Best line of the show; "it's body plan doesn't make sense." Considering the typical Australian fauna, that's rich.
Haha its body plan not making sense actually makes sense
Nothing here in Aussie makes sense 🤣🤣🤣
Aussie Humors
Obviously they never have seen a Platypus or an Echidna; which.lays eggs too...
People of that beautiful country !!!
Respect and protect the beautiful nature from the greed of all mining companies, from the greed of unscrupulous people who have no feelings about the fauna and flora of this continent. We must stop this! This is happening all over the world, and with the modernization of today's world, everything is going to be irretrievable many times faster !!.
Both my wife and I have seen a yowie, possibly 2 of them at our property some 50 klms west of Kempsey NSW last year at about 10.30 am on a bright sunny day. So the establishment who fails to fully investigate are being a false representive of their profession and therefore have no credence in making any negative statement.

@TheOnebigmick that isnt a yowie thats a werewolf or a dog man stay away from that sucker.
@TheOnebigmick those have been reported globally.
@TheOnebigmick did it have canine legs the knees bent backwards?
@TheOnebigmick thats crazy either way i have no idea what any of these things are
Bigfoot is real but most Australians elaborate 🤣🤣🤣
I claim the skeptic is a hoax his representation here doesn't prove his existence.
Hes a possum!
News flash... beating on trees like a fool and whoops dont work. Smh
Evidence is needed, these over dramatised stories hold no weight.

The guy takes a serious scientific approach to this subject
There on the endangered species list. Your in trouble if you grad 1. That's why we don't see true evidence. Just like there had been very tall race of humans.. they want that 1 to under wraps. Plus, no one can prepare themselves for what you see and feel when you encounter Bigfoot, yowie, Sasquatch, Yeti.
Funnest guy at the party!
I wanna see the car with elbow dents on the roof. You would hold onto evidence like that one would think?
Eye witness testimony is not good evidence. Our eyes see and our brains fill in the gaps
Yeah, you would be an non-believer and a skeptic until you had an encounter yourself and then everyone will say the exact thing you said to those who seen them
There's so much unexplored in Australia, is creepy to imagine what kind of creatures could be hungry just waiting in the bush!!
And in the water
Bushfires woulda flushed out anything big by now. Koalas are nearly done for.
the sound at 28.40 through to 28.53 is the call of the Green Catbird (Ailuroedus Crassirostris). It is an Australian Bird of the Bowerbird species found in subtropical forests along the eastcoast of Australia. A very unique and unusual call.
Exactly
...and these didnt know this ? Bushmen ?...I was going to say just more hopeful bs but we now know the Yowie is real....they've been running Oz for the last 2 years.
The ridiculous music makes a mockery of this topic and the witnesses look like idiots. The existence of these beings is not in question and the only question is why have they made this topic a joke for all these decades. What are they trying to hide?
The truth!!!!
I saw a yowie when I was sixteen on a school Duke of Ediburgh Award camping activity. We didn't extinguish our fire but because it was night we left our big cooking pot on the ground next to it and it was scraped empty by something that wasn't a pig or a cow or a kangaroo. We heard a clatter and could see through the fog by the glow of the fires embers. The pot was thrown aside from next to the fire by a big animal standing erect. It was near the Clarence River in the area near Paddys Flat, north eastern NSW. I woke up at the same time as a few other kids, all yelling, and it loped off at speed into the lantana! It wasn't a possum. I still find the memory of it surreal. 35 years later.
Thank you for sharing. As a Boy growing up in the New England area, similar experiences have occurred to us in our area. I have never seen a clear sighting, glimpses and the Stink, enough to know they are there. My Grandfather, R.I.P. worked most of his life as a Rural Contract Fencer, they had on occasions, the previous days work ripped out of the ground and pelted into the bush like Matchsticks. Heavy Ironbark split posts, they were heavy alright, I helped to split them on School Holidays. What ever can rip an Ironbark post out of the ground and pelt it a fair distance, it would not be smart to be near. Two other occasions they had some of their Tools and Gear pinched, the second time they stopped leaving it out. He told me some of it was found a year or so miles from where they went missing. If someone stole it, they would take it to use it, not take it miles away and throw it in the Bush, Quite a mystery.
Crikey. I've camped and walked around that area many times.
uhhhhhhh... I plan on camping there with mates by the end of the year.... YIKES....
I used to live on Old Glen Innes Rd out past Waterview Heights behind Grafton. I was always alone at night due to my ex husbands work. It's pitch black out there no streetlights, we had motion sensor lights. In the night you could hear something moving around the house and the lights would go off. I heard noises out there like I've never heard before or since. It was creepy I'd lay on the bed with the rifle next to me. I am not easily frightened but it was a little scary I felt like I was being stalked.
Ok so: "I saw a yowie"
a second later "Well it was night nd we were staying in our tents"
Nice tale. Why do all "bigfoot encounters" have to be made up, lies and/or missidentification.
I wish there was 1 genuine person who could proof me wrong, but well u cant change facts and fiction.
The Yowie seems more aggressive then Bigfoot just from what I’ve seen on them.
Yowie is a Bigfoot, they might be different species of the Bigfoot though probably more aggressive.
The Yowie tends to be a territorial creature, bashing rocks together for communication. It's actually been experienced a few times.
There are various types of Yowies according to the aboriginies , and most of them are aggressive and had wars with the natives hundreds of years ago.
The small ones can also be quite aggressiive.
Aussie Bogan bigfoot.
Who cares which fairy tale is more aggressive? It's all imagination lmao
Ive done a bit of bushwalking up around Springbrook.....have had some very hair raising on back of neck experiences and trekked through some places that felt i just should not have been.
In my 70 years, I spent much of my teenage years and up to mid 30’s wandering the bush and have seen signs of thylacine in the Kurrajong (NSW) area, before it was cleared of the early farming region.
I hope the Tasmanian 🐯 is out there still
@Ken Fullman it was a kangaroo mate, there is no big foot.

