Dr. Bertoni is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Neurological Sciences at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Director of the Parkinson’s Disease Clinic. Dr. Bertoni received his MD and PhD (Neuroscience) from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He also attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor to complete his residency in neurology and his fellowship in neurochemistry. Prior to joining the UNMC faculty in December 2008, Dr. Bertoni spent 19 years at Creighton University Medical Center as Chairman of the Department of Neurology. Prior to coming to Nebraska, Dr. Bertoni held academic appointments in Michigan, Texas, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

What amazes me the most is the fact that someone survived a shotgun blast to the face to begin with 😮. Usually if you get a shotgun shell to the face, your head is GONE. But this is interesting. Especially considering the guy tried to kill himself by putting it in his mouth. No one could survive that
