The Chevrons indicate slower moving traffic in the adjacent lane and the car will modulate speed so that the difference in speeds between you and slower moving lane is more reasonable.

it might just be for the USA and Canada were you are allowed to overtake on the right side. Here in europe my TMX just brakes and matches speed of right lanes when it is at the rear byumper of the vehicle in the right lane (both in AP as well as in cruise control).

eMMC upgrade for free did some improvements. MCU 1 works on our three Model S cars so for us not worth the upgrade.

I was given the impresson that the MCU2 upgrade price takes into account trading in the old unit (which I understand they are still using for spares). Someone else (cannot recall who) did ask and was told fine but you need to pay extra to keep the old unit. Makes sense to me, when you get expensive parts on a car swapped they often keep the old unit as part of the deal to refurbish/strip for parts (Gearbox is an example)

In Australia 2024, the full MCU2 upgrade including the radio mod and dash screen is $3600, 3G is being switched off in June this year and my model s has MCU1 with 3G. I was hoping to only upgrade the MCU1 modem daughter card as I wanted to keep my perfectly working MCU1 and AM radio. Tesla AU stated the modem only upgrade is available in the US and EU only which is crap.
I will link up a 4/5G BT dongle to the MCU1 when 3G is phased out. I'm NOT paying $3600 for the MCU2 when it does not have AM radio.

I feel like Tesla should give an option of keep the previous OS version. owners are only forced to upgrade because Tesla "improved" the system so much that it is too complicated for MCU1. this is planned obsolescence and it's not right. sooner or later they will get in trouble with it. they only recently discounted the upgrade by $1000, and that was the only reason I decided to go for it. is it worth it? probably. but to make the customers upgrade otherwise the infotainment is closed to being unusable is not right.

Tesla Canuck I do have MobilEye. I needed a second vehicle recently after having my X for almost 4 years. I settled on a Hyundai Palisade, as I do about 5000km / year, 12000km / year in the X, but I digress.
I felt like a traitor buying an ICE vehicle after telling everybody how good my Tesla was. Aside from the gut wrenching acceleration and the cavernous stowage my Tesla offers, the Palisade is feature for feature on par with the Tesla.
Mobileye was actually quite good compared to the earlier generation AP up until I would say a year and a half ago. I test drove a Model Y and a Model 3 recently and left feeling a void after experiencing the AP in those newer models.
My firmware updates are now relegated to another “fart” application or a “new” retro console game.

Example, the air suspension pump would NOT stop pumping. I got so afraid it was going to blow my suspension balloons because it wouldn't shut off.
The dash screen that has the speed, randomly shuts off and back on like it's a communication problem between the MCU and dash.
MCU2 at least as of late, is more unreliable than MCU1. It would NOT stop rebooting. I've had MCU2 for 4 days now and it's rebooted probably 15 times already.
Was playing beach buggy and that seems to have crashed and caused the MCU to reboot
The worst of it all, the service center DID NOT PUT THE SCREEN IN STRAIGHT! IT'S SKEWED AND IT'S SO ANNOYING
