- Second visit at the Stunt And Wheelieschool, but this time we do wheelies with a KTM Duke 390! And hopefully we won't crash during wheelies anymore.
In this video we go back to the Stunt and Wheelieschool from Jeremy Vonk. We brought our own bikes (KTM EXC500, Suzuki DRZ and Husqvarna FE501) and also tried the KTM DUKE 390. The Stunt And Wheelieschool has been started by Jeremy Vonk, Jeremy Vonk is an official KTM stuntrider who rides his stuntbikes for a living. And now he started the school to learn other people how to do wheelies and other stunts as well! The school takes place at Weeze Airport, Germany. Close to the Dutch and German border.

What size is that rear sprocket on the duke 390? It looks larger than stock
Maybe helpful, but weird af. Learn it slowly, and try not to fall down. and even when this happens (and it will :D) don't give up.. you don't need a wheelie machine.
Yeah, this machine won't let you learn to balance properly because there is no side motion. The absolute best way is to get a trials bike. They're a lot easier to fall off of and the light weight helps you learn balance without trying to tame an elephant. Also, I don't know why everyone tries to learn wheelies on the street. The street is hard and it hurts. Learn on the grass, so much easier and forgiving!

Just when your front tyre is about quarterway to hit the ground pls do abit of throttle so it won't damage the suspension.It hurts me seeing how they stop immediately after a wheelie.My gosh

Just practice.. I´m still practicing and just fell the first time. It hurted like hell, but I knew it would happen one day and I know it will probably happen again, but still - I´ll Keep on practicing until I reach my Goal of endles platescaping ^^

@@2009nor to be honest I wasn't looking at the tachometer I'm just trying to get used to the feeling if popping the front wheel up for a second as of now one I'm used to it I'll try to hold the wheelie
is your duke Stock??
@@mikezeyab it was not stock it had a coober piggy back ecu, a full exhaust, coober air box lid. I would highly recommend going with a good tuner if you do a piggyback ecu. I bought my 390 used with 7500 miles and with all the mods already on it. I never checked the tune out and at 14k miles it snapped the crank in half and destroyed the motor. It had oil had coolant so all I could think of is a bad tune.

To do a wheelie are you just holding the clutch in getting the rpms high and then dropping it?
Thats called a clutch up and its how you initiate a wheelie on a lower capacity bike that doesnt have the power to wheelie via pure power.

I guess you never did a proper wheelie, Brayden. Bad habits are hard to correct, you can only do it with hard learning and money - because you are going to crash until you can do it right. A wheelieschool gives you a good feeling about the balance point and the brake. 250€ for a day, or maybe 1000€ for new rims. You can choose.
BTW: I never visited a wheelieschool

What gear/rpm/rolling speed is best to wheelie with the Duke 390? Anyone?
Brandon Covington i do mine on first gear, when going around 17-20mph on the first gear at about 7k revs I just pull the throttle all the way down and lean back and it wheelies Xd just have to make sure I don’t hit the Rev limiter because the engine will cut out
I find second gear clutch ups on the 390 it’s best place. Around 20mph pop it up.

Supermofools huh hard to believe ,then you guys should try doing slow wheelies 1st gear (like on dirt bikes) ,it's pretty hard but maybe 3-4 days of continuous practice will do for decent stuff