@@alexknox1596 multiple sightings of thylacine have been reported between Perth WA, and Wooraloo Meat Factory, up in the hills, with one report from a woman I know, plus another going the opposite direction, in July 1999, and about 5.30am.

He even claims to be a photographer and was earlier taking pictures of the stars . Sooo where was the camera to take pictures of the car??

My thought was of pics too. Just to see what any damage looked like.

Rob Sullivan so you’ve had an encounter? Care to share?
The cat noise mate, is the call of the female Satin
Bower Bird. Or cat-bird, as I know them as, because of the cat-like sound. I was brought up in that same type of country.
Anything is possible, a lot of people dont believe cause they dont want to open there minds to what could be possible. I was not here at the beginning of time so my mind is open to what maybe out there in our wonderful countryside

Lmfao Isaac.
How right you are 😆
I thought it's pronounced Briz-bin
Isaac Smits I say Briz-bin 😉
You are kiwi obviously
Out of all the bipedal creatures i have the most belief for the yowie... not only because im Australian but because it makes more sense. A lot of Australia is inhabited and very vast... the aborigines have been telling stories about it for hundreds if not thousands of years. I personally have had an experience which I cannot explain, a call or a yell from something i have never heard before and i have been living in my area for a long time and have slowly learnt the different calls from animals in the area
they use to live in the woods behind my house! I am in a rural neighborhood.
To be honest there's probably more sightings of the yowie than other types of bipedal creatures from other countries.
Everywhere in the world they are seen from germany poland russia finland sweden denmark china vietnam etc etc i've found bronze sasquatch/yowie statues in various churches in europe aswell i spoke to people from australia and north carolina with foto's of them on their properties explaining the same behaviour like gifts etc. They are just as real as u and me.

I've seen a bigfoot
I live with bigfoots

i think there all blue mushie hunters
Corn is fattening
I think the best chance of finding these things are with Military UAVs or reconnaisance aircraft. They got equipment that can lock-on to heat sources hooked to infra-red camera. And they should make such search during the night and the plane flown at above 10,000 ft (so it can't be heard from the ground). I think these creatures are nocturnal so the best chance of finding it is at night. If such creature is out in the night, such plane would quickly lock on to its heat...would really expedite the search.
Hi mate, loads of reports of unmarked helicopters & SUV’s in and around many “severe” sighting areas. Many believe ( including me ) that the government are fully aware of the activity. cheers H
@@electroman65government’s around the world have to be aware of these things (big foot, sasquatch, yetis, yowies) but they have a vested interest in keeping public knowledge them under wraps. just like aliens.

