07 yeahh but we shouldn't be hearing all the conversion happening at a starport loud and clear like this i mean this could've been like a slightly distinct, distant loudspeaker voiced or something lol 😅 but hats off to this mod makers though and i wish they'd hire real voiceover actors for this someday or ai voice gets better 🙏
There are options to add radio effects to the voices, that you can tune for more hiss, clicks and distortion to your preference. Also you can adjust the volume to put them further in the background. He just has them loud and clear here for the video demonstration.
Yep-what EDCP said. Don't forget: you can customize almost everything for whatever experience you prefer. Very thoughtful of the creator to do that for us. Plus, I write so much custom dialogue that I want to hear it 😅.
Drinking game: every time you say "immersion" take a shot :D Jokes aside, these three videos have been useful to see how to set up EDcopilot and what it can do, might look into it myself sometime!
It did for me. I'd hit my endgame-I had all the ships I wanted, all the engineering I was interested in, FC, I was now bored. This lit changed the game for me.
Is there a way to make it use DirectX 12 becuz it's giving me warning that it requires OpenGL 2.0 but i have 1.6 or something and my drivers are up to date or maybe it's only detecting my generic graphics card's OpenGL so is there any line which detects and sets the graphics card in it's INI files or something! 07 🙏
The UI is written using Kivy, which requires OpenGL 2.0 ... i sont see any way around this other than to see if you can find a graphics driver that supports OpenGL 2.0, sorry.
EDCoPilot shouldnt have any impact on the game whatsoever. It passively reads the game journals etc. You do know the game can crash on its own, right? :)
I'm using a female co-pilot voice (the one that sounds like the women from NASA) and she says "dash" instead of "minus" when giving planet temperature -- which sounds "off" If that can be modified at some point this user would be most appreciative. Thanks for the mod nonetheless.
Love the EDCopilot, but it interferes with Voice Attack, HCS, well, mine does anyway. I call it Gremlin soft! I have had it Jettison all my cargo while touching down at a station, put my ship in Attack mode, send my ship into forced jumps. All the fines and headaches do not out weight the good. It's funny but Buggy. I want it to work really bad/good but it sick of getting fined and loosing cargo money.
Was the first "SHIP 2" using the Portuguese accent? Hearing that was SO WEIRD to me, it almost sound like someone talking gibberish in Portuguese, while also making complete sense...
@@Aliamus_ I agree. Thats why I keep the 'use non-english voices' option turned on. It's a big galaxy. People should sound different IMO. ( I mean, it's like that rn on this planet anyway)
This is horrible. Those voices don't sound natural at all but very robotic. Would drive me insane if I had to listen to that in-game. Not sure how an audio engineer can be this enthusiastic about something this bad. People don't speak like this and it is completely immersion breaking to me.
Man, shots fired. Ok, it's not that serious. Hmmm, I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything about voices sounding natural and not robotic. 🤔 But, having played ED for so long, this fills a void for ME that makes MY experience immersive. I hope that's ok with you. The beauty about life is that you have a choice, so please choose not to use this program. 🤭
The OP uses non-English voices speaking English phrases, which gives a more non-natural feel and mis-pronunciation. The native language voices sound more natural, and the idea is to blend the Space Chatter more into the background while you play. But the app lets you pick the voices you prefer for your regularly used characters.

Another option you can control. 😉
@@SonicEmbassyRandomAccess -- I think it adds to the realism / immersion.
@@Tamburello_1994 It may add realism but its not that loud in real life so a great thing that the volume can be adjusted :)

Co-pilot is so useful for exobio, tells you when you've moved far enough for the next sample and estimates of payout. Aboslutely brilliant program.
😂
If you do it every time I say 'love' you may die. DON'T!!!!
@@robl6291 Yep. I can't/won't explore without it now.
love it

Bio Waste....haha Yep. love just listening to it . Some great stuff. Plenty of thought gone into this.
lol I actually have several of interactions like that I've dubbed: 'the Monster Dump series'. lol

I tried it and just didn’t like it especially when it caused the game to crash. Game runs fine without it but with it just crashes

Crash is from something else. I have NEVER had a crash from EDCP in over a year of use. :-/

you can change it yourself using entries in the pronunciations.txt file. YT keeps removing my reply, so contact me elsewhere
it is possible to do yourself, but i cant post it here because YT removes it
