How is the weather there in September?

I’ve heard the fall is one of the nicest times to visit because it’s not too hot or too cold

It's a great time to go. I never visited Poland or Auschwitz but I did live in what was then West Germany for 2 years when I was in the Army in the early 80's. Poland and Germany have similar seasons and weather conditions. If you do decide to go, go around late August to mid-October. The weather starts to get cool around that time. Don't go in the middle of summer. Europe does get hot in the summer. Mid to late October is usually when the weather turns chilly, sometimes even downright cold.

Zloty is pronounced like zwattie, the l is pronounced like a w. W's in Polish are pronounced like v, so in Polish the city is pronounced like krakoff.

My grandmother was from there. But my husband lost family there. I could never go as I get too emotional.

@@Sheworkshardforthemoney so sorry for your family’s loss 😞 it’s super understandable. The guide told us that many people visit to look for their loved ones names and pictures 😭

@@TwinTravel03 You're so sweet. As I get older it seems to bother me more.
I notice you go on some eclectic trips, Auschwitz, African safari & St Helens, OR (that vid lead to this one). I'm really sorry your trip here to St Helens wasn't want you wanted. It's safe to raise a family here but it should be labeled "safe and sedate". The kids keave as soon as high school's over so that says it all. Be safe on your travels, ok.

I feel bad for what the prisoners had to go through especially those children

It’s horrifying how some children didn’t even get a chance to live 😭

Thank you so much for uploading, some good tips and info I was hoping to find out. Great video. I would say tho that maybe the couple kissing were just appreciating having each other and not living through Auschwitz, but I dont know. And kids playing on a track that once represented the journey to death for many innocent people may not be as bad as you think. I think those that died would be happy to see children now playing on those tracks and not more of their people being sent to their deaths. The holocaust is over and people being happy might just be a good thing.
