Coquihalla Disaster - We're Outta Here!

- Опубліковано 6 жов 2024
- It's been almost four weeks stranded to a 4 KM section of the Coquihalla Highway. Heavy rain storms destroyed bridges and roads around our home. We've been documenting our experience along with the reconstruction of the highway. On this video Mike & Ute, who have also been stranded in their RV, head for home. We also include some incredible shots from the Othello area of the Coquihalla.
This is a beautiful tribute.
Not a lot going right in the world these days, but everyone here seems to be on the most remarkably awesome side of life.
That’s Canada for ya bud
Lol I feel like I know Mike and Ute after the past month of videos, they seem like wonderful people and I'd be happy to be stranded with them anytime. The Ste Bros family are also great people and have done an amazing job documenting this whole ordeal. Thanks to all of you!
Totally agree 😊
It’s impossible not to love you guys. Get home safely
Mr. Bennett landed in many spots where people were stuck and offered help. Thank you Valley and everyone who has been helping in Hope

Great example of the human spirit of all the residents of British Columbia
Good Luck Mike. What a character !!
Ditto to everything that is said below … simply an amazing story! This chapter ends with shared love and laughter - hugs and tears of appreciation, while standing on a broken bridge, in a snowstorm. Yup, that about sums it up. 🎄☝️❤️
Well , I teared up , and that's something I rarely do. The 'Thank You';s " were well delivered and deserving.
Gonna miss you folks. Thanks for taking the time and having a bit of fun.
Pellet and Ute are the shit. The car community was rooting for you and never doubted the two of you for a second!
Beautiful video in the deepest ways. Thank you!
Real people filming real people coping with real events for real people to watch - that's what you get when the news reporting isn't trying to sell advertising. Love it. Thank you. Great up dates on the highway too. Thank you.
Awesome bunch of characters, bless you all.

I believe when it comes to friendships and interactions with ppl that nothing is by accident. Ppl find each other whether good or bad, and we make the best of it. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Without your videos we would never have seen this side of this disaster or the rugged beauty of British Columbia.
How many times can I hit the LIKE button? So wonderful to see such kindness and friendship that comes out of disaster. Whenever you wonder why bad things happen, just remember this. It’s so that people like this can show their true colors and shine like stars.
Wonderful people all.
to see the kindness of humans to other humans is truly touching and has filled me with hope for mankind..there is hope when we unite!

Amazing videos guys... All amazing people thank you for sharing your journet
I have done a few mission trips with Samaritan’s purse after floods and tornadoes, both recovery right after and rebuilding long after. I hate that disasters happen but have made many friends because of them. There is good in everything including the bad.
I’m glad I found this channel and got to see this happy ending for mike and his wife.
Just an old man sitting here on Sunday morning with tears running down his cheeks amazing all the love I just feel like one of the family and proud to be that. That was just so special.

The speed of the progress on the repairs is astonishing.keep it up
This reminds me of a very well-known event in history which is now celebrated in theatres all over North America, as you all know. Come From Away. The human spirit is unbreakable! And yesterday we learned of another disaster in the U.S. where dozens lost their lives and thousands their homes and livelihood in another disaster. Stay well, everyone!
Wow....brings tears of joy. Such an amazing story. Wishing the best for you all.
What an incredible life's journey and story this disaster has spawned. From a terrible situation friendships have emerged that will last a lifetime, wish I could have been there to share the wonderful bond that developed between these two beautiful families. Good on all of ya!
What an a adventure, history in making..Thank you for sharing your videos..🥰🙏❤
wow ...Mike and Ute must be happy to be heading home .... but it must be a little sad to see them go ...very interesting and to have had those 4 km of the highway to your selves must have been so strange ..? so glad you guys are filming and uploading !
Love that. Great family’s, great friends for life!
Nothing like good friends, only thing better is making new ones ....
This warmed my heart. Such great kindness and new friendships during such incredible storms. Thank you for keeping us up to date about how things have been for you all. Be safe and I wish you the best for the holiday preparations!

All the best to everyone affected
Tears! Tears of joy and amazement!
Safe travels!
And a huge Thank You for videoing the repair efforts! You've got a subscriber for years to come!

Further proof that strangers are just neighbors you haven’t met yet.
Happy trails to all of you. Keep the vids coming whatever they may be. ...Cheers...

It's pretty impressive how fast that repair was made to get the highway back into something useable.
I guess that it's been "all hands on deck".

Life long friendships made. Cheers to you all. Proud to be Canadian but disasters bring the kindness out no matter where on this planet you live.
you never know how God is going to use you. For example, stranded on a highway with your rv and for 3 weeks you help others and they help you . It is beautiful

So happy they get to go home, in this horrible tragedy they made new friends. Hope they got home safe
Folks from around the world,,,, these are typical class act Canadians you can meet all across this great country. Rarely does one get to see this up close and personal on the UA-cam. So grateful the boys filmed and uploaded these, wishing everyone involved a safe and wonderful Christmas and holiday season !!
New friendships formed...these are the ones that'll last a lifetime.
Very touching!! Great to see everyone coming together to help 🇨🇦 💪

restoring faith in humanity...pulling together to survive and making the best of the situation and finding new friends along the way.
What a great story! I'm impressed by the whole day by day chronicle and the new friendship is beyond words!
Such a good news experience despite the sudden isolation crises...but you folks are resilient and this is proof that with hearts & open minds humans will always help one another. It's a wonderful story of support & rescue in BC's wilder areas. Happy Holiday season with big hugs & appreciations, to Mike & Ute and all the helpers who cared to go the extra way where no highway was possible!
Heartwarming story and quite the unexpected adventure.
