I used to live along this line from 1991 till 1996 near Nassawadox Virginia and used to watch and chase long trains sometimes 50 or more cars to Cape Charles and watch them get placed on a barge and shipped to Norfolk Virginia. Will miss that railroad. Thank you Rudy and Kendal both engineer and conductor for giving me a ride on the train from Pocomoke Maryland to Cape Charles back in 1992.
I remember running over the orange. I was conductor for Bay Coast for 4 years. Lot of fun and good memories made. I cried when I shut the engine down in Pokomoke for the last time
Delmarva Central Railroad is suppose to take over, plus, the Delaware Coast Line Railroad from Georgetown, DE to Harbeson, DE will also be taken over by DCR, and the DCR that operates all the tracks that they were suppose to take over, will have their own local. The Alco The DCLR used to have, alco RS-16 No. 2, was also sold to someone somewhere in Connecticut. It is now being repainted at the shops in Georgetown. So basically, no abandonment taking place as DCR is taking over. Hope this helps.
The Buckingham Branch now runs the trains on the other side of the water from there [Little Creek]. I hope one day they'll come in and rescue that end of the line too. I'm sad to see that it closed. Great shots
Wait a second, what happened to Engine LLPX 2014, the locomotive that ran over the Orange? The locomotives that were in this video are Engine 2001, and Engine 2000!
Very cool Alan! Sometimes it's nice to reminisce. Long live the Stupid Orange! Congrats on the 15M views my friend! Keep the crew safe out there! Cheers, Danny
Do the crossing signals still work? Once on a large section of railroad that had been abandoned in northern New England for about ten years ,I took a jumper cable and connected the rails down from a very rural crossing and the signals started flashing and worked just fine.
No surprise they rusted like that so quickly, I've been through there a couple of times down Rt.13 when I was a trucker going from NJ to VA and NC. On one side of that area is the Chesapeake bay, and the other side the Atlantic ocean, so exposure to salty air and moisture does them in quickly. Hopefully they will get some customers out there and be put back to use. Maybe several customers and RR jobs to go with it.
it's sad to see railroad companies and railway subdivisions to go onto the sunset for good. a lot of things can factor into a subdivision/line or a rail company closing.
Very sad to kiss the Hallwood-Cape Charles portion of the bay coast railroad goodbye. I’d be curious if the Little Creek-Norfolk portion is abandoned too.
Looks like those two locomotives are ready for conversion to razor blades or Campbell's soup cans. Sad to see. Also, who is responsible for those two pieces of equipment? How is it they can just abandon them there in place? The one with the traction motor missing looks like an accident waiting to happen.
Just doing some research reference this rail line as I live just a few cities over from here. They are now tearing up and removing the rail lines from Cape Charles to make a walking trail. This officially seals the fate for no future rail service or hope for recovery.
This makes me feel like the short line railroad where I live will become abandoned but no it will not Because they are building a new train track that goes Down Stratford road in Moses lake It’s known as the MOSES LAKE RAIL PROJECT
+Millenniumforce *I presume the Bay Coast RxR went bankrupt this past year?* I noted several varnish and a caboose, ex-New York, Chicago & St. Louis, on static display a couple tracks over from the forner high iron.
What’s the name of the song at the end? It’s pretty catchy. Otherwise, great video. I used to go on trips with my family to the eastern shore and I would never take my eyes off the track hoping to see a train. It too bad that I’ll probably never see one go down that line.
The Delmarva Central now owns and operates it "In June 2018, the DCR took over operations from the Bay Coast Railroad on trackage owned by the Canonie Atlantic Corporation between Pocomoke City and Hallwood after the Bay Coast Railroad ceased operations on May 18, 2018. The DCR took over the portion of the Bay Coast Railroad between Pocomoke City and Hallwood in order to continue rail service to the remaining customers along the line.[13][14]" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delmarva_Central_Railroad
Hey man you still driving that 4th gen Buick Regal? General Motors contributed heavily to the decline of the railroad. I used to always buy the newest Regal but until I found out what General Motors did I stopped giving them my money.
would you like to do the stupid orange season 6 preview we've been waiting a long time to see the stupid orange again ever since the movie came out last month
Yeah what a shame I remember driving to Virginia Beach seeing these locomotives working line about 20 years ago working the agricultural chicken feed plants what a shame business has dried up
They had the same thing happen up here in Canada, the former Conservative government sold the rail line to Churchill, Manitoba, a seaport on Hudson' Bay, the only way in or out is the rail line to the Genosee & Wyoming Group, they had flood that washed out the line and then claimed it was too expensive to fix, the current Federal government took it over and had it fixed within 2 months, now the trains are running and you can get back in there to see the Polar Bears, and they can get their food and fuels in for the town of Churchill. So rail line can come back to life.
