Great intro to this. Thanks! I seem to be having a problem, though, that my photos are exposed for less time than what I set unless I include at least a 1 second Self Timer, plus an interval that's at least as long as the length of my shots plus one or two. None of the videos I've watched on the Shutterboss say anything about having to set the interval to take the shot length into account. Perhaps it's a setting on my camera (Canon SL3, 250D)?

Your camera should be on bulb. The time sets the shutter speed and the interval sets how long between each shot. Set your f/stop in the camera for the correct exposure. Same with the ISO. I hope this helps.

@@KathyAdamsClark Thanks, Kathy. Yes, I do all those things, but maybe I can explain a bit better. I made sure the drive mode is off, i.e., no delay from the camera itself. If I set no delay (Self), set an exposure of 10 seconds, and an interval of 0 second, the exposures the exposures all come out less than 10 seconds. The only way for me to get all exposures to 10 seconds is to set a 1 second delay, 10 seconds interval (exposure), and a 12 second delay. Otherwise, not all exposures are 10 seconds. Sounds weird, doesn't it? Must be a setting in the camera I'm missing.

@@gregerianne3880 There has to be a 1 second delay. I remember that from years ago. If you wanted one 10 sec exposure after the other, then I'd set the camera for 10 sec and then just use the Shutterboss as a remote. Lock that big switch up and the camera will take 10 sec exposures until the battery runs out. I've done that by mistake many times.

I had same issue with Sony a7iii and Sony a6500, my exposure times were not what I set and they varied from image to image. After reading the posts below, I put the camera in single shot mode and that fixed my issue. Hope this fixes yours!
