Khabib retiring was the best decision. Any unstoppable champion eventually gets defeated by age. Fighting against rising younger fighters will bring you good amount of money but his ultimate undeafed legacy will be gone. He is not gready. He achieved his goal, perserved his dignity and chose peaceful life out of all those noises. What a disciplined guy he was.

Conor took the pre fight trash talk to new levels against Khabib snd he paid dearly for it. Against most fighters he was able to back it up in the ring, but not against Khabib who used it as fuel and McGregor has arguably not been the same since, the aura of invincibility surrounding him was well and truly dismantled and probably helped Poirier beat him twice.

I’ve wrestled guys like him in tournaments as a top county champ. guys who just year after year took the state. They know right away just as you if your stronger or not once they get a hold of you. Dude the grip strength I can’t even imagine with khabib. Wrestling can be boring but it’s still the toughest sport out there. Because you can’t fight back. Only leverage and skills of strength. The UFC lost so much when Khabib retired, we the fans did too. I could never get tired of watching the cycle repeat itself over and over again, there's no man in that weight division that could stop him period. No trash talk, no antics just straight up smesh and maul.
I couldn’t agree more. He showed that respecting and caring about your opponent is not weakness. If you show compassion and restraint because you have no power, it isn’t admirable; it’s nothing but an excuse. When you have the power to cause great harm, and then you choose not to, that is the most admirable thing. His displayed character is a true role model for future combat sportsman.
Honestly Khabib gave MMA a more restored reputation with his humble personality, I mean no offense to people like Jon Jones and Conor McGregor(great fighters) but they are a big reason why MMA fighter are mostly thought to be Cocky arrogant assholes with potty mouths, Khabib came in with respect and humility but ruthlessly took down anyone who fought him and retired, Honestly an amazing career
I have been watching the sport since the mid 90s. I have seen really, truly great fighters come and go. And I am telling you I have never seen an mma fighter, in any promotion or weight class, dominate every fighter he faced like Khabib did. The dude is legitimately singular in his dominance. And I know every fighter can be beaten... but there were times where the guy just looked "unbeatable." Every fighter would be like, "He's one dimensional" and I would be like, "No he isn't." Every fighter would be like, "He hasn't faced a fighter like me" and I would be like, "Yes he has." Every fighter would be like, "He won't impose his will on me" and I would be like, "Yes he will." I hope everyone enjoyed watching him. Because I doubt we see another one as dominant as he was for a very long time.

A kimura taken all the way to breaking the arm is actually quite horrific. I saw it happen before, the guy now lives with a metal rod nailed to his humerus. His humerus was splintered by the torque exerted on his arm (it made a loud pop that I remember to this day).
Khabib did speak the same about Gaethje fight he first wanted to go for arm bar but then he knew that Gaethje said he would never tap so he rather went for choking him out then breaking his arm in front of Gaethje parents who were present at the fight.
I've known that since the beginning.. like that's what mcgregor does, starting clout, attracting audience, entertaining people with his acting just for the sake of money and power and people are still arguing like some dumm sheep over that fight like it was their own fight. Mcgregor was one of the reasons why I started watching UFC. he's like Valentino Rossi, who made people watch the sport, but the trash talk towards Khabib and his personal life (which I find unnecessary) was too harsh, made it satisfying to watch him getting smacked.
I was a fan of McGregor at first. But how cocky and disrespectful he was towards people especially Khabib turned me off real quick. I was very happy when Khabib humbled him.
Khabib is my favorite fighter in MMA history. He was an absolutely dominant fighter. As one of the people in the video says, the amazing thing with Khabib is that everyone knew his game and no one could stop him. But what makes me respect him even more is that he maintained his humility and walked out on his own terms. The man is a legend and, imo, the greatest fighter of all time.

Its a shame he didn't want to round off his perfect record with 30. I don't care who they put up against him in Lightweight, he still would be undefeated. But I totally get why he stopped. Seeing the pain he felt at the end of his final fight knowing his dad wasn't there to watch him... that was rough. 29 wins or 30, it doesn't matter. Khabib is still the best fighter to ever step in that octagon.