The Bay Coast was sold in two divisions. Last day of ops was July 31 2018. It was not abandoned. Besides, I hope this guy gets arrested for treaspassing.

Did u ever get to see some steam engines on it
I just drove thru there today on 9/28/2020 and it hasn't changed sadly. Also headed north to Delaware on 13 and those tracks look like that too.
I realize Im kinda randomly asking but do anyone know of a good place to stream newly released movies online?
@Azariah Ivan Meh try flixportal. just search on google after it =) -angel
I remember running over the orange. I was conductor for Bay Coast for 4 years. Lot of fun and good memories made. I cried when I shut the engine down in Pokomoke for the last time
Seekanddestroy1ful Oh really? You ran over the orange?

I am a local railfan here on Delmarva, so I know all about the railroads here.
Millenniumforce is the Number One Railfan! Thumbs up if you agree!!
I also like Distant Signal
Jaw Tooth i like your videos and i agree with your comment
Its always both sad and interesting to see a abandon railroad.
I was looking for someone the make a comment about 2001 not being 2014. Thank you.
2001 got scrapped
Very cool Alan! Sometimes it's nice to reminisce. Long live the Stupid Orange! Congrats on the 15M views my friend! Keep the crew safe out there! Cheers, Danny
Glad you documented that one.
So what happened to the other engine and I heard Delmarva central took over the line
They took over the line north of Hallwood, Virginia.
There were two partial engines in Cape Charles. The black one was scrapped.
As of now, 2014 has been leased to the Cape May Seashore Line in Tuckahoe, NJ and the Eastern Shore markings are gone.
Do the crossing signals still work? Once on a large section of railroad that had been abandoned in northern New England for about ten years ,I took a jumper cable and connected the rails down from a very rural crossing and the signals started flashing and worked just fine.

Unfortunately, they dug up the tracks and turned it into a path. Its the end of the line for this railroad.
it's sad to see railroad companies and railway subdivisions to go onto the sunset for good.
a lot of things can factor into a subdivision/line or a rail company closing.
2001 had a Leslie RS3L on it. So sad to see it there. 2000 looked like it was in great shape though.
love the old N&W caboose
You can restore the railroad back into its regular railroad or a railroad attraction just or a little play area
Good to see you all! I enjoyed the video
Thanks for your videos. It is great you involve your family too.
Ive been there once but never saw a train go by there it’s sad i had a lot of fun just looking at all the stuff on my way to Virginia Beach
Some of the abandoned tracks in dublin city centre were converted to luas teams instead. The lines got busy again.
New trams on the lines. It's like european system boost around the city centre.
The locomotive that ran over Orange was actually numbered #2014. A LLPX GP38.
This is sad seeing another rail line being adandoned happened here by me over the last 20 plus years we lost a short line now it’s a bike trail
Very sad to kiss the Hallwood-Cape Charles portion of the bay coast railroad goodbye. I’d be curious if the Little Creek-Norfolk portion is abandoned too.
Sad thing is that i remeber when the episode came out and sadly the railroad is gone. :(
I used to work on the Barge that brought the railroad from Cape Charles to Virginia Beach
Looks like those two locomotives are ready for conversion to razor blades or Campbell's soup cans. Sad to see. Also, who is responsible for those two pieces of equipment? How is it they can just abandon them there in place? The one with the traction motor missing looks like an accident waiting to happen.
Great video. As a side note Americans certainly like their food.
Just doing some research reference this rail line as I live just a few cities over from here. They are now tearing up and removing the rail lines from Cape Charles to make a walking trail. This officially seals the fate for no future rail service or hope for recovery.
I read in the local paper down there that there is some people in favor of restoring that portion as a tourist line.
This makes me feel like the short line railroad where I live will become abandoned but no it will not
Because they are building a new train track that goes Down Stratford road in Moses lake
It’s known as the MOSES LAKE RAIL PROJECT
1:15 The month and exact day was my birthday June 1,2018 while I was celebrating it A train went through
+Millenniumforce *I presume the Bay Coast RxR went bankrupt this past year?* I noted several varnish and a caboose, ex-New York, Chicago & St. Louis, on static display a couple tracks over from the forner high iron.
