    OK....all you auto snobs, I've owned and driven the likes of BMW, Lexus and Mercedes Benz. I've also been privileged to drive Ferraris and Lamborghinis and a Lotus now and then and a couple of Jag's.....but if you give the Cadillac CST Coupe a chance, you will find an excellent performer and a very satisfying experience for a third of the cost. Not to mention a skin like no other! Who says America can compete?

    "could benefit from a bit more engine." Isn't that what the cts-V coupe is for?

    We bought a 2011 silver Cadillac Coupe Premium 3.6 AWD and love it. Added red caliper covers, black chrome wheels and Cooper tires, Airaid cold air intake, Borla exhaust and a silver spoiler from a 2007 Chevy Colbalt.

      I have a 2011 premium as well! I feel like your exhaust & intake give you a little bump in power which is needed!

    It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyways: great review!
    Steve: any complaints about the interior appointments? It doesn't seem all that bad to me, but reviews in some websites/magazines describe the interior as not bad, but sub-par compared to the competition.

  • @stevehammes
    @stevehammes  13 років тому +1

    @radudeATL Thanks! I would not say that all. I think the CTS interior is right where expectations should be.

    @bdivy1 No doubt...but the roads were slick from rain that day so we kept traction control on in order to return the CTS to Cadillac in one piece ;-)

  • @stevehammes
    @stevehammes  13 років тому

    @zackness5 Indeed, but somewhere between 304 horsepower and 556 horsepower would be nice.

    Do you have information about its reliability?

    rumors are around that the 2012 Camaro V6 will have around 330 hp...if it happens to be true, then they're coming over to Caddy :)

      Same here I'm planning on buying one out soon. I hope the backseat headroom isn't as bad as they make it seem though. Might need to throw people back there if needed be.

      Mary Whistleman I have a 2012 coupe and unfortunately it seems to eat wheel bearings. Speed sensor rings rusting off, 68k mi.

    I love the look of the car but its way to heavy Smh. It's a coupe, how hard is it to keep the weight down. The 0-60 time kinda sucks.
    I might as well buy a g35 or a g37

  • @LoPan1985
    @LoPan1985 Рік тому

    I have a 2011 premium trim & the 3.6 is a dog! Because the coupe is heavy it needs 350hp & more torque! I enjoy it but if I could talk with the creators I would want more power. I disagree with the easy access to the back seats. I find it cumbersome & annoying to deal with. If your over 5’10” you will not wanna sit in the back seat. It mobs through snow like a champ though. It’s my daily driver & use it to go skiing often! I would give it a 6 or 7 out of 10.

    ive been waiting for you to do this car. with it being a coupe now i was wanting to get this car over a camaro. yes it is luxurious, and somewhat of a head turner, but im guess with the price, lower performance and same issue that the camaro has ( rear window vis ) im going to head over to camaro instead.
    still love your reviews just wish the coupe offered more.

    @SomeCrazyFellow The amount of americans in the US who would buy a diesel engine isn't enough to justify offering a decent diesel engine.

    Correction.... "Can't." America with it's most beautiful diversity, creates some of the most beautiful machines' in the world AND with individuals like Steve Jobs, we are the visionaries' of this world. Not only is the United States the richest with economics, WE ARE THE RICHEST with the dreams and fortitude to make it all come true! NEVER FORGET what democracy means and what the United States of America stands for. Cadillac is an American company and a symbol of our beliefs, don't forget it!

  • @SomeCrazyFellow

    6.4 seconds!? My dad's diesel Jaguar XF does it in under 6, and does 42 MPG combined. American cars still have a long way to go.

    • @RBZ06LT6
      @RBZ06LT6 2 роки тому +1

      Yes , lets all include American cars at once. Your daddy’s Jaguar is also probably a nightmare to maintain and really bad for reliability. Laughable. I dont believe your 6 sec 0-100 one bit not even close. Your comment is 11 yo and it did not have a single like. British cars are trash at best.