Spoken to several elders who laugh and say the aboriginals arrived and took the land off the “hairy man” but “white people” don’t want to admit their existence so the aboriginals take advantage of their naivety..so according to that this guy should have spoken to the yowie itself 🤔🤔🤔
Because they pass on their history by the 'Chinese Whispers' methodology

I know they exist but have never seen one. But I have heard things when I've been camping . I also used to live in the blue mountains area in North Katoomba. There was plenty of local stories about hairy men and our parents and friends and neighbours used to warn us about going walking in the bush without supervision
Hairy men? It was probably just Robin Williams or Rachel Maddow on a cocaine rampage.

RRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I live in Brisbane and always drive threw Kilcoy wasn't the Yowie supposed to bring tourists to the area so the Kilcoy area can expand their small country town. This is what I heard when I was living in Kingaroy not far from Kilcoy. It's a scam for more tourists.
Kilcoy, famous for Yowie sightings, last sighted 1979, wow, a real hotbed of Yowie activity.
@Daryl Halliday Right, so some douchbag put up the statue because the locals don't like publicity, really?
Lol
There are better people in Australia to have interviewed about the yowie , like Rex Gilroy probably Australia's leading expert on the subject. Or the Dean Harrison and the guys from yowie hunters, these guys make it seem like a joke
Yowie, bigfoot, sasquatch, yeti, etc...aren't real. If they were to ever get an actual body and only then I'll believe it. You're an Aussie, so what's your take on the Tasmania Tiger (thylacine) still being alive (supposedly)? That's something I find interesting and would be pretty neat if they were, but sadly the bush fires you all are having could've wiped out the small group out if any were alive, and that's a damn same. Cheers from USA
@@mikebrooks1620 the Tasmanian tiger is possibly still alive but in very small numbers. there are reports of them in the blue mountains west of sydney as well. Beyond the blue mountains there is millions of square kilometres of unexplored and hard to reach if you're human forests. It's highly likely there are many undiscovered creatures that live there. There are also reports of black Panthers as well, interestingly there is a major football club called Penrith Panthers , they may have based their mascot on the reports of mysterious black cats in the area at the time ( 1960s)
Mike Brooks Also it isn’t that crazy to think that there is an undiscovered species of ape that is still lurking around in uninhabited areas. Forget the name of it but there was a 10+ tall primate that lived up to as recently as 10,000 years ago. What if that is the Bigfoot or yeti or yowie
@@mikebrooks1620 there are way too many similar stories around the world and footage good and bad together with structures and prints, that prove there is something on many continents that show a type of bipedal being. The natives from these lands have even confirmed their ancestors saw the same creatures.
My brother in-law is a ranger . Apparently it’s common knowledge amongst them that yowie are real
I heard that the Yowie is a type 2 Bigfoot like a Florida Skunkape.
They seem to be more aggressive than the type 1.
Like Patty..
That was filmed in 1967..
The skeptic guy is making me cringe. His explanations are too convenient. A lot of sightings are by people who never wanted to see and experience what they did. This includes people who hadn't heard of the terms 'bigfoot, sasquatch, yowie, yeti or yeren' before their encounter. It also doesn't account for the fact that a lot of stories are very consistent. For example: the sound of rocks being smashed together/rocks being thrown or the whoops and the very loud growling noises. Opossums don't fit that profile. Even as an example, that was weak and laughable.
He is skeptic, he is trying to disprove it and come up with rational logic but to be it is the same old story that these skepical scientist do, they never go out and look even if their are hair samples and good evidence, he never encounter it, wait until the day he sees one, he would change what he said and change his world view, so they say eye witnesses ain't good proof of anything, people who actually seen what they look like but they say it isn't to inconclusive even though they got a face-to-face encounter? Okay then, you do you skeptic scientist guy, they never go out and do field research, they are too well safe and sound inside in their labs to do anything, just sometimes I laugh at these people, it is alright be skepical and be open-minded about these things but do not blatantly be a douche, gosh these people these day are very close-minded these day and heck even natives had encountered them and yet they say they do not exist or not enough substantial evidence, they said the same thing about giant squids, gorillas and such, Australia as loads of strange and wonderful looking creatures and yet Yowie too much to believe then all the other strange creature in the land down under? so yeah
Yeah, agreed but science is subjective, we do research and disprove existence of something but once something like that would change what we know about such, science and nature are more stranger than fiction and we barely scratch the surface of it like we barely scratch the surface of what lives on our lands and seas, we focus more on space then on our own planet and these scientists choose not to investigate these things, there are two types of people, the astronomers and the astronauts, the scientists are the astronomers while the adventures are the astronauts, so yeah
@@bradwhite5884 I would have liked to have him in the front seat of p/u when one of those nonexistent creatures threw a nearly 20 pound boulder through the windshield. After that I rigged up my video recorder to record my back country explorations. Before that happened, I was skeptical about their existence, now I believe there is something in the mountains that is big , easily annoyed and can get a little violent if crowded. Even though I was not intentionally crowding it.
Yeah rational logic straight out of book!!! Ignorance is the new norm. I bet he couldnt survive out bush for 2 weeks
@@rona8684 Surviving in the bush for two weeks is easy try it for a month like we did in survival training. Had one walk through our camp one night. Way up behind warragamba dam. Back in the 70s.
Here in the kimberley we have our local yowie who has always had good interactions with the local towns folk sometimes he will race your car as you come back from fishing trip s from somewhere on the marsh one time I was fencing a big paddock that ran along the highway into town ,one night we had finished along run and was sitting in our old busted Toyota trayback with no windows at all , me and my worker was sitting in the rig trying to tune the radio in , I could hear something pushing through the speargrass or canegrass for a good half hour , and when it stopped I looked through the rear of the cab and seen this big bloke standing at the back of the tray , his hips where at the top of the tray as i went tell my mate , without panicking he walk right up to the passenger door and had his elbow on the top of the roof , and lent down and in , well my mate didn't see it intil I poi to it and we both l9o direc into its big face , my mate try to jump straight out of the front through where the windscreen was supposed to be ,i grabbed him and pulled him back in and made him sit , as the yowie was standing there a foot or two outside the door looking at us stuck in the Toyota, as I sat him back i grabbed the steering wheel and leaned forward and just stared talking flat out and making out we couldn't see him there ,he just stood there looking at us for a few seconds after the commotion he was probably enjoying the scene , then he just walked to the front of the car and stood there listening for awhile for cars that might be coming down the highway into town when he went he got about fifty yards away and then snapped the thickest wattle tree ,that gave out a crack louder then a bloody gun , well that was enough space for me to get out and spray the motor with start ya bustard spray in the old worn out diesel motor , and that's why we didnt just start up and take off the first time he peeped in the windows a few inches from my mates face I got back to my camp and made the biggest fire I have ever made and even cooked a feed for the yowie and left it on the bloody gatepost for him so he didn't come into camp ,true story , no one to tell it to , people around here have seen him many time s and just accept him ,