No way, I can’t believe my own eyes!
Didn’t have a video of the New Jersey seashore railroad for tour 9 when you said you come back October of 2018?
Another one bites the dust. Sad to see them go that was a nice railroad.
11:42 same locomotive, but it was 2014 not 2001
What’s the name of the song at the end? It’s pretty catchy. Otherwise, great video. I used to go on trips with my family to the eastern shore and I would never take my eyes off the track hoping to see a train. It too bad that I’ll probably never see one go down that line.
I'm gonna try to rebuild and own it. I'm determined.
Sad that it became abandoned.
They need to revive it, they need to petition it as well.
BCR #2000 Looks like it was recently painted. And the other engine looked like it was used for parts...
2000 is clearly missing a whole bunch of cooling and lube parts in the gaping hole at the end of the long hood.
Recent news this whole entire railroad line has been ripped up to a rail-trall and 2001 has been scrapped I wish rail trail would stop
Hello millenniumforce I'm zeke I'm your biggest fan ever😍😍.
11:43 no thats not the train that ran over orange that trains number is 2009 the train that ran over orange was 2017. stiil love your vids
Actually 2014
Actually that engine number in 11:43 is 2001
The Delmarva Central now owns and operates it

I remember hearing this in the news. So sad.
What news channel said the line was abandoned?
Literally nobody in that family has heard of a treadmill or vegetables.
That’s sad that they don’t run the trains on that line anymore. ☹️☹️
Hey man you still driving that 4th gen Buick Regal? General Motors contributed heavily to the decline of the railroad. I used to always buy the newest Regal but until I found out what General Motors did I stopped giving them my money.
Sold it 5 years ago.
What's the name of the outro music?
would you like to do the stupid orange season 6 preview we've been waiting a long time to see the stupid orange again ever since the movie came out last month
I’m planning on making more railfanning videos myself but still staying anonymous
A Stunning reality - - -
Big Rod would be Appalled !
Omg can believed they abandoned that track.
was a rough ride on that track
When are you going to be in the New York area?
Was just in New York last week.
I saw a Bay Coast Railroad this Thanksgiving
Great video!
Somebody told me they saw track workers running down these tracks.
Omg the fugitive train wreck film set in the intro!!!!!
Hahaha i was rubbin my eye when what appeared to be text spelling: POKEMON appeared. After rubbing, I found POKEMOKE :D I had to laugh!
Kinda looks like the Genesis jet.
A good side is that kids that like trains can go there and pretend they are driving a train
Yeah what a shame I remember driving to Virginia Beach seeing these locomotives working line about 20 years ago working the agricultural chicken feed plants what a shame business has dried up
My birthday is on June 1. Last train came through on my 13th Birthday.
The railroad should have spent the money on fixing the tracks instead of the signals. I mean they don't go that fast anyway.
2001 was not the loco that ran over the orange it was loco 2014 just info
Surprisingly the horns are there still
Millenniumforce its sad how that disel was sitting there.
Just saying, the rail line has not been kept and weeds are horrible as of August 2020
I HEARD THEY MADE A TRAIN MEAUSEM THERE
Must be nice to walk away from all that investment!
You need to get laid or something. You sound like a bitter prick
Heartbreaking😢
Would any one like to purchase these slightly used locomotives? I would definitely have a loco at some point.
Rip eastern shore
I can't see the video
15M views on THAT? Wow, standards have dropped to an all time low. Stonks.
That loco is kinda painted like up 4141
Edit: # 2000
Its now a rail trail
It’s spelled “Pocomoke”
Its the end of the line for that railroad
as of today 7/8/2022, the tracks are all entirely ripped up besides some locations
I missed the fucking stream 😢😭😭😭
Wait wait wait. You said 2001 ran over orange but 2014 did.
I Guess trains were never in used.
Its june 1st
You didn’t shave for the photo shoot? I’m so disappointed. Man of your passion and knowledge ought to be clean shaven.
WOW 😳
It might become owned by CSX
Explain
That locomotive sucks like you do Jack 👽👽
served a lot of miles on those Paducah geeps when I worked for CCP.....they were great die hard, use and abuse locomotives....
You think imgok g to watch this with all those yellow dots?
OH I BET
You spelt Pocomoke wrong BTW.
Get ready for many more abandonment the railroad is a dying industry !
To bad ...how about building or buying a truck that rides the track and take a trip down the line that would make video
I VISIT THERE LAST MONTH I SOLD THOSE DIESEL ENGINES
