- Hey Pals,
This week I thought I'd just throw together a little video following some of my work for Throneless while I think out loud about what I'm doing. Not really a tutorial, more of a monologue. Let me know if you'd like to see more (shorter?) videos like this. I've been thinking about dipping into tiktok / youtube short style content at some point, maybe this would be a good candidate to go along with the full tutorials.
Thanks for watching!

This man is literally pixel art Bob Ross
Absolute truth
He just needs to say happy little trees more often and tell others they too can pixel like this wizard lol
@@AaronQ64 you're spot on lol
Sometimes it's intimidating to watch your stuff. You are so insanely talented, and it's hard not to compare myself to your work. Not just your pixel art, but your editing, presentation, demeanor, and professionalism too. I'm going to use your channel as a goal marker. Thank you. :)
I'm extremely amazed of how simple it looks to make. But that's how it is for pro, it looks effortless but required a lot of work to get to this level.
I'm starting to try some pixel art myself, and these videos really helped me get an insight on how to work on it.
Your results are stunning, really. I just can't believe how you go from simple shapes to these masterpieces.
Thank you !
Thanks for the video Adam! Much appreciated. Exactly what I was looking for. Love your isometric series. Good stuff, keep up the good work!
I like the long format Adam! Because we get to see your whole awesome creative process without hunting you on Twitch. Really love your work, both artistically and when teaching/communicating
I completely agree. I love seeing the trial and error of drawing and sculpting and image from scratch. The process is the magic :)
Ditto!
Your videos are so inspiring! I haven't watched it yet but the thumbnail ahah amazing
I just bought Aseprite and your videos have been so helpful. Thank you!
Your art skills are insane!
Also arabia bush moment was awesome
Thank you Adam! That is really inspiring!
Thank you for the video, it helped me a lot to make details in my pixel arts in a practical and beautiful way, a hug from Brazil! OBRIGADO!
“Arabian bush”
*giggles* 😆
I could watch you draw pixel graphics all day and listen to your calm voice ^^
I can always count on your expertise, to inspire me
Love all your videos! 💛💛
Excellent work!!!
Man i love watching your vids. I wanna see how detailed you can make a cactus lol 🌵
Seeing you draw an object from below made me think what if there was a game where you're a monster or something that is underground and has to attack enemies through the surface. Idk how practical that is, but seems neat
the desert scrub / bush gives me some zoo tycoon 2 foliage vibes in a really good way. so nice to look at
Perfect tuto
desert sounds interesting
Looking forward to retweeting your tutorials. Let's raise an army of pixel artists!
Gracias por todo! estoy aprendiendo ingles porque me Inspiras jajajaja
Y también PixelArt obviamente
Estoy viendo todos tus vídeos gracias, enserio muchas gracias ✊😔
Hey guys have you seen the Metal Slug Tactics trailer? The art should be admired by those who can appreciate it!
@LowLinK yeaaah boi
if i had done what you had done in the first minute, I would be so proud lol
Yo, I love ur vids and there very helpful, and I’ve got a request: could u draw an explosion vid?
nice, realy inspiring
so pretty!
This channel has become my substitute for Brackeys. I wish he also done some coding videos here and there, but sweet none the less
We'll see...
I love me a good isometric tile set
7:16
And voila, he's made a sweetroll
nice pixelart ! can you say..how do you do it with the brush ? i mean to shading something. Because when i try this with the normal brush tool..it overwrites my art xD
Keep up this nice Work! You got a new Sub!
EDIT: Nvm..i've found it..on the documentary from asperite^^
In my honest opinion-it might be part of your cartoony style and what you were going for but the light doesn’t usually form a perfect ring like that on a palm tree since some branches grow higher and stick up and some lower forming shadows over other branches and breaking up the light even from above view. I mean that in a 100% respectful we all struggle with things sometimes kind of way- for me I really struggle drawing dirt or going “too much” with ground tiles or can’t get the shape of curved isometric windows/doors right. Another really nice basic tutorial though!!~~~
How do you get your Aseprite to have a black theme? It looks really nice
Nice! The palm tree could be a little bit taller.
you should do a video where you use the mouse only
Will your game have taming features?
What tablet do you use, again?
how did you get the outlines on tiles that are on a higher z access, or did you make those tiles separate with the outline
You listen to the same retro lofi playlists as me it seems ha
Is the palmtree accurately lighted? From the top the sunlight comes from top-front, from the bottom the sun comes from the back.
Which aseprite theme are you using.
Are you using Aseprite? Mine looks so different.
How do you do that thing where you paint over a color only like 16:17?
.
Круто 👍
Amazing. Any websites to get ideas to make some furnitures un pixel art?
Don't know if it helps but honestly pinterest can give you a lot of ideas
@@PDD555 thanks, I'll check!
@@mayortomsoy no problem! :)
It's time to give myself homework.
can you do a isometric tutorial
Noob question 🙋♂️ : how do you keep the color in the object when shading or am I an idiot and you just need to make the object layer on top of shade idk 🤷♀️
i maybe dont understand ur question, but i try to help anyway lol. U can change the ink to shading or to alpha so u can paint only where there is actual color
@@martymcfly9984 you answer my question it’s kinda hard to explain but yeah thank you
I believe asprite has a shading tool that will only edits the selected colors :)
How do you not draw out of the shape you’re on?
is that a typo in the thumbnail? "isometic"
It was! Thanks for spotting that.
Como se llama la paleta que utilizas?
Does anyone know the software he uses for making his game?
Aseprite for the pixel art, Unity as the game engine
What’s your pallet cocohat must know
what theme is that?
can I have your pallet, I'm a new subscriber learned a lots from you.
accidentally disliked before i realized what i had done
