I'm the fanboy here, so take this with a grain of salt. I'm biased. Really biased because I love blues, soul, funk, early rap, all that stuff. What Violet is doing here, given their different voices compares quite nicely to say Beth Hart. One of my other favorite vocalists, Vicky Psarakis once said on stream that she respected Violet "because she just sings" . High praise coming from Vicky, and I got to tell Violet that, which made her very happy. She's this great because she never, ever quits trying to be next level , she never, ever thinks good enough is a thing. And now that she's gotten a super talented band to work with she's only gotten better (that's right folks, talking about you👏) Great reaction!
I've got the blues now. ... I saw Fred's chat comment that @VioletOrlandi is married now. While I'm happy for her, it make me sad because I planned to fly south and ask her myself. Okay, okay, not really but one can dream right?
With than being said, Just Joe and Fred are absolutely on the money!!! I discovered VO through OSN a few months after the channel started. I've always loved her voice and agreed with OSN's comments about how deep, rich, and blues it sounded. Even when she was belting out dark queen metal. Hearing this makes me want to sit back and chill with a cold one to sip while my feet are up tappin to the beat.
Whitesnake did a cover of this song. I think her voice didnt fit the song. Sounds like one of the backup singers had done a better job. Just my 2 cents 😄
