As some who's also on Adderall (legitimately) the wearing off thing is SO REAL. It's very hard to describe because you really don't "feel" different, but you can absolutely tell when it wears off, and it's almost worse after than when you're just off completely. You know that feeling when you walk into a room and you forgot why you walked in? Imagine that, but quite literally everytime you look away from the thing you're doing. That's what coming off can feel like sometimes I'm currently on an extended release and an afternoon booster of the regular kind, and that's helped me with the extra push a lot. It also doesn't fall off quite as hard.

The best way I can tell it is that whatever you're doing can be "overwritten" very easily, like what you're doing is written on a whiteboard, then you see something and quickly erase it to write down the new thing. Of course, this is my personal experience, which is mostly to do with what's called "executive function" (a concept that was almost foreign to me when I first Googled it). Of course, there's no harm in asking. Just try not to go looking for pills if you can get by with just behavioral therapy or coping strategies.
I had a very similar experience. I’m also on extended release and then also bupropion for anxiety/depression, but bupropion is also tested as a possible adhd non stimulant drug. It’s an NDRI and it seems to smooth out the experience of adderall. I wouldn’t recommend without talking to your doctor obviously because the two have a major interaction with each other. If you have a history of seizures it can be super bad. Thankfully I haven’t had any negative effects

When I read the title (About being canceled) I thought he was going to react to this video or at least defend himself or something. To be fair, the accusations are pretty stupid and I get it he's better not give them any attention and publicity! I hope we don't lose William on UA-cam, I really like his videos.

So... learning Kevin has ADHD is a real fucking inspiration for me. I've known I've had it for years, but only recently gotten some proper medication and therapies for it, but still thought I was never going to have a chance at doing something. Learning this honestly gives me hope, that maybe I can make something of it all, and be successful. I know it was almost a throw away part of the video, but seriously, it made me feel hopeful. So, thank you for sharing this. Truly.
I would be shocked if everyone involved in this podcast didn’t have an ADHD diagnosis. The “completely unable to do a thing without serious external accountability and even then only at the last minute” is a pretty classic symptom.
@@chasleichner5895 Yeah, they’re kind of like a spectrum of the different levels of effects ADHD can have on people (at least on the level that can be perceived externally). I would say a huge amount of STEM UA-camrs have some level of it or ASD

Someone need to break it to William that every video he spends so much effort leaning into the mic and adjusting the mic but no matter where the mic or his head is, it all sounds fine. The volume of his voice goes up a bit, when it is closer to the mic, but the volume is perfectly fine when it is at its furthest distance. Just wanted to convey that message because it looks like he i constantly worried about it and he can just let it go and chill, you are good my dude. One issue I had with the liveshow is it was all in the same region of the US, and while I was interested in going I couldn't make a trip that far east happen. Maybe the next go-around have events across more of the US?

I have crippling ADHD and I was not diagnosed until I was much older and I've never been medicated for it. I totally understand.
I just imagine a fighting event with all the science youtubers, like a Celebrity Deathmatch style type thing. Nigel just brings a bunch of chemicals into the ring and Kevin has his rocket knives and molten aluminum, everyone has something unique to bring to the table. I'd watch the frick out of that!

One issue I had with the liveshow is it was all in the same region of the US, and while I was interested in going I couldn't make a trip that far east happen. Maybe the next go-around have events across more of the US?