My father in law in 1994 was an elder from kukuyalanji tribe from up in cape york way. He hated alcohol and drugs. He was a really nice old fella about 65 years old then. He would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed help. He was a minister or preacher for the seventh day adventists and truly believed in god and the ten commandments. He was a humble man and never lied or boasted about anything and I really respected him. He has passed away now but he told me very earnestly about a moment he was driving up near kuranda in the atherton tablelands. He was working for Queensland Railways and was going to pick up a few workers from a small community called Mona Mona. it was about 5A.M. He said he was a very long way from any civilisation when he came around a corner and the headlights of his troopcarrier hit on a large hairy man standing in the middle of the road. He said it was much larger than a very big man. It was covered from head to toe in long orange fur.when the lights from his truck hit it, it ran from the road up into the dense scrub and disappeared. I have talked to many people around this Cairns region since then and I am amazed at how many people tell me they have seen short thin hairy men, huge yowies etc. I have talked to old Aborigines around mossman etc and they all shrug their shoulders when you mention them and say "yeah mate, we know about them, our elders told us about them long ago". My old father in law also showed me a spot up near herberton where gravity does not work like normal. I saw for myself that water runs uphill and I even parked the car on the hill and took all brakes off. The car rolled up the hill with the motor off. I wouldnt have believed it myself unless I had seen it and I am a structural engineer.I plan to go back there one day with a digital level and confirm what I saw.

