Thanks for sharing the information, loved the honest and more importantly, correct content. Absolutely agree on the set top box scam. I got bombarded with calls from airtel when I tried to get more details on the set top box from them. Although every guy tried to sell it but all had very low knowledge on it, I myself have opted for just Broadband with out set top box. Fire stick is better any day when you honestly compare it with Airtel box. Requesting all to either wait for a more meaningful scheme from airtel or consider buying a andriod TV instead.

In my city Dehradun, new Airtel fiber net connection plan is costing additional 1000 for an activation fee. This is additional to the rental, installation fee and gst.

Hi, I am planning to take a new Airtel connection and had a few questions. Would be great if you could answer them
1. Does Jio still cap upload speed at 10% and does Airtel still give the upload speed with respect to the plan I take?
2. What company router does Airtel provide? Is it a Gigabit router with gigabit LAN ports? Model no.?
3. I have an existing WIFI 6 TP link router. Can I run Airtel fiber in it if I convert the fiber to LAN via a converter?
4. On the 1GBPS plan, airtel previously gave truly unlimited data but now is that plan also capped at 3333GB ?
5. Incase one exhausts 3333GB of data is there a new top-up plan by airtel? If yes, what is the speed and data?
6. I heard there is something called as Airtel Fiber Mesh where they give a Linksys Velop mesh router on taking a yearly plan. Could you provide some details on it?
7. Is the ping good? Is it like JIO between 5-10ms? What ping do you get on an average?
8. Lastly, which one would you recommend? Airtel or JIO?
If you want only router then take airtel fiber, if you want router+stb go for jio fiber

Jio has many restriction on their ont like bridge mode cant be enabled, portforwarding is not available etc etc which can be a dealbreaker for PC gamers or people who hosts servers

Yes only for fiber.. airtel is best.. but not so good with the set top box scheme untill n unless you recharge for dth every month
You covered almost everything. My case is: I already have a regular Airtel dth connection with around Rs.5k balance in it. Monthly deduction will be around 450+. Will the same connection be active even if I opt for Broadband+xtreme Box? If yes, then will OTT content be active on Xtreme Box even if I do not recharge monthly because I keep in advance around yearly balance in dth account and hate recharging it monthly.

one doubt bro plz answer, so if we have a smart tv which contains all the major ott apps, we can use them with own subscription and wifi, so we wantedly taken the airtel 4k stb with futuristic purpose then we are done recharge separately for ott apps in xtreme box then we can use the apps present in our smart tv, both are same apps, can we? basically can we use only channels by paying rather than ott pay included?

I am an airtel Fiber user and recently purchased xstream box..my 2 centa buy the xstream box only if you use both ott + the normal tv channels. Speed,Service wise whatever I have received is best till date for fiber connections .FYI already used Hathway and tikona here in Pune. Research and then order it might suit some users. As far as JIO goes m not sure about its availability it's still not available. And as far as firestick goes spent 2700 and it worked for 14 months now it's dead and after service is pathetic.

Sir Airtel store in Bangalore told you can get zero installation for 6 months of 499 plan. Does this varies from city to city?

Airtel is rapidly covering all the local areas by installing there DPs and fiber cable at where jio gigafiber is not available. Definitely jio is best in terms of price but its unavailable in maximum region.

Hey brother, love all your videos and that's why subscribed to you. I have a question and I hope you would reply. I am on a 999 plan with a speed of 200mbps. Is it possible to change the plans on the fly or I have to wait for the whole month to change the plans? Like I want to test a 1gbps plan, if I change the plan in between, will it get activated instantly? And say after a day or 2 I change the plan back to 200mbps from 1gbps. Will this work? Obviously the usage of 2 days 1gbps would be added in the bill. But if this possible?
Change instantly via my airtel app.. but after the plan is upgraded u have to wait for a month i guess to again change the plan to another

Bro as mentioned by airtel customer care they told we can use recharge of 153 which is minimum plan to continue for whole year and we will be eligible for refund
What all channels so we get with airtel linear recharge of 452 or so we have to pay separately for channels other than 452rs and if you want to use ott with live tv so we need to play 452+152=604rs or with 452 recharge you can get both live tv and ott

I think it's good because local venders charge nearly 600-700 for 30mbps 300gb net (copper wire) whereas you will get 40+Mbps speed 3333gb net (optical fibre cable) at 589 on airtel xtream fiber

I have been using airtel broadband with the 799 plan for the last 2 months. The download and upload speeds have never gone below 100mbps till now. I feel no other service provider gives such good service quality.
You forgot to mention that even for 3 months advance payment we get free installation.
I was about to get the XStream box by paying 1500/- but thanks to u I saved my money.

In my City, their is Wiring Charges of 1000Rs till 100 metres and then 8 Rs/ meter above 100 meter.
The activation fees (1000) is waved off for 799 plan.
