- Haas Minute Repeater. 43 mm.
- Julien Dubois (Le Locle) Minute Repeater. 40 mm. 3/4 plate
- Anonymous. Minute Repeater. 37 mm Recased after my specifications.
- Table Clock by Gübelin. Minute Repeater.
- Montandon Frères (Locle). Minute Repeater.
- Anonymous. Quarter Repeater. 32 mm.

It surprised me that after about 10 years i stumble upon this video which shows one of my own hand-built watch (the first one Favre Leuba ).
Arthur Love I recognised the seamaster stye lugs and oversize flat crown. ;)

4:28 I absolutely love this one. It's definitely something different, no hands, no dial, just an amazing view of the movement. And in order to know what time is it, you must use the repeater
But, I was thinking, how the hell do you set it ?
@@ouraN2O by using the repeater I guess. Or knowing how the mechanism works, you might be able to figure out the position of the gears that control the number of "dings" and translate that to hours and minutes
@@DanielTseng100 yeah I think too. But that's really long to set your watch if you're using the minute repeater every time 😂. Btw, I browse Internet to find this model but I didn't found, do you have a link or something? (And sorry for my English I'm French)
@@ouraN2O in the description it says that it's an anonymous movement recased by him to his specifications. He probably took it from a broken pocket watch and put it into a watch case. And no worries about your English, it's fine 😊

Many of these wrist watchesare pocket-watch-converted. Some people call them Frankenwatches, but I find them interesting.

Do you have a story on the JLC? I have never seen one with a Geneve lettering on the dial. Additionally do you know the year the Patek is from? The watch looks a bit vintage, but at those times they didn't have glas casebacks

That's not an authentic patek case or movement. That's a marriage watch and a standard repeator movement. They sell these for thousands to people who dont know better. Its wild.

Extremely amazing collection. They are real minute repeaters. I can feel real passion and soul in swiss watching making in the the past. Modern swiss watches are just rubbish. They are made from rubbish materials and CNC machines as well as cutting corners. Your collection is just stunning.

Гугл Адворз One has to be careful. Some of those watches for sale aren't legit or are reproductions of the originals. Especially Ebay. I've noticed the detail on some of those are very poor, even the ones for over $1000. There are no minute repeater ones in the list. A repeater watch can go as much as $300000 to over 3 million depending how many existing models there are. Minute repeater watches start as low as $ 5000. Don't buy from Wandolec. If you look at the screws. They look scratched. Le- coultre never puts extensive imperfect art like that on their bridges. Le- coultre cherishes their vintage line. They have all the original tooling and archived blue prints of their vintage watches. It's a pleasure for them to re service your watches. You pay for quality. A basic watch service like the legit ones is only about $800 and the service is always precise. Its like they're remaking the watch over again. Their retesting and quality control is 100% It doesn't pass until it's perfect. Wandolec doesn't promise that. A good watch maker doesn't sell on Ebay.

Why aren't any of the movements running? Isn't it very unhealthy for minute repeaters to be activated on low power??

I keep my watches in a safe at the bank; and rarelly take them all out at the same time.
I just forgot to wind the watches.
Activating a repeater when the watch is running or stopped makes no difference, as the repeater mechanism takes its energy from the activation of the slide, and not from the watch's mainspring.
The minute repeater movement uses different power source instead of the mainspring barrel, so it's pretty much safe to use... If it was the grand sonnerie then it would be dangerous to operate the chiming while the movement in low power as it uses the share the power source from the mainspring barrel

Why fake? The pocket watches seem authentic
horrible horrible why would you do this re-case on them. oh NoooooO!!! just pocket watch itself would be stunning. Just turning pocket watch to wrist watch, no-one will consider you a big hitter. why would anybody want to transform this beautiful pocket watch to monstrous illegitimate nightmare fake wrist watch. no-one will buy this piece which is damaged this horrifyingly . Rest in piece pocket watch ..
There are countless pocket watch movements around the world, that have been removed in order to make money from the gold case.
Therefore, in my opinion, it makes a lot of sense to appreciate it again by building a Mariage wristwatch with its actual function.
