- 👉 In this video, I am so excited to FINALLY be able to feature emulation on iOS (iPhone & iPad) with the Delta Emulator now available on the Apple App Store. The Delta Emulator is the first legitimate emulator available on the App Store after Apple's change in policy and marks a very important milestone. The Delta Emulator is capable of supporting various Nintendo platforms including the NES, Super Nintendo, Gameboy, GBC, GBA, Nintendo 64 and Nintendo DS. We will be exploring the Delta emulator and go through the setup and install as well as cover gameplay, settings, tips, and even test out various controller options.

This is crazy 😂😂 used to have Delta like 2-3 years ago and after multiple revokes and moving on to other stuff I forgot all about it. Just downloaded from iOS store and all my stuff is still exactly how I left it I can’t believe how easy that was 😂 FINALLY

As someone that uses android phones. Apple has actually made the jump from some of the issues I've took with iPhones. USB-C connection and now emulators. I may consider iPhones in the future now

Hi Ipad user here. It works just as intented but it has a rotating canvas feature to fit the screen better. Everything else works as shown in the video.

On my iPad every time I start a game it doesn’t have the buttons it just shows my keyboard and I can’t get rid of it :(

I agree, I was very impressed but how everything just works. I’m hoping they can add some key things to it and then this will be one really solid all-in-one option!
Hopefully they add options for PS1 and PS2 or a separate app for those platforms.

How do you change Gameboy games to play in color? I know it’s not full color but even limited color like playing on a GBC
Unfortunately, right now it doesn’t have the ability to do that. The old GBA4iOS could do it but I don’t think it was ever added to Delta.

Anbernic and the rest of the gang will have to step their game up for real now. I’m sure Dreamcast and dolphin will come in the future. Handheld pc will still be untouched, but this steps all over the retro handheld market! I was just about to get an Rg405M for n64 emulation…but now I might use my iPad mini since it’s always with me and carry a small controller.. So I’ll have to hold off GameCube for now.
I think you are incorrect, the reason why I use my Miyoo and RG35XX H is not because I can't run those games on my phone or tablet, but the nostalgic experience I get when using the devices. Personally, I don't see anything changing for the console sales.

In my early testing, it's been very solid! I did notice some graphical issues in one game (Cruis'n Exotica).

You might need to go into Settings > Delta and then make sure the Microphone access is enabled. 🙏
I have multiple games downloaded but was wondering can i play ps2 or psp games on there. I see where i can download them but when i try to add it wont add it in the files so i can play??
No, PSP and PS2 will not work with the Delta Emulator. PSP emulation is available on the App Store with PPSSPP. I actually have a video coming on it very soon covering it. 🙏

For the EU, you will need to get Alt Store from the App Store and then download it through there. This is only for EU regions.

As long as you’ve loaded other games, you just swipe left or right to change the platform on the main screen.

Stupid question : Is this available on Android? I've done a bit of research and it seems like there is an Android version, however I can't find it anywhere... On the Delta website, the download link downloads a file with the word Delta in it, however it installs Retroarch. What's going on? Is Retroarch made by the company that makes Delta and thats why its different? Again, I'm sorry I just a bit lost.

The version of Delta on the App Store doesn’t currently support it.
Kind of Nintendo-focussed for now. Might be added in the future.

Yes, it's not a native iPad app but still works just zoomed in.

it could be in the delta app there a setting called "Respect Silent Mode" you need to turn it off.
Found it. If you have sound recognition on turn it off. It fix I can hear sound with respect mode on or off now.
If you’re on silent mode, there will be no audio by default. In settings, there is an option to disable that so it plays audio even when on silent mode.

you just dl the roms from the websites and add them to the emulator with the + the roms are like 5 mb for advanced games

Kind of funny how big of a deal this is from an Android user's perspective. We have this basically since the Samsung Galaxy S1 and yet the internet is exploding about the fact that you can finally do this within the good old "golden cage". I'm glad for you Apple users though. It's great to finally be able to use the hardware power and nice screens for emulation, especially when it comes to higher generations.

You say this, but it's that same "golden cage" that has made game development progress faster on IOS than Android. Historically, exclusive games get released on IOS first and sometimes never release on Android at all. Many games receive updates on IOS in favor of their android counterparts as well. If IOS becomes extremely friendly to emulation, I could easily see a future where emulators advance and evolve on IOS beyond their android counterparts.
