- Jessi Lang and the Roadfly crew were in Napa valley to test the all new 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe. The new Cadillac Coupe competes mainly against the Audi A5, BMW 335, and Infiniti G37. Cadillac brings a little more luxury to the segment than the other competitors. David Leone of GM chats with Jessi about Cadillac design and emotion. Langtry Estate & Vineyards Lake County, CA.

I just got the 2013 cts coupe, it's basically the same. If the battery dies, there is a manual lever you can pull if you are in the car on the drivers side to open the door. If you are outside the car and it dies, you can unlock the car by putting the key into the trunk lock and pushing a button.
The car’s key has a regular metal key inserted into the fob. Turns out, there’s a run-of-the-mill door lock installed vertically next to the rear license-plate lights. Simply insert the key, twist to open the trunk, and yank a handle hanging from the roof of the trunk. As if by magic, the driver’s door pops open even when u r inside the car and no battery.
That's one amazing coupe, and I think you have the best review for it.
.. I added this beauty CTS to my car collection and I will say - I'M TOTALLY in love with it. Jessi pretty much sums it well in this video. It's an eye catcher!!!!!!
Are the backseats usable for adult's?
still like it?
@4itstym Its the same concept as using a lever door, no electrical current is used from the battery to push the button
Good Review Thks. Didn't really know much about the car till I watched your excellent review.
Drove this car, GREAT handling, takes those curves very nice.
way to go Jessi - your reports are way better than Road & Track or Motor Trend, they barely touch on basic stats but your reports are really detailed & informative. thanks -
Tony
looking good Jessi! Keep up the good work!
the cts sedan is seriously nice, but the coupe looks even better. excellent review
Just bought this car. Don't remember seeing a hot girl in the back seat or trunk when leaving the dealership. Maybe that's another option for the car :-/
@4itstym they have a manual lever by the bottom door panel that you can pull and it opens. if the battery is dead and you're locked from the outside you can manually open the trunk and there is yet another lever to manually open the door.
Good video, good production Roadfly
It is an amazing piece of engineering and the CTS is very powerful.
Ive had a cts 4 AWD coupe for 40 days
Pros..
Its cool lookin, great in the snow its a bad ass in the snow
and its a caddy, killer headlightes, will do 120 MPH pretty easy
Seats are great, A+
A+ sound system
18-22mpg with under 5k miles
Cons...
lil wind comming through whistlin through threw drivers window
few blind spots, i put 1/2 dollar size mirrors on driver n pass sides
Whish it had a bit more rumble, more sound
Valve train a bit noisier now she is broken in
I love the car
That rear spoiler looks sharp to the touch.
when is this coming out? I been tryin to see this in person for the longest...but they never have these at the caddi dealership by me.
i love her voice, great review too.
Good job Jessi, I have a black raven coupe. Love it!
That car is absolutely massive!
Nice Jessi,
Sorry for the late response. UA-cam blocks my subscriptions sometimes I don't get the videos. =(
I kind of like the CTS Sedan more though. It's more practical.
I like the electronic door handles on this. Very nice touch.
Are you going to do the CTS-V coupe soon?
My biggest concern would be Headroom and Legroom.
Just got one, I absolutely love it! pearl with black rims.
How's it holding up? It's on my short list of options
Hows the blind spots ?
you look and sound like Anna Torv from fringe lol...anyways nice review! i like how GM is sticking with keeping their production cars looking like the concepts
Thanks for the video, it was very nice. I love this car, it's powerful and looks great. But as I don't have the opportunity to sit in one of those myself (there are no CTS Coupes in Russia yet, I'm thinking about ordering one) l'd like to know how the interior felt. I mean in terms of quality. I've seen some car shows where they say that one of the main problem of American cars is the low quality of body parts and interior parts. I wonder if that's the case with Cadillac CTS Coupe.
Good review.....I may consider the cts
Took this baby for test drive, it was amazing the whole car is a delight to feel and look at, except maybe for the gauges ( speedometer, RPM etc.. ) they look a little blant or dull, otherwise it's a very good car, very sporty feel to it.
Nice!
might buy one
beatiful
I have a Forte Koup and the sunroof tips and slides back.
@PhilippZ I suggest that yous hould look it up the tire tests. some all season tires are better performers than summer tires. They also last longer and better in winter.
If you agree with cadillac you will also be getting steering column shifter with it, even though I have no idea what you are going to do with them since you will be using a stick shift.
does the trunk open like a hatch back?
the car is huge!
I been looking for this car in manual for 2years. Am not sure anymore if it comes in manual...
@4itstym
there is a manual Handel to open the door from inside near your feets =)
Oh, and one more question. If you could buy either a CTS Coupe, BMW 335xi or Audi A5 3.2 FSI quattro, what would your choice be?
@adoniscomplex depends what the "touch pad" really is. is it an electornic mechanism or is it a simple machine?
I hope this is the platform that they'll use for the next CTS-V. :-)
For a coupe. this car is ENORMOUS!
I LOVE JESSI
Jessi Lang has a great voice. Good review.