I'd be interested to hear old SceptiCamp give us a run down on Min-Min lights, we've seen them crossing the Nullabor a few times but no
Yowie's live out there unfortunately, No trees to hide behind. LOL (I believe they exist)
I've seen Min Min lights out of Kalgoorlie. My dad used to swear he saw a Yowie when he was a young bloke out camping with friends. He thought it was a Gorilla until he saw the long human like legs.
I was camping in the Tasmanian wildness I heard what sounded like a large two leg animal outside my tent. I doubt it was human I was well of trail it was a dark night and no light. I was so scared I could not even pick up the gopro to record the sound. I am use to animal sounds this was nothing like heard before at night.
Wonder if this skeptic has ever been out in the field? I seriously doubt it.
One does not need to go out into the field in order to know that Yowies don't actually exist. Therefore, miss, a trip to the field would be a waste of one's time.
Just a dude in a costume
@@conalcochranh3274 pretty bold claim, you have searched every inch of this country yourself have you?
I've spent the better part of my life in the woods either camping, fishing, hunting, horse trail riding, atv trail riding, hiking and you want to know how many times I've seen a 5-9 ft. tall 200-600lbs. ape man in the wilderness... zer0! I've been in forest and mtns in the middle of nowhere and never seen a single unknown creature, and if you are going to see a creature it's while you are on horseback, because the horse treads so quietly and the smell of the horse throws off the human scent and confuses animals. I've seen pretty damn every animal in the forest while trail riding on horseback, but never seen a giant ape. I've had weird things happen, but sure it had nothing to do with bigfoot, yeti, yowie, sasquatch etc... but believe whateve you want to.
THANK YOU SUZIE!! So true and a huge pet peeve of mine.. they decide everything from their office! Reminds me of a quote from Indian Jones 4... if you want to be a good Archaeologist you need to get out of the library
Yowies love mangoes I seen baby yowies swinging from Mango tree to mango tree I was like 3 years old I've been told there's been a lot of Yowie sightings from glass house mountains to Gympie and Maryborough
2017 I believe it was scientists discovered a new type of orangutan, following information that locals had always known. So to say that such big things in remote locations are just impossible is very narrow thinking. Yes be a skeptic but don't throw out possibility from your thinking.
I live in the Grampians Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
And every now & then I get A sickining stench for about 5 mins
Then goes away
It’s not normal

The Algos might take that seriously lol
In Australia I was aboriginal my ancestors saw the Yowie the Yowie take child and people to there cave and eat them or truth
I've never seen one myself (I live in the Blue Mountains, though it's a pretty urban area overall), though having listened to almost all witness reports on Yowie Hunters Radio, I don't doubt that 9/10 of these people are telling the truth. It's hard to fake the emotion and the detail in these accounts. But each to their own.
Hey Maddy! I should have known I'd see U here.... Pretty interesting stuff, but I like what the native American Indians say about their Bigfoot- some of them say they're "not of this world entirely"- so no one will ever catch one...they can go to different dimensions some of them say.. like we used to once..
i used to slept one night without a tent in Leura forest.
yes i agree, BM is pretty urban area.
@@zator3687 Wow, you're braver than me haha
@@cheremichael367 Oh my goodness Chere! I only just saw this comment, three months late haha. Yeah who knows? When I start to think that they're purely a physical being, something happens that makes me think they're not. There's so much that I don't think we'll ever know
@@made-line7627 You are right, as long as science deny's that they exist, we will never know where they truly come from. To the Native Americans in my area, the big hairy man is all too real, nothing metaphysical about them. They live in family groups like some of the great apes do, when you see one, they are trying to divert your attention away from the family, to protect them. They will throw big rocks to small boulders at you, none are meant to hit a person, just scare them out of the area. Too bad those few who want to study these creatures are ostracized by main stream scientist. Who knows, maybe we could learn something from how they live in tune with nature.
Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, and most of all, enjoy the upcoming weekend.
People talk about cultural appropriation these days, how about cultural denial. Yowie's are part of Australian Aboriginal culture. I believe and respect that.
Where is the skeleton proof ?.
There should be skeleton remains laying around in places.
Gerard,
Tron, there are thousands of bears in the forest. Have you or any one else ever come across a bear skeleton? There are millions of animals in a forest at any given time, birds deer racoons squirrels and on and on, so shouldn't we be tripping over bones! Do some research on what happens to bones in the forest and how fast they disappear. Some people will need s body and bones to believe and others will just know what they saw and that's good enough.
Honest question, are they any convincing footages or other evidences out there?
Yes indeed, look for the Patterson/Gimlin Footage Stabilized video on youtube.
Patrick Bateman That’s for the Bigfoot! But thank you.
I meant especially from Australia
@@MuertaRara You do know a Yowie is a Bigfoot, just another name made from aboriginals.
Xezbeth i know that still we talk about two different continents. i know there are some video footages fron North America but never heard about something from Australia
@@blackBrad18 so they haven't been proved to exist, yet you know they are the same creature?

