I JUST tried your recipe for the vanilla sponge cake! Love that it actually worked for the first time for me! Ihad to buy an oven thermostat to ascertain that it stays at 150°C (since every oven is different) and I also wrapped the baking pan into foil and then placed it into a fire-resistent pan - *that's* what did the trick!
Other than that, I take the eggs out of the fridge a few hours before I start baking (so they are at room temperature) and use cleared butter instad of oil *and* I whip the yolks with sugar to almost white creamy and only then add the flour (w. a bit of salt, vanilla sugar & baking powder). Then I add the melted butter. The rest I do as you do.

I made this cake yesterday and it turned out amazingly spongy and light. Wen I pressed a slice in my hand and then released ,it came back to it's normal form! Great!

Ingredients:
Cake flour 80 grams (1/2 cup + 3tbsp)
Cocoa powder 20 grams (1/4 cup)
4 egg yolks (66 grams)
50 grams milk (4tbsp)
6 gram vanilla (1tbsp)
A pinch of salt
50 grams sugar (1/4 cup)
40 grams oil (1/4 cup)
4 egg white (130 grams)
1/2” hot water
There did not use hot water
Correction 1tsp vanilla not tbsp😅
You don't write lemon juice

Sponge cake is actually *not* as sweet as other 'normal' cake recipies. The amount of sugar is ideal for sponge cake - if you want to add more sugar just add more sugar into YOUR cake. No need to change the recipe.
a sponge normally does not have sugar. The recipe is perfectly fine :)
