The SHOT bandit duro wires are so smooth you feel like when you wipe your hand over them, it feels like a dinner plate
One80 gladiator 3 is really good!
I bought a unicorn eclipse hd2 and I returned it immediately, I do 't know what happened to it but the wires weren't straight (very visible) and on one side they were sticking out too far and on the other side you couldn't even feel them, the number ring looked like a car ran over it. It didn't look like it was used before so I guess I just got a bad board (or a car might have actually went over it). It wasn't available anymore to re-order so I ended up buying the one80 gladiator 3+. It is my first darting experience so I can't compare how they perform (I didn't even throw at the unicorn) but the gladiator looked a lot better out of the box. I have read some reviews on the unicorn board and apparently I wasn't the only one who received a bad board. Not sure if this is useful info, just my experience.
Gladiator 3 with metal unicorn number ring and Corona lighting for me. Makes me smile when I think of my previous boards and no lights

I would like to see a test from Simon Whitlock with his points from last WDC! This would be the ultimative test.
@@splash5544 Whitlock's points are horrendous, they ruin the treble in minutes, I'm surprised that nothing is done about it, surely his opponent can't be happy having to throw at the board which has been battered to death in just minutes.
I like the Winmau Blade 5, but recently had a bad board (buldging). I DO NOT use aggressive tips, burrs, ringed, etc, so there was honestly no reason for this to happen pre-maturely. Thinking of trying to Unicorn next.
“Even though your wires are a bit weird, and the double 18 was a bit wonky; but other than that it’s a good board” I had no idea why, but that had me giggling so hard I had to recompose myself before unpausing the video
For a firmness test would be good to see the 25 and bull on each dart board. I'm finding I get a lot of bounce outs in the Bull on the Blade 5 dual core. Mainly because of the way the inner bull is held in place, has a lot of metal sitting behind the ring.
I double this. I once had 5 bounce outs in a row on the bullseye on the blade 5 dc

I've got one80 and it's brilliant. My only problem with dartboards is they all look identical. Would be nice to see something unique or different
Great video yet again Jack! but it would be great to see how a standard blade 5 holds up. I’d say it’s the most common board about.
One80 Gladiator 3+ or Winmau Blade 5? Is there also a nice wallfix on the one80 Gladiator 3+ and which lasts longer? Does almost every dart stay in the Gladiator 3+ or are they falling out?
Just a thought - I think that Whitlock style point might be getting slightly worn and less aggressive due to all the previous testing conducted. This might explain how all the boards in thie batch performed much better than the previous. Great testing as usual. I'm torn between the Blade 5 and Shot Bandit.
It is amazing how a tiny burr on the point can easily rip out fibers. Goes to show how important tip maintenance is to board lengevity. I throw hard, and need a hard board as my barrels heads slightly bury in soft boards.
Would loved to have seen a graphic of all category rankings and a final ranking among all standings for all 8 boards. You split the selection by cost. Maybe also list cost by ranking.

I bought a unicorn hd 2 recently and sections were a more corky colour compared to the white colour in this video any reason? Was a brand new board as well

I’m thinking about getting a unicorn hd board what the PDC use , I’m currently still using my winmau blade 5 DC which has been a phenomenal board , very clean and crisp and almost 1yr on still looking great (bits of white showing through in places were I’ve hammered it with darts) the only thing stopping me going for a unicorn board is the fact my lighting system my oche and surround is all winmau and I don’t think my ocd could handle change 😫 it would really bother me and I don’t feel like shelling £200 out for a new rig up lol

My winmau Diamond Jack.with halo really nice.not too soft and got some staples to brace the board.the level fittings you get is a good bonus.but yes a beautiful board.my FREINDS blade 5 is allready shot to bits.but the diamonds like the old school winmau masters.whi I still GOT.lol

Winmau every time ( they last ). My unicorns purchases were disappointing to say the least , badley made ,. Bristles everywhere, mounting screw behind bull tooooo long, and a warning on the back saying machined points will spoil the board.
I dunno man I got a unicorn striker when I was stuck for a board and it was battered after only a week of playing...will defo buy the blade 5.

i recently bought the one80, i rotate it every day, and i have to say that i cant detect any signs of use after a month of 4 hour sessions almost every day. the only thing is that my dartpoints regularly go all the way in. so it can be a little softer at certain places
I dont know whats wrong with my board. Same one80 glad 3 , had it for almoat 2 months now, but the holes are very visible and the triple and double beds looked slightly scratched
Winmau Blade 5 is around £33 in argos - bargain! I'm using the one80 g3 which is superb.
I bought that today but im going to return it.

the datadart looks really poor condition out of the box my god, a non-centred bullseye is just unacceptable for a dart manufacturer
the bandit and the bulls are the same both from puma darts. look at the plastic around the board.

