You are my hero you know, I love your reviews, when I need to think about a new tone profil I look your videos and what you do is spot one, so rare to find that doomy tone review. Thank you pal
Without a doubt the best fuzz/OD review videos. No talking, informed knob/setting adjustments, and amazing sonic work! Thank you for these, Oscillator!
Holy shit dude, amazing demo and review! Really sick playing, and I love the format of subtitles so there’s no interruptions for talking, I think more people should do that in their demos. You really went in depth and gave both honest opinions and objective evaluations of the pedal. Like seriously, really well done!
I am inspired to go in to a new realm by your riffs and tone. Also I came here for the hizumitas, but I might have to get that Frost Giant Soma after hearing it
Amazing riffs and tones again man. Been looking at this pedal for a while but never heard it sound this good. The way you blend and boost is really inspiring, cheers!
Great video! I'm gonna have to get one of these... I actually liked the bassy fuzz sound myself... and it sounded great as a overdrive! Thanks for the demo!
Excellent demo. I would never have thought of boosting the Hizumitas with a BD-2. Enjoyed the tune too, I got a bit of a 'The God Machine' vibe in places too. :)
This is the pedal that introduced me to fuzz. I have been playing for over half my life (so like 17 years now) and had never used a fuzz till this year. Then I realized muff style fuzzes were the tone I've always heard in my head and now I own a Pharaoh because that's the exact muff sound I want. I agree about the low end on the hizumitas. It's just too much with the gain above 12 oclock. But god damn does it sound like a Wooly Mammoth pulling a cart full of chainsaws.
Bro, your demos are out of this fucking world bad ass!!! You clearly have drawn from so many influences and have a killer formula for pulling it all together…….every demo you put out, I find myself watching and listening through the entire set. I appreciate what you do and for those that say the music of today sucks…….they clearly don’t subscribe to this channel
Great video. Allowed me to get a sense that probably the Acapulco gold is the pedal for me, rather than Hizumitas. It's definitely a special sound. But for me it sounds shrieky, more for lead tones, which is less often what I want. Going to try an Acapulco with Green Russian, Plumes, BD-2W, EHX Glove, Hot Wax, Timmy, Tumnus, Magus Pro (RAT-type with Turbo and Fat settings) and see what works. I like your approach to trying out combinations of boosts/drives, distortions, fuzzes. Your coming up with some amazing sounds. And it's great for me to hear how these stack up.
Got this pedal the other day and I agree, the bass on this thing is monstrous! I've got it next to a Green Russian Muff, which it can also sound like, but the Russian can't produce the Earthquake of low end the Hiz can. I think your application for this pedal is spot on, great video!
Had the iron horse for a while and never really cared much for it but after seeing this it'll be going back on the board i think. Sounds fucking killer into the fuzz!
The Oath side is the old Revelation pedal with everything turned to max I believe. It was modelled around an old Superbass/lead preamp (there were two versions of the Revelation)
Easily the best review/demo channel on youtube, of any subjetct! Would you mind tabbing some of this out and sharing? Especially the heavier parts, I tried figuring out by ear but being a drummer first doesn't help haha
@@ccivinski Yes, but not in that particular style. Guitar and vocals both on Eternal Engine, more in the stoner/hard rock direction (you'll find it on Spotify) and just starting out with this two piece: ruinsofyesterday.bandcamp.com

Sounds awesome. I’m actually curious what you think of the rubberneck with fuzz? Been looking for one that doesn’t add brightness to the original signal with fuzz, and someone else recommended the DOD. Anyhow, very much subscribed.
@@OscillatorDevices dude, really I'd listen to it and all I heard from you was rocking the the iron horse into hizumitas, love that part!!!! What's it from? You? Yes? Then dude go for it
I've had a BAT Destroyer for some time ... bought it off some poor kid who was quite frankly intimidated by it - totally destroyed his alt-grunge vibe haha. Awesome pedal not for the faint of heart ...

Thanks! Awesome to hear that!
The Hizumitas will always be one of my favorite fuzz pedals. Not as much versatility as some others, but the sound more than makes up for it.
Great demo, as usual. Seriously, you need to drop a record, your riff writing is excellent.
Second that

Hell of a demo. Love the way you laid everything out and clearly explained what was happening in the signal chain. Earned a sub for sure. Bravo!

that was rad. thank you for sharing your expertise with gain stacking. tremendously helpful!

Just bought a roost amp from watching your videos sr100 and now to get the frost giant soma and the Hizumitus!👌🏼perfect
Good choice!

I feel a need to listen whole album of Yours ! yt vids are fine ... but I like to listen to the music in car though.
Keep them comments going, with everyone I think about it more :)

Pedal sounds nice, but most importantly - you sound great, wow! That's some fantastic playing and riff writing.
Thanks so much, that's great to hear!
Absolutely
very good video man! besides the super sounds you get out of the pedal, the song is really awesomel! I would listen to it on vinyl too! Keep it up!

Yeah, the Pharaoh is the gold standard. "Wooly Mammoth pulling a cart full of chainsaws" best descritption of the Hizumitas :D
I think this is the fuzz pedal I'm looking for. Massive low end is exactly what I need!
Because of this video i made DIY one... love it!

Another phenomenal pedal demo, thank you.

Quality video as always but, as others have said, imma need that tune on Bandcamp or Soundcloud ASAP!
Came for the pedal, but left with the need of the tabs of what I just heard.
Please 🙏

Thanks man
Thanks! Actually there are tabs for this one. You'll find the link in the description.

Yeah, the Rubberneck is great. My goto delay. Used it in probably half of my videos. Works well with fuzz, too.
Sealed the deal for me.
Very cool demo. Been looking at getting one of these. Any plans on doing a GT1 part 2 where we can hear the distortion channel without pedals?
Thanks, yes the GT-1 part 2 is coming next.
@@OscillatorDevices Awesome. I'm looking forward to it. I really dig your style of demos, and the music you play.

Sorry, answered with the wrong account. I use Addictive Drums with the United Heavy pack
