watching this 3 years later, my 2018 Model S with MCU1 has most of the features you listed as new. I will say my screen is laggy when zooming in and out of the map but otherwise, its the same as your MCU2 features.
In Australia 2024, the full MCU2 upgrade including the radio mod and dash screen is $3600, 3G is being switched off in June this year and my model s has MCU1 with 3G. I was hoping to only upgrade the MCU1 modem daughter card as I wanted to keep my perfectly working MCU1 and AM radio. Tesla AU stated the modem only upgrade is available in the US and EU only which is crap. I will link up a 4/5G BT dongle to the MCU1 when 3G is phased out. I'm NOT paying $3600 for the MCU2 when it does not have AM radio.

Others have said the MX MCU2 upgrade on cars with HW3 installed makes both traffic aware cruise control as well as lane changes on autosteer operate more smoothly than before. Is this your experience also?
Some early 2016 Model X’s only have a front facing camera, so it depends on the hardware that is in a specific vehicle from that model year. If it has the full camera suite, front, side, and pillar, then, yes, it will change lanes like that. Cheers.
I feel like Tesla should give an option of keep the previous OS version. owners are only forced to upgrade because Tesla "improved" the system so much that it is too complicated for MCU1. this is planned obsolescence and it's not right. sooner or later they will get in trouble with it. they only recently discounted the upgrade by $1000, and that was the only reason I decided to go for it. is it worth it? probably. but to make the customers upgrade otherwise the infotainment is closed to being unusable is not right.
