Indeed but there has been many better than him. If I fought this guy I would stop it and do to him what he has done to many in the UFC. Many would but UFC has had a really selective and crummy roster for too long now.
Incredible hey?! I wanted tony v khabib more than anyone but after seeing him v Justin and Dustin, I’m pretty confident i know how that fight goes. khabib said himself, he could have KOed connor at early rounds but he didnt do cuz people might say it's luck, so he decided to just grind him out and make him tap at the end of round. and I think connor himself realized that too, that him and this guy are in different level.
This guy never looks tired in his fights. And if he gets you on the ground you know you are done..! Masha Allah what a fighter..! No trash talk pure beast..!!!
That's because he fights people he knows he's going to win against, hence why he backed out of the fight against Tony Ferguson which was supposed to be one of his last. In fact he's pulled out of and denied over half of his fights and not to mention him missing weigh ins and just being genuinely shady, he might be a decent fighter but he's not as good as you think, he's a rat in the ufc community
@SOUL BYTHEPOUND facts hurt my feelings? Here's a fact. He beat 3 champions that were on the p4p top 15 list. That's more than any champion previous to him. Not only that but he completely dominated and finished them in consecutively more impressive performances while never being threatened. He was really good at getting people to the ground and not letting them back up, really awful to watch, but there are some people who enjoy that kind of style. Shame he never mixed it up though like gsp for example.

Damn man, It’s crazy to see how quick he came into the ufc and dominated and how quick he is now gone. It’s like his career happened in the blink of an eye yet during that moment he forever changed the game
Instant and seamless transitions in his grappling. No one really stood a chance. "The standard at which all lightweights will be judged" Very accurate statement.
Islam is actually giving lightweights a chance because he fights way more risky and seems to do less technical takedown techniques than Khabib and he's still completely dominating his opponents. Dagestan fighters are in a completely different realm
@@user-ud6xw3js3r Yeah, but I think Islam can be better than Khabib because Khabib is sharing his experiences and training with him. He even looks bigger and more fierce than Khabib!
Khabib's exceptional character traits are truly remarkable. Outside the battlefield of the ring, he never harms anyone. Just as a tiger fiercely clamps down on its prey, weakening it to bring it under control, Khabib also launches devastating attacks to dominate his opponents. He is one of the greatest fighters in history, remaining undefeated in 29 matches! Truly a man blessed by Allah, Khabib is the successor of the Muslim warrior Khalid Ibn Al-Walid. Much love and respect to you from Bangladesh, from one of your humble Muslim brothers.
I started paying close attention to him in that master class performance against RDA 6 or 7 years ago. Then he was riddled with injuries, finally got healthy and went on another tear, but after he beat RDA like that I knew he was gonna be a champion in that division
Good for you for me I start watching UFC since Aiquinta this guy is gangester there is no something to lose he fought hard But khabib dominate him still I aprciate this fighter
It’s awe inspiring to see how dominant he was. Staying calm deep in the guillotine with Poirier then capitalizing on his immediate fatigue was pure masterclass
When you take into account: What Conor did to Aldo What Poirier did to McGregor What Gaethje did to Tony It makes you realize how much further ahead Khabib’s skill set was.
I don't think its a good idea to add "What Poirier did to McGregor" cos Khabib was already retired at that point....but yea his skill set was just levels above everyone else's
@SOUL BYTHEPOUND So what if Ado was a featherweight? He was still one of the best guys in the UFC and Conor fodderised him. Khabib taking a year off also means nothing, if anything he would be disadvantaged due to ring rust. There was no reason for him to stand and strike with Gaethje, why does he need to do that? He's a wrestler by nature and a submission is no inferior to a knockout. He did stand with Justin anyway and took his best shots yet continued to go forward and lay the pressure on, which Tony was unable to do. I don't know what fight you were watching, Khabib stood with him for more than 60% of the duration of the fight. Besides how did Tony's striking fare? His gameplan was trash. There's nothing to prove he missed weight, you haters always try to grasp at whatever straws you can. MMA maths may not always be a thing but there are levels to the game and Khabib showed he was a step above
@SOUL BYTHEPOUND Khabib’s from Dagestan, Russia and Fight Island is located in Abu Dhabi, so I don’t know where you got the idea his fight with Gaethje was on “home turf”. Did you also forget there wasn’t an audience for that bout? Also, what do you mean he didn’t “stand and strike with Justin”? About 1 minute of their fight was spent grappling, everything else was contested on the feet. But yeah, the accomplishment of submitting a guy coming off a dominant win over Tony Ferguson via a mounted triangle choke (despite the loss of his father and literally breaking his toe 16 days earlier) is nullified by being a few pounds over at the weigh ins.
After watching this video I can understand why people have Khabib in the GOAT conversation. His relentless approach to take you down and insane top pressure was literally unbeatable. What an amazing skill set to have.
Very humble. Especially when he asked UFC to put him on #1 P4P, because he deserves it or when he was saying that he is on different level than his opponents. He was talking about respect and then kicked Tonys belt. Those statements has nothing to do with reality. There is a reason why Russians don't like him and it's not his origin. He was good at fighting, but let's be real.

I don't think its a good idea to add "What Poirier did to McGregor" cos Khabib was already retired at that point....but yea his skill set was just levels above everyone else's
The guys a cheat he greases up before fights
Even if his style never liked me, at this point it makes no sense not to assume the difference between him and the rest of the division
After watching this video I can understand why people have Khabib in the GOAT conversation. His relentless approach to take you down and insane top pressure was literally unbeatable. What an amazing skill set to have.
