Game of Thrones - Ned's Promise And Jon's Parentage

- After so many years the theory of Jon Snow's parentage is finally confirmed. After being hinted, but not yet confirmed in the books, the show reveals that Lyanna Stark is Jon's mother. I put together these two scenes because I thought they fit well together, with Ned making his promise to Lyanna to protect Jon, and his promise to tell Jon who his mother is.
This scene with Ned and Jon is not in the books, but it's a great one with fantastic subtle acting from Sean Bean. With Ned's pained expression and cracking voice, it was almost like a confirmation that Lyanna was Jon's mother. Because as explained more in the books Ned really loved his sister very much, and he never liked to talk about her after she died because it pained him too much.
Must also add that it was great acting from Robert Aramayo, who plays Young Ned, in the Tower of Joy scene.

that edit from the baby to Jon's face gives me chills every time.. so many years of speculating and finally seeing it confirmed
I guess I'm kinda randomly asking but do anyone know a good website to stream new tv shows online ?
Honesly, Ned should've told Catelyn in private. Then she might have actually been a kind 'stepmother' to Jon
Egalmoth, you are alive!
exactly the two scenes I wanted to watch back to back awesome
You get a thumbs up just for your name
The first GoT post on a LoTR channel. Nice
And the last
The one non LOTR video on this channel. Lol. Great video!
lady Cat would really regret her not loving Jon not knowing that he is her nephew
Ned should have told her.
+SkyBlueAugust he made a promise and he kept it
Yes = the promise was to protect the child.
I think Ned didn't want to risk making Cat loving the child too much, the wife of the honorable loving a bastard child so much, might have caused for unnecessary attention from others.
We're all human. Oh, we all do our duty when there's no cost to it.
Honor comes easy then. Yet, sooner or later in every man's life there
comes a day when it's not easy. A day when he must choose.
If the day should ever come when your lord father was forced to choose between honor on the one hand and those he loves on the other, what would he do?
Tell me, if your precious Renly commanded you to kill your own father
and stand by while thousands of men, women, and children burned alive,
would you have done it? Would you have kept your oath then?
Stark? You think the honorable Ned Stark wanted to hear my side? He
judged me guilty the moment he set eyes on me. By what right does the
wolf judge the lion? By what right!?
“Robert's Rebellion was built on a lie. Rhaegar Targaryen never kidnapped my Aunt Lyanna, or raped her. He loved her. And she loved him. And Jon...Jon's real name...(his name is Aegon Targaryen....) He’s never been a bastard. He’s the Heir to the Iron Throne.”
💜💜
I think they should've gone with Aemon.
Finally you posted! :D
That’s not Boromir. 😂 All jokes aside this is the first scene I’ve ever watched for Game of Thrones.
