  • Hey Pals,
This week I thought I'd just throw together a little video following some of my work for Throneless while I think out loud about what I'm doing. Not really a tutorial, more of a monologue. Let me know if you'd like to see more (shorter?) videos like this. I've been thinking about dipping into tiktok / youtube short style content at some point, maybe this would be a good candidate to go along with the full tutorials.
    Thanks for watching!

Sometimes it's intimidating to watch your stuff. You are so insanely talented, and it's hard not to compare myself to your work. Not just your pixel art, but your editing, presentation, demeanor, and professionalism too. I'm going to use your channel as a goal marker. Thank you. :)

I'm extremely amazed of how simple it looks to make. But that's how it is for pro, it looks effortless but required a lot of work to get to this level.
I'm starting to try some pixel art myself, and these videos really helped me get an insight on how to work on it.
Your results are stunning, really. I just can't believe how you go from simple shapes to these masterpieces.
    Thank you !

In my honest opinion-it might be part of your cartoony style and what you were going for but the light doesn’t usually form a perfect ring like that on a palm tree since some branches grow higher and stick up and some lower forming shadows over other branches and breaking up the light even from above view. I mean that in a 100% respectful we all struggle with things sometimes kind of way- for me I really struggle drawing dirt or going “too much” with ground tiles or can’t get the shape of curved isometric windows/doors right. Another really nice basic tutorial though!!~~~