I'd love to help....

Bloody skeptics ! They won't go bush with me. LOL
So all these people are going out and seeing these creatures, and have lots of details about how the live, behave, eat etc but no one gets a decent photograph or video recording?! No bones or hair? No poo samples?!
Funny how we have massive bushfires here on and around the Gold Coast Hinterland yet it doesn't drive out any "Yowies".Havent heard any Rural Firebrigade members seeing any.....
The_Jaguar_ Knight doesn't mean he really saw anything.
@@hectorheath doesn't me he didn't either. As to why haven't rural fire service volunteers reported seeing anything......well....think of all the people who come out of the woodwork to attack you if you claim you see one. You are accused of being mentally ill, of being on drugs, of being drunk etc and a lot of people would not want their professional reputation smeared like that. No one wants to be known as 'that guy who saw a yowie' by his workmates. The standard response from skeptics to someone claiming to have seen something is to disprove, if they cannot disprove, they instead try and discredit/call into question the character of the witness.

Hector Heath couldn’t they just go the other way further into the bush 🤷♂️
With all the cameras in the world today why has no one ever got a good picture of one?
....or shot one, and I don't believe there is any unexplored wilderness left in Australia
I heard one in harvey w.a 15 years ago didn't see it but herd a load grunt and could tell it was huge and i was scared stiff turned around and ran for my car.most animals would turn and run I believe it thought i was going to drive past.Have hunted pigs deer roos and i new this was not normal having spent a long time in the bush i know what it was now
Wondering why you would interview an American woman about an Aussie Yowie...?
May I suggest folks watch "Hunting For Australia's Bigfoot (the Yowie)" with Isaac Butterfield. Yeah its a little over the top and contains crass Aussie humor, but I find the theory's interesting. As for this doco, I like the way its put together. My Dad was absolutely convinced that he once saw a Yowie when was young.
This stuff is no joke now we are finding out they are here in North America as well!!! Look up all the missing people that disappear In America’s national parks!! They disappear without a trace!!! And there is always mysterious circumstances every time a person disappears.. watch “missing 411” on UA-cam
That’s what I think they are The Missing Link, but we should leave them alone 👍

Anything with heaps of scrub and forest we as people have not been in there so when people say there is no such thing how do they no most people live in city
I remember walking home from fishing when I was 10 I had a couple of bream gutted and tied and strung on my shoulder and when I’m about halfway through the scrub I’m climbing up an embankment and I feel a hand grab hold of me and drag me and I get out my filet knife and I lash out and here a scream I get go and I turn around there’s this big black hairy animal with blood dripping from the wound running back over heel
Well I bolted and ran home ( still had my fish lol) and I’m terrified I’m convinced it was a yowie
This ray dohetry dude is a goober. Oh my god this tiny twig has been broken off the tree and is covered in mud, CRAZY definitely a yowi. We all know you brought that corn for yourself ray, not the yowi.
