This was a great demo of the Acapulco Gold. I’ve seen other videos where they said it was hard to manage and got muddy, but you showed otherwise. Also, hardly anyone else shows this pedals stacked with others! Great work!

AG + Pharaoh ordered after watching your video x10 in a row! Also...the LPB-1 into the AG.... jeeeeeeez! this is one brutal demo.... rock on brother!
Such great tone combinations in there. You're re right about the AG into BAT Pharaoh sounding fantastic. But my surprise favourite was the AG into Fulltone OCD. Had the weight but also the mid-range movement and upper saw effect. Spectacular sound. And, especially good as there are good cheap clones of the OCD, that I like better than it. Like the EHX Glove.

Yes, the Roost is great, but it's not THAT important to the overall sound. I have a new amp here, video including comparison to the Roost is coming soon
Awesome demo. Good job at showing what that pedal does. Love mine, if I had to keep 1 pedal it’s an easy win. In person into a loud amp, With the guitar volume and playing dynamics I can go from nicely broken up clean to the sound of fuzzy maxed out amps with ripped speakers or something.
Great sounds. I love the Acapulco, I’ve recently got a Model Fet which I considered to be a replacement - in some ways it is but the Acapulco is it’s own thing and I’m keeping it.
I don't have an actual OCD, but I do have a Joyo Ultimate Drive (a Chinese clone of the OCD), which if I turn gain and tone up to full, it sounds just like the Acapulco Gold. I'm guessing the circuitry is very similar. Yeah, great video. Great riffs! I need to write more groovy riffs now.

Heavy sounding but with a little taste of vintage vibe to my ears (i prefere vintage sound over modern sound all day and all of the night🤘😎) ...as a german myself i didnt know the word bratzeln before but it is perfect for what you used it 😂👍 thank you ✌️
I only just learned what the AG does tonight, after seeing it on so many peralboards. So here I am watching videos of it thinking "ok I'm definitely buying one, but how would it sound with an OD and/or an HM2 lol" and this is the next video I click on 😆 Soooooooooold. That was absolutely disgusting. And killer riffs dude!
The thing is what really want it to be able to go from extreme Doom fuzzy distortion back all the way to vintage blues and back again with ease. So what you actually need is a RAT and a bluesy overdrive stacked. Everything else is a farse even the muff isn't optional as it can't clean up.
I have Acapulco Gold and know how loud it is. I saw you use it in first quarter of the volume and wanted to write you here that you are a pushover, but when you cranked it to max into the OCD I was like "Hold your horses, damn!" :-D :-D
I got an Acapulco Kit from Musikding. I love the massive low end. One knob and the sunn comes up, great pedal! Wanna buy soon the Sunn T Kit from MD too and check if this pedal kill too.
I just started running one in parallel with a Pharaoh Supreme. Volume on guitar fully up, but the gain and highs pulled back on the Pharaoh. Stupidly full tone in combination with the AG.
@@OscillatorDevices i use an EHX tri-parallel mixer pedal. Really fun mixing drive and modulation pedals and is also not too expensive. Got mine for just over 100 bucks.
@@OscillatorDevices yeah the EHX has input and output vol for each channel and even has phase correction switches too. The only weakness is you have to doubletap the footswitch to turn off and its doesn't always happen smoothly. But definitely a great studio tool.

It's 430 in the morning and all I want to do is go in the garage and pull my rig out of storage and sludge rock the neighbors till the cops have to break down the door and tap me on the shoulder just so I can tell them that I'm not drunk but possessed by the passion of being born again!
I'm a bass player, but recently bought a Fender jazzmaster and play it through my GK Fusion 800 with BOSS ODB-3 (Buzz Osborne uses an ODB-3). Im sold on getting the Acapulco Gold!!! What other pedal hear would you recommend me getting to get close to that sound???? The Pharoah??? Really liked that sound. Best sound I've ever heard!

If I remember right, this pedal is two of the gain circuits from their Bit Commander pedal ran in series.

Gotta try that. I had an ES-5 once, it was capable of parallel fx, but you couldn't control the levels, so it was pointless.