Gladiator 3 + is the one to get. My original Gladiator 3 started to lose it's spider after a while. (coming out massively) My friend got the + version and it's rock solid on his. Our bar then got the same one and it's good too. I got my + version 2 weeks ago, and so far so good. My old hd2 spider stayed put longer, but the wires bent out of shape more than the Gladiator.
Is the Gladiator 3 + on a180? Can’t find it and that’s the one I’m after

How does a healed board supposed to work? It's supposed to cover the holes back up in a minute or two?
When you hit, it goes back together when you remove dart. But it doesnt heal 100%!
You see that Shot Bandit Duro doesnt heal that much as other boards.
What a about a video on repointing darts. Recently broke 2 sets of darts cos points and don’t know how or if possible to fix them. Video be helpful
I got a blade 5 dual core for Christmas and after having a standard blade 5 for years I was disgusted with the quality... i play no more the 2 games of 501 and the board looked like it was a year old.. I got the company to send me a new board and got the 180 gladiator 3+ and honestly don't think ill ever go back to a blade 5 .
The unicorn being above the winmau and one80 is utter shite.but great video.

I used to get Winmau Blade boards until version 4 when I got a lot of bounce outs from one board and moved to Bulls Advantage which is an amazing board. It’s a more expensive board but lasts a lot longer than any board I have had and I’ve tried a lot. If your budget can’t stretch to a Bulls Advantage then I’d definitely go for a Winmau Blade 5. They’re amazing boards and great value for money plus you can pick them up very cheap from any Argos.
You can ruin any no,just turn the board once in a while
I just got a new G3+ board to replace a G3 that didn’t really need replacing. Great boards. My new one is a bit softer than my previous one. I also love that rotafix setup, once you have it totally level.
Winmau Blade 5 DC is the best
Been using the Unicorn Eclipse 1 for ten years, made the switch to the Winmau Blade 5 after seeing your last video and am loving it so far, the softness works really well for my throwing style.
You should see if you can get ahold of some old boards like the ones that used to be covered in staples and had super thick wires and see how they fare in comparison to modern boards!
I've just binned my old Winmau Diamond from the "Cliple" wire days in favour of a Blade 5. The Diamond seems to heal much better than the blade, either with an old set of 24g Bristow Harrows or 23g set of Daryl Gurney signatures
I love TDR, but the reviews are more entertaining than critical. Based on your location, prices and availability vary considerably, my next board is likely a G3+.
I'll never be a serious reviewer on here, I just don't find the videos enjoyable to film or watch
The more I watch, the more I worry. The country I live in is very expensive. We can't get a board and quality darts... Thanks to your advices

Nodor Superwire 2 is the one you should buy.
I have a hd2 that’s about a month old and it’s fine at the moment but I’m changing the points on my darts so I might have a different opinion in the next few weeks 😂
I like the HD 2, it gets a lot of stick because the pros batter them

Hi mate great vid, i have problem i thought u might be able to help with. i recently started playing darts again and my knee on my front led is killing after just 15 minutes into practicing, i think it may be beacuse of my stance, how can i fix this cuz its really stopping me from practicing, cheers!
Hi mate, it is something that does happen if you're heavy on your leading leg, it will get better over time, I had the same thing a couple weeks ago but it's gone now, same with your arm, it will ache to start but once your body gets used to it, it will ease off

I took it off the Datadart board and put it on my other board, one of the numbers snapped off within 10 minutes, I'd buy the unicorn number ring if I were you, you can get them on their own 👍
Can’t believe people will pay the prices some manufacturers are charging, ridiculous. Winmau have ALWAYS made the best boards. Dual core is a bit of a gimmick. I use blade 5 standard and every now and then Argos sell them for about £25. Good video mind.

Winmau Blade range has stood the test of time. Unicorn quality has gone downhill, and marketing this HD nonsense is a gimmick. It was developed for clarity on tv, but when you're actually stood looking at the damn thing in real life, it makes no difference. I see everything in high definition, it's called having a pair of eyes.
Nice to see new brands entering the market. Those coming in at the lower price point should get a foothold. UKDA have chosen the Mission Samurai, so let's see how that goes when we finally get some Matchplay on again. For now, I'll stick with Blade 5 unless there's a significant change in price or quality.

Great reviews haha think I like the HD2 unicorn. Upgrading from a blade 5. I haven't changed from blades since a blade 3 and I do find them very soft. So the unicorn eclipse hd2 should be alot tougher. But does that code still work on the site?

I had 5-6 bounce outs in the first hour of using my new dual core but none since... that was 4 week ago
