we were not but we were rich in so many other ways!

The first three guitar players were all amazing even if one may have stood out the most to a lot of people. Severin thank god was always there!

I suspect she was mimicking Siouxsie's look in the "Arabian Knights" promo video & that's why the camera panned to her during that song. The Banshees were a truly formidable studio band & live band at this time. I remember watching this on concert on tv, way back when it was originally aired & am sure that (Off the top of my head) "Night Shift" & "Voodoo Dolly" were also part of the broadcast & possibly other songs..

Siouxsie wrote the strings to 'Dazzle' on a toy piano. That's pretty impressive. Don't forget singers with bands often create the vocal melody over the chords they're given. Debbie Harry is another underrated co-songwriter. Yes, there are many pretty girls who are told to _sing what they're told to sing_ but there are others who are much more creative than they're given credit for.
