Ok I F up. ive done a lot of brake changes on sprinters but this was my first 2019... didn't know about the menu and i got the rear apart and now i cant get it back together... came here looking just went and tried to put it into brake change mode guess it doesn't like that its already apart it said parking brake inopertable. Now what do i do ughh

Service mode is supposed to be set before the job starts. Mercedes can be finicky about the procedure being followed properly. I would try reassembling with the old pads and then running the service cycle again.

how many miles have you seen the stock pads going for before needing replacement? I am at 35k miles right now.

Pad wear *HEAVILY* depends on use and cargo. If the van is constantly carrying heavy loads or is a RV/build out, you should anticipate pad replacement around every 40k miles. You could extend life to 60k on vans that see lots of highway miles with lighter loads.