Stylistically, I think Cadillac is sorely lacking in the wheel design department. I think the coupe could also use more rear fender flare.
Yeah!!!
@Fussinated, depends on the tire. A great all season will outperform a poor summer tire, but a good or better summer tire will vastly out perform all and any outseasons.
All seasons will still last longer though, making them a better choice for most people.
Beauty
what road was that? crazy turns like the tail of the dragon - see navi
is it good in the highways??
@4itstym there is a manual way of opening the door as well.
To hell with that car ! I think Jessi is a pretty smokin ride !!
Smoke'n hot! nice car too.
Sexy car and jessi is easy on the eyes too xD Great review!
@4itstym At the bottom of the door near the speaker there is a latch to pull, like the corvette c6.
I like it.
@Gorilla199isTheTrut1 Are you talking about the Jag, because all i get is a fiat uno look-alike?
Jessi Lang in 720p, win
@jessilang2008 & adoniscomplex good question adonis I wondered myself thanks for the answer Jessi... I still am not a fan of the GM electric doors because they disrupt the flow of the overall design more than if you just stuck doorhandles on. If I am going to pay for electronic door releases I want them integrated flushly into the car, somehow "hidden" in the design. I had one more question too How do you get in from the outside if they fail? I don't see an external key cylinder.
I'm not sure what the standard ground clearance height is, but from the rear the car seems unnecessarily high. They may have been able to get more trunk space if the ground clearance high was sloped lower from front, to back.
What about gas consumption and reliability?
@4itstym There's a manual lever on the floor just like the corvette.
This is the one I want..slightly different from the others
When she was talking about the trunk size I thought what the Sopranos would have and it could fit a few bodies...
i like the handles.
I've always wanted a coupe but the ones with the 6 speed manual are sooo hard to find
Tom DeVito very hard to fined !!!!
@@bustersmith5569 I think cause cts coupe had a short life span it's become a collectable
@@TomDeVito the automatic transmission are out there ! Have yet to even see a manual ! Not a one,
I’m in the market for a manual one in Florida and yes, none available in my area lol
@4itstym You pull the manual release
@Nincumpoopie i like the car's design.
This good looking lady does a great car review, props Jessi :)
i like
How tall is she??
how big is that car.....
Damn, I work in Napa, you should have called.
I swear its hard to concentrate on the reviews. Jessi is just too damn cute to give a shit about cars.
In black it looks like the Batmobile :P
@1HeartnSoul
It takes the same amount of energy to move an object of the same weight.
@roadflytv i have a coupe and the sunroof opens all the way lol :p
nice stop 2:43
the touchpad door thing is cool and all but it just seems like something else to break and would be expensive to replace
I think the CTS coupe V should be pretty interesting.
My dad has this car with custom exhaust and grill people here say its ugly but when I ride it I see people get so jealous they try so hard to overtake you its the only downside too the car.
@NaniKuulei Its huge, for a coupe, its 4,788 mm long, I have a 4-door alfa romeo 156 sportwagon and its just over 4,4 m long, and it isn't what one might call a small car
i like cadillac but for some reason i do not like this CTS.... it just doesn't pop like you think it would.. i guess the sharp angles in there designs are starting to get a bit boring... i did like the idea that they got rid of the door handles very cool but what if end up in a lake or something and cant get the doors open.
chevron theme?
at 0:40
@4itstym I guess you are smarter than us the engineers, thank you for noticing we never thought of that. You should consider becoming a chemical engineer. LOL
love it
but there is a slightly gab between the bumpers and the fenders :S
i hope they fix that problem, because this is the most annoying thing to me!!
The physical key comes out of the square electric key thing
Not to be negative but what about how this car needs more power. They need to put the 6.2 v8 from the Camaro in here. 0-60 in 6.8? she says that's enough?? really?...This car is too heavy for only 300hp. I know they'll make a "V" model, but they need something in between. or the standard engine should've been the V8
So you like hard sticks ?
Deep voice o.0?
@mokos23 yes you can.
@racewithferrari or anywere else for that matter, it kinda looks OK from the front, OK it looks good from the front :)
I would rather have her instead of the car. What a sweet heart.
either gonna get this or camaro SS, but this better because of AWD
DOES SHE COME WITH THE CAR?!?!?!?
This car doesn't have the CUE system. It has normal buttons. I agree the new style touch buttons the Cadillac AND others are using are not the greatest. Make sure you know what you talking about before you comment or bash something.
IT isn't offered with manual transmission.
LMFAO she loves stick shift
haha she loves the stick
@TheBubbykins That made me laugh. Don't know what you're looking at.
I really like the Infiniti G37, but I think this wins. Only thing I really don't like is that crappy gun metal gray plastic console which is so out of place on a luxury or even upscale car, yet car manufacturers still stick to it (Cadillac is not the only luxury car maker to use it either).
where did they did the design?
Chevrolet Beretta!
I like how she sounds serious but at the same time showing plenty of enthusiasm. What I mean by serious is shes taking the job seriously.
@fp3shb your my new friend...
i want her to play with my stick shift :)