Khabib retiring was the best decision. Any unstoppable champion eventually gets defeated by age. Fighting against rising younger fighters will bring you good amount of money but his ultimate undeafed legacy will be gone. He is not gready. He achieved his goal, perserved his dignity and chose peaceful life out of all those noises. What a disciplined guy he was.
Truly nobody can defeat time. Best to be humble and accept that you are aging and retire.

I couldn’t agree more. He showed that respecting and caring about your opponent is not weakness. If you show compassion and restraint because you have no power, it isn’t admirable; it’s nothing but an excuse. When you have the power to cause great harm, and then you choose not to, that is the most admirable thing. His displayed character is a true role model for future combat sportsman.

Honestly Khabib gave MMA a more restored reputation with his humble personality, I mean no offense to people like Jon Jones and Conor McGregor(great fighters) but they are a big reason why MMA fighter are mostly thought to be Cocky arrogant assholes with potty mouths, Khabib came in with respect and humility but ruthlessly took down anyone who fought him and retired, Honestly an amazing career

I have been watching the sport since the mid 90s. I have seen really, truly great fighters come and go. And I am telling you I have never seen an mma fighter, in any promotion or weight class, dominate every fighter he faced like Khabib did. The dude is legitimately singular in his dominance. And I know every fighter can be beaten... but there were times where the guy just looked "unbeatable."
Every fighter would be like, "He's one dimensional" and I would be like, "No he isn't." Every fighter would be like, "He hasn't faced a fighter like me" and I would be like, "Yes he has." Every fighter would be like, "He won't impose his will on me" and I would be like, "Yes he will."
I hope everyone enjoyed watching him. Because I doubt we see another one as dominant as he was for a very long time.

The arm break part of this video gave me such a deep respect for Khabib. What a legend.
A kimura taken all the way to breaking the arm is actually quite horrific. I saw it happen before, the guy now lives with a metal rod nailed to his humerus. His humerus was splintered by the torque exerted on his arm (it made a loud pop that I remember to this day).
I wonder if he would have broken Conors arm in the 2nd round had Conor not defended the kimura attempt
Khabib did speak the same about Gaethje fight he first wanted to go for arm bar but then he knew that Gaethje said he would never tap so he rather went for choking him out then breaking his arm in front of Gaethje parents who were present at the fight.

Mcgregor was one of the reasons why I started watching UFC. he's like Valentino Rossi, who made people watch the sport, but the trash talk towards Khabib and his personal life (which I find unnecessary) was too harsh, made it satisfying to watch him getting smacked.

Khabib is my favorite fighter in MMA history. He was an absolutely dominant fighter. As one of the people in the video says, the amazing thing with Khabib is that everyone knew his game and no one could stop him. But what makes me respect him even more is that he maintained his humility and walked out on his own terms. The man is a legend and, imo, the greatest fighter of all time.

Its a shame he didn't want to round off his perfect record with 30. I don't care who they put up against him in Lightweight, he still would be undefeated. But I totally get why he stopped. Seeing the pain he felt at the end of his final fight knowing his dad wasn't there to watch him... that was rough. 29 wins or 30, it doesn't matter. Khabib is still the best fighter to ever step in that octagon.

I've been out of the loop with MMA for a few years, but it seems like Khabib is still unbeatable. Based on the video I just watched, he's defeated all the fighters I thought could take him down. Honestly, I can't even imagine anyone who could beat him at this point - he truly seems invincible! :)

Look ill share something personal. I’ve personally seen Jesus (Not worthy), Heaven and Hell. Hell is worse than what you think (I was shaking after that experience), and Heaven is better than what you think. I have also received a personal healing miracle, I can go into details if you want. This is how God works. If you give Him the benefit of the doubt, He gives you more and more. Would I spend even 2 minutes preaching if I had an ounce of doubt? (I’ve experienced way too much)
Will never forget Khabib and never got tired watching videos about him. He brought class to the sport in a way that no other fighter did or will possibly do. Being humble and respectful made him one of the greatest.
